He came back, and made a grave for Gwee they had abandoned in their zeal for marbles. Those things were truly evil, if they could make people go insane like that.

With the grave made, and a silent prayer uttered, on a hunch he moved to the Construction Yard. Unlike most of those involved, Xallen hadn't been hit by anything yet. He was ready to go.

Xallen could see again, but he was forced to retreat. He'd need the help of his allies. Thus, he immediately sent a text message for Zen to join him in the construction zone.

While he waited for his ally, he looked in the area for metal and a welding kit to help repair his damaged limbs.

Zen cut through to the construction yard where Xallen told him to meet him, as he arrived there stood Xallen, well he was moving and apparently looking for stuff. "Xallen, sup, what's the situation?"

Xallen quickly refueled when he noticed Zen had arrived. He then found a welding kit, and began to fix his cut up arm. While he did this, he explained what happened to Zen. "I went into the factory, and turned on the lights. I saw the thing for like a minute, but then it blinded me somehow and I couldn't see anymore. It attacked me with magical blades, which is how my arm got hit. I don't think it made any sounds either; that was probably magic too. I know it smelled like meat...or cheese, kind of. However, once I left the factory, I regained my vision. I probably couldn't take this guy alone, especially with him ambushing me. But our odds aren't so bad if it's the two of us."

He finished up his arm and looked at Zen. "Should we go back and try some recon?"

"Yeah, let's go get him, I'll remember to keep what you told me in mind. I'm guess who ever it is probably has a marble, if we take this guy out that'll be another one for me, you, and hooze." Zen readied himself for battle against someone who could blind him, a layering of red laces Zen's eyeballs, if this enemy blinded with a flash technique Zen shouldn't be affected, if it was magical his plan might be a failure. "You ready?"

"I'll tell you something else before we go. It wasn't a flash or anything. I was surrounded by darkness. Even my cybernetic eye couldn't see a thing. We have to be very cautious when we go." Xallen finished up his maintenance and headed over to the robotics factory.

"Damn, oh well we'll figure something out." Zen followed Xallen to the factory.

Adam walked into the construction yard calmly, taking his last drag on the cigar in his mouth. It calmed his nerves, but he felt as if he was wasting the fine tobacco when he wasn't already relaxed. He returned his thoughts to the marbles, and the mark he knew he would need to manipulate there energies. He looked toward The Institute. That was his goal, but first he had to make his way clear across the construction yard without getting attacked.

Adam crossed the yard he had now considered a dangerous place cautiously, holding his AK in his arms as he made it across the length of the cursed place. He had the safety off, but his finger was well above the trigger guard, making sure that he would not fire the fine rifle accidentally. As he reached the end of the construction yard, he began to feel safer, and lowered his AK, tossing it behind his back so it may swing by the sling strapped to the rifle. He knelt down into a runners stance, dug the toe of his combat boot into the dirt beneath him, and kicked off, hard. He dashed through the remainder of the area, headed toward The Institute, hoping that he could get one of those marks tattooed to his skin so he could manipulate the marbles energy.

At some point, someone set up a sign.

Quote:
Beware of Cerebrus.

One head always lies.

One head always tells the truth.

One head always barks.

You may ask the dog one question. He knows the secret of a great treasure.

Sure enough, there sat a Cerebrus. The middle head was, as promised, barking, and the other heads hung there quietly, watching for any signs of movement in the nearby area.

Customs >> Yard

The three slightly-confused wanderers of RAIF strolled into the area, and promptly saw the sign.

"Wonderful, another riddle!" James exclaimed, promptly facepalming. He didn't really have anything against riddles, he just had something against riddle-slash-monsters.

"One question, eh?" He looked to his team, wondering if they had any suggestions.

"You think that's one question each, or one question as a whole? Because I've got an idea for the latter... former... still working on that one."

Promptly, he scratched his head, thinking.

Enter RAIF and the friendly generic character that they just picked up to fill a slot.

Disa was almost tempted to suggest that they ask it what the meaning of life was, but refrained, despite the amusement it would provide her.

For the moment she was content to ponder the situation while examining the the three-headed canine from a safe distance.

"This kinda thing really isn't my bag, James," Stryphe shed himself of responsibility for the riddle as quickly as possible, "you know that."

He looked into the yard, eyes narrowing.

"However..."

He smirked, grip tightening on his halberd.

The dog watched the three, obediently waiting for a question.

Well, except for the middle head. It just wouldn't shut the hell up.
