"Sonia, eh?" Kendra eyed the small fox, who seemed to be trembling in her presence. Hoping she hadn't intimidated her, she tried to turn in a way so that her piercings weren't as visible, and she wasn't quite so looming and dark. "Sorry if I...Err...Scared you..." She said apologetically, trying to be gentle, and not as ominous. She swallowed deeply, feeling the pressure on her neck as the lump slipped tightly past the Madison. Shuffling her paws around awkwardly, she tried to start a friendly conversation. "So, nice weather, huh?" Kendra said, talking to nobody in particular, but hoping at least one of the foxes would respond, and that they didn't find her boring, having picked one of the most generic conversation starters.

Aww, and now the blue vixen almost looked chastened. And sounded...awkward? Shy? It only seemed to add to her charm. "No, no," Sonia said hurriedly, "I'm fine. Never better." Hopefully that would alleviate Toki's worry as well as Kendra's. "And, um, Kendra? ...did I say that right? ...You might be able to help us. Ari and Toki and everyone want to know how much it hurts. Piercings, I mean. And thank you, you're, um, a wonderful model for the Madison I was failing to describe to Ari just now."
Good grief, she sounded like a complete spaz. And in front of Kendra! Augh! Her tail wound ever tighter around her body, the fur fluffing itself up and refusing to calm.

"Oh, good," Kendra added, glad that Sonia hadn't been afraid of her after all. "Yep, that's my name. Oh...The piercings...Well, they don't hurt very much at all to be honest. It's mainly the aftershock that bothered me. Purple is very good with them, finishes nice and quick," Kendra wouldn't admit that she had almost cried after having her first Industrial put in, she didn't want to make a fool of herself in front of all of these foxes. She didn't respond to Sonia's model compliment, instead she blushed, not being able to think of words to reply with that wouldn't make her seem arrogant. Lowering her head, she pawed at the ground a bit, before jerking her head back up and to the side. Her eye had caught a glimpse of something furry and gray dart into the bushes. She narrowed her eyelids, searching for the creature that had moved, but to no avail, it had scampered away. Not thinking that it was perhaps rude, she silently crept away, towards the shaking bush.

The bloodstained fox took in the information with a grateful nod. She'd been right. Not really painful at all. The prospect was daunting, of course, but if she could look half as good with piercings as Kendra did...well, it'd be worth a lot more pain than the blue vixen was describing.
...And there was something moving in that bush. Sonia blinked, extrapolating Kendra's path with her gaze - was it something edible? Food sounded good at the moment, she had to admit: breakfast seemed like ancient history, and she had a horrible feeling her stomach would growl and embarrass her. Out of respect for the elder fox, she remained silent and watched.

Toki smiled. She was so glad Sonia was happy now. "Piercings don't hurt much? I'm glad. Um Kendra do you know anyone with a tattoo? And do you know if the told you if it hurt?" The small dolphin marked girl smiled wagging her tail about happily.
Toki looked at Ari. He seemed okay but he wasn't talking much. She wondered why.
"Well that's all fine. So I'm going to go grab a snack. Come if yall want just try not to be annoying." Ichigo nodded then walked off to a near by berry bush.

Crouching as low to the ground as she could, Kendra held her breath. She had never honestly hunted anything before, as only Cygnus thus knew, but the navy blue fox felt she was ready to try. Making sure to keep as quiet as possible, she locked her gaze intently on the trembling foliage. She felt the tension building up in her powerful back haunches, and before she knew it, she had sprung noiselessly onto the bush. She heard a faint squeak, and slowly Kendra opened her eyes. Looking down at her feet, she saw a small amount of blood on one of the pale blue paws. Breathlessly, she parted her toes just far enough to see, a rabbit, small and gray, in the firm clutches of her paws. Triumphantly, she pulled her head back, a grin coming over her. She retracted her claws carefully, then gingerly took the rodent in her mouth, turning around to trot back to the pups, her head held low.

