Adam was ducked helplessly, ready for death.

Then, out of nowhere, Aiolos flew above him, like an angel send from the heavens, and grabbed at his left arm. He opened his eyes and see that Aiolos was headed toward Durem Reclamation.

SCREECH

He hadn't counted on that, but who could really? Tien was now cursing almost constantly in Chinese. He practically leapt into the passenger seat, pulled the rifle out of the back and almost forcefully ripped the marble off Tokai's tattoo and exchanged it with his own, putting the magnet in his remaining place.

He then slid out to sit on the window frame. And, hucking a grenade into the wreckage of the Ferrari, took careful aim at the gliding pair while Tokai drove.

Tokai muscled his way into the front seat taking the wheel, using one hand to drive and another to pull out his raging bull. He was now matching Tien cussing in Japaneses as his didn't exactly feel very good at the moment. Fortunately he had all he needed, a weapon, a target, and a comrade. Pointing at the now gliding pair himself he let a off shot with his raging bull, 2 down three more shots to go.

Team G-Force, finally making some serious travel time despite their hinderances, followed the Great Wall from the Coast. Eileen took the time to climb up on top of the Wall once she'd found a spot with enough handholds for it. As they walked along, the young lieutenant scanned the horizon.

Eileen could not miss the fire still present. She waved her allies south, towards the West Field.

A loud explosion rocked the landscape as the filth cover remains of what appeared to have once been a car came hurtling to a grinding stop half way towards the wall. All was quite for a sec until the sound of metal buckling rang out as Tokai kicked the drives side door off its hinges, pulling him self from the wreckage like a wounded beast. He scanned around the area for any threats with a gun that could only be described as a hand cannon, as he waited for his comrades to pull themselves free as well.

Tien crawled out of the flaming wreckage a bit worse for wear. Ruined suit, bruised body, and still no satisfaction. He was, needless to say, near blind with rage at this point. He wasn't use to opponents like these. During his work even the dregs of society could scrape together enough honor to stand and fight after a failed ambush. He wasn't quite sure how they'd escaped after their failed grenade attack but that was near inconsequential next to what had happened next. Despite the weakness he'd felt when his marble had mysteriously failed, the other group had managed to fare almost perfectly, especially their leader even considering the massive bloodloss from the hot lead amputation Tokai had given him. And still they ran away. So many aspects of the battle he couldn't quite explain or entirely piece together. It was as if fortune shined on them despite their base cowardice. This he simply couldn't abide. The men fought like disgusting coward, only reinforcing his long-held beliefs that Legart had only begun to dispell about white men. This is why he had followed them so relentlessly but he supposed in the end he was only a human and though he felt confident he could defeat either of those cowards in single combat, pure luck had granted them at least temporary escape. But...

But...

Tien grinned. It seemed his defeat was not quite complete.

He walked stiffly away from the wrecked vehicle, ignorant of any trouble his compatriots may be suffering. Despite the chaos he recognized where the sewage had deposited them and... yes. There it was.

The Triad strode slowly, deliberately up to the wrecked mess of the Ferrari. The third member of their party they had left in the rolling car to flee and save their own lives. He was still in there. Either by a bit of luck or perhaps one of their team was indeed affected by the weakening effects of the lost magic. Tien cared not.

He bent over and pulled the limp mass of flesh out from under the car and searched it for his prize. A marble, even a dead one, was still worth this bit of trouble. The heavy machine gun wasn't bad either. Under normal circumstances he may have checked for a pulse, but he was fairly confident the job was done.

Despite himself, a small grin painted Tien's features as he returned to his team. All things considered, it almost seemed a victory. 3/2 in their favor and with one of their opponents marbleless and short one arm. Not bad at all.

Legart had been weak for the past few hours, which was why he had been in the back seat laying down during the whole driving-fighting-shooting thing. In the wreckage of the car, with his equipment piled atop him, he reached to the front seat weakly.

"Tien... pass me the spare marble."

He couldn't get the equipment off him--or pull it or himself out of the car--without a marble in, thanks to the strange effects these things had on him. The shock of the car landing was thankfully not too bad--his body was limp, so he didn't get bashed around too bad, and as his compatriots had strapped him in with two seat belts across his horizontal body, he was strapped in decently well, but still had a few small cuts and bruises.

Tien crouched down next to the car at the sound of Legarts voice and fished into his pocket for their last remaining spare. Sure he had a new one but he was fairly confident it was dead. He chuckled, and handed it to Legart, placing the machinegun on the ground while he moved to help the guy out. A b*****d he was but no one deserved to remain upside in s**t for too long.

"So shall I get us another car?"

Legart unbuttoned his shirt partway and stuck the marble in, shoving his rifle, then his shotgun, then the s**t-covered boxes of ammo out in turn.

"Something fast, if possible. No pasta rockets or anything like that shitheap Ferrari, I want something sturdy. Find a Volvo S70 or 740 if you can--we'll need durability more than anything. Tokai, can you take some of these, please?"

Legart continued pushing ammo out the window of the wrecked car, but wasn't able to get all of it yet--when he got himself out, he'd get more of the ammo out, as well as the two spare handguns and the kevlar vests.

After picking up some of the spare gear Tokai glanced towards the other two and then towards the wall, "in the city" he rasped. Any one could tell that he was not fairing well, by all rights they should probably be dead, him most of all, but his stature still suggested to all those viewing him that he would respond with the most brutal violence possible if anything should set him off. When his companions were ready he trudged into barton town proper for the first, and perhaps last time.
