At school I'm reading Shakespeare's Othello. For pleasure I'm reading Stiff: the curious lives of human cadavers by Mary Roach and am starting Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk. I just, as in 10 minutes ago, finished Alt Ed by Catherine Atkins actually, it was fun, quick read.

I just finished reading a book called Redshift - Extreme Visions of Speculative Fiction. Originally published in 2001, it's a collection of short stories that, in the words of the editor, continue the revolutionary expansion of scifi. There were a couple of interesting tales, and one or two that would make a good novel.

I'm reading Valiant by Holly Black...It's actually a fantasy ^.^ Yay me! I'm finally reading a fantasy novel xp So far, it's OK. There's been a lot of sexual references and the mom is caught making out with a guy. Buuuut...I'll read more and see if it gets any better.

According to the cover of the book, Holly Black is the #1 best selling author for New York Times. Never heard of her before this book...

I'm currently making my way through Eragon and Eldest, though I have to admit I'm not enjoying it as much as everyone told me I would. I'm of the side that thinks it's porrly written (granted, good for a 16-year-old), cliche, and a rip off of every fantasy novel I've ever read. There are a few deus ex machinas in there that I'm very upset about as well, certain areas where the author makes a big deal about something for chapter upon chapter only to solve everything in a page.

I also just finished Moon Called by Patricia Briggs, which is a phenominal vampire and werewolf story with a strong, believable female main character. The relationships between werewolves, humans, and vampires is intricate and well thought out. The plot itself is fast-paced and does not disappoint.

I also picked up Howl's Moving Castle, again. It's as lovely to read the second time as it was the first.
