neutral Well everyone in the Scooby Doo gang knows Lex is evil and the same applys to Clark acting on what he feels... I'm not going to say Clark was wrong for what he did because he was on Red K... Normally he deals with the fact that he can't be with Lana for two reasons:

1) The first time he told Lana his secret she died

2) 'No relation ship can be built on secrets and lies'-Lana ( which is why be broke up with her at the end of Hypnotic)

Lex however I do think is wrong because he's not acting out of love so much as it is just trying to take what Clark has: His girlfriend, His family, His friends... The things he can't ever truely have. 'The things you want are always beyond your grasp'- Lionel

Yes yes Lex is evil. That is a given and a duh! Still, I believe that Lex does love Lana and cares for her. Sure he is in some little tiff with Clark only because of what Clark did to her in hypnotic and for not being good to her in the past.

Anyways, I don't think it is a fake pregnancy with the baby room and everything. "So, I have a dilema. I can't decide between stegasaurus or Mr. Duck." rofl

Clark never stopped loving Lana since breaking up with her in Hypnotic (5-16)... The Phantom didn't use Lana in Labrynth because Clark thought he loved her. The Phantom used Lana because it knew Clark did love Lana and he would accept the pseudo reality because of his love for her. In this episode Lana asked Clark, not to love her... because everytime he does he ends up hurting her emotionally by putting distance between them.

Clark thinks he loves Lana.

But if he really loves her so much, why won't he tell her his secret?

DestineChaos
Speaking on the Clark and Lana break up, didn't Clark put his telescope away after breaking up with Lana? I'm fairly sure I saw it in the barn...

Yeah, but they got it back for Labyrinth and I guess they just forgot to take it down again afterwards.

I don't know..One minute he is ready but then something comes up and he doesn't. He won't let Lana go because Lex is not a good person and Clark doesn't want her to be with him. And clue, your getting a little too far ahead of yourself. we don't know that yet.

Okay, finally got to watch it this morning. This was, IMO, one of the best written episodes. It had everything. Love, intrigue, hate, jealousy, powers... could go on forever... xp

Loving the scene where Clark holds Lois and jumps to that balcony with the moon behind them. So romantic. crying

Poor Chloe! She's always getting the shaft. emo

My heart litteraly skipped a beat when Lex was all "so how is the baby really?" "well, we all know this isn't exactly a normal pregnancy". Notice how Lex is more interested in his sick, twisted little science project than his fiance!? Jerk. stare
And poor Lana, she could have a monster growing inside her! gonk
My take on the entity growing in her womb: it's a hybrid of Clark's genes from that blood he gave Lionel a long time ago. Somehow Lex got his hands on it! It's really Clarks baby! In a way... xd

Can't wait till Lana figures out Clark's secret. I'll bet she'll try running back to him. "I can handle it, why didn't you tell me?" rolleyes

I thought you were a lexana fan.

Not sure if Crystal is a Lexana fan. I mean I know I am. Still, not sure.

I agree that the episode was well written. A lot of good lines like

"Lana is your past, I am your future."
"This is the present."

Ooooo burn.

Totally, as much as I hate to say it... Props to the writers for recycling a theme they already used and makeing it one of the best episodes so far... *wonders if Red K makes everything better*

*Imagines a Chest Burster from Aliens breaking through Lanas ribcage and eating Lex's face off*

I don't buy that at all. Like I've said before, Clark (and to an extent, the writers) likes to make out like that's the case, but what it really comes down to is the fact that he doesn't trust her to know.

They made a big thing back in season four about the fact that Chloe wanted Clark to tell her his secret because she wanted his trust. The fact that Lana had to find out by herself is telling.

And you can't love somebody if you don't trust them.

If it where up to Clark with what Clark wants, He would tell Lana his secret and ask her to marry him... As a matter of fact he did that once... kinda... In Reckoning. But then Lana was being chased down by a drunken Lex and hit by a bus in a rather nasty accident causing her to roll over 4 times and die... I guess what I'm trying to get at is Clark loved Lana so much that he pushed her away. I know that sounds dumb, but Clark knows since Reckoning that if Lana where to find out his secret her life would be in danger and he doesn't want to put Lana in that possition... even though it looks like she'll find out next week...