Kendra bent down to place the meat by her side, so she could open her mouth to talk. "Hmm? A tattoo? Oh yes, Cygnus has one. I'm planning on getting a white one, fire, just there on my back," she motioned to the middle slope of her back with her tail. "From what Cygnus has told me, it didn't hurt much. He didn't really want to talk about it though," Kendra offered, hoping it gave them some kind of suitable answer.

Toki looked at the dead rabbit. It was kinda sad seeing it dead. Since she had never thought of killing or being mean to another animal it kinda felt weird. "Cygnus? Oh I'm glad he said it didn't hurt much. Thank you Kendra-chan."
Ichigo smirked at he looked at the dead rabbit. He gathered enough berries to fill him up. If someone wanted some they would have to get them on their own he wasn't going to share so easy.

Kendra looked back and forth from Ichigo's sly face, to Toki's blissfully pleased one. They were so different. Kendra wondered how they could stand being siblings. Seeing Ichigo reminded Kendra of the berry bush he had just gone to. Some fruit would be nice with this rabbit..."Sonia, watch this for me?" Kendra gently tossed the limp body to Sonia's side, hoping she would make sure nobody stole it. She turned around, stalking over to the bush. When she got there, she tugged at a rather large leaf with her mouth until it came free of the plant, and placed it on the ground, right under a fairly heavily laden branch of berries. She wrapped her tail tightly around the limb, like an anaconda around it's prey, and slid it swiftly down, so all of the berries poured off of it and onto the leaf, which was waiting below. She took the ends of the leaf in her mouth so that all of the berries sat inside of it like a hammock, and steadied herself.

As he saw Kendra come close to him, he hid his berries away from the adult female. He wasn't going to let her take his food. Ichigo's blue striped tail went back and front annoyed.

Sonia placed a firm paw upon the still warm carcass, the movement almost convulsive. The shock of seeing something dead was powerful: she had known that this was necessary, but that was a far cry from almost feeling the animal's life jerked from its flesh. Nevertheless she guarded the meat religiously, awaiting Kendra's return with a touch of pride. She, above all the others, had been trusted with the task.
And at least the bloodstains would not show.

Once Kendra was sure her balance was perfect, she slowly started making her way back to the others. Once or twice a berry fell out of the leaf sling, and she cringed at this, feeling defeated. When she finally arrived back with the pups, she set the leaf tenderly down, making sure the berries didn't roll too far away, and then pushed them back onto the leaf with her nose. She glanced up and saw Sonia with her paw on the rabbit, looking a bit shocked. She giggled softly and managed a small, "Thank you," before protectively taking the meat and placing it on top of the pile of berries. Now, as she looked at the feast she had prepared, it did look like a bit much. She leaned down and ate a few of the decadent fruits, and some of the thigh meat, before she looked back up at the others and said, "Well, would any of you like some?"

"Eh? Oh no thank you Kendra but thank you." She smiled but it was weak. her heart was sad the rabbit was dead. Toki looked at her brother. They where as different as different could get but they where brother and sister. It was weird every time she thought about it.
Seeing the female went back to the others; He began to eat his berries. Every now and then some juice from a berry came out of his mouth or a berry would roll away.

Despite her earlier shock, the rabbit was starting to look good. And the berries were ripe, sweet - the dark juice had soaked into part of Kendra's tail, and the urge to clean it away was overwhelming. Shaking herself, Sonia moved closer. "...If I may, I'd like to try..." she said cautiously, sniffing at the meat - it smelled as good as it looked. "I feel guilty not bringing anything to swap for it, though... Dare's very particular about trading fairly for what you get."

"Suit yourself Toki! Go ahead Sonia, it's okay. You don't need to repay me, I swear, there's too much for me as it is," Kendra urged the fox to eat. Kendra leaned over to take another mouthful of the rabbit, enjoying the savory flavor, and looking at Sonia with a pleased face, trying to convince her that it was delicious as it smelled.
