Cassius holding his tounge probably had a very positive effect on the lemur, he actually behaved! He smiled, warmly, an expression that was just so much like him, and one that he hoped would look somply wonderful in the picture.. Though he also hoped that he would be picture-genic.. Was he too fat..? Thin..? Was his pose flattering? His eyes widened a little as he worried over this, silently, Y-Yeah... I wanna see it finished already!" He nodded a little, the smile back again, his eyes shining with happyness. He paused, mouth open as he was about to ask yet another question when he heard Cassius humming.. A simple tune perhaps..? He certainly didn't have a monotonous voice as most people did when they hummed.. Or he was tone-deaf.. Either or! He sat very still, his red hair happily falling over his face as his ears pricked right up.. Entranced for the time being.

He swayed to the side for a moment, studying the lemur's hair. ''Hmph...Yes, I'll have to mix...'' The naga washed his brush and began to mix together some reds, growling and continully washing his brush until he got the perfect hue for Florian's hair. A rare smile broke across his face as he swirled his brush in the new color, and bean to paint quickly, after swapping his thick brush, for a very thin one. He continued his humming, stopping only to murmur things about the art to himself. ''I must say Florian...This, if I'm correct, is going to be quite a work.''

The lemur couldn't help but be a little confused at his friend.. He always came across so cold and un-caring.. But then he would break his image of him by having a moment like this! Smiling! Saying something nice! It really left the red-head quite confused.. How was he meant to act around him? His ears pricked up at the comment anyhow though, "Really? You're doing my hair?" He laughed softly, not a silly tittering giggle for once, and his tail curled slightly in delight, "I guess I'm paintable afterall, huh? Not a total disaster yet..?" His ears flicked out to the side once more as he relaxed, his vibrant eyes shining with utter delight, "I really can't wait to see it you know.. I know I'm going to love it.." He sighed dreamily, the thought of having his very own hand painted portrait seemingly a dream come true.. Or maybe it was who was painting it that made it seem so nice?

His crimson hues flickered upwards, and he began to carefully edge the brush, capturing the style of Florian's hair perfectly. Concentrating wholly on the painting before him, he began to sing quietly, not consciously knowing he was. The naga's voice, calm and quiet, flowed through the cave, and it was only when he went to wash his brush he realized what he'd been doing. Sighing, he shook his head and stopped, dipping it into the new color and continuing with the hair. ''Handsome...'' Cassius murmured quietly, not knowing which one of the Florian's he was talking about. Both?
He sighed, his eyes fixed on the painting. He felt his mouth stretch into a yawn, and he quickly dropped his brush to place a hand over his mouth. ''Hmph...'' Cassius was too tired. He'd have to return here again, soon with Florian and continue, but for now...He'd have to return to his own house. ''Florian...'' He began to put away the paints and wash out his palette, before looking up to the lemur on the rock. ''I'm going to have to go. I'm too tired. We'll come back here together, and finish the painting, okay?'' He finished his packing, but left the easel, painting and the jars there. ''Like I said, we'll be back soon. So I'll leave them here.'' The naga slid into the water, before glancing back to Florian again. ''See you around Florian.'' He then began to swim away, back to his home.

The lemurs ears had pricked slightly when his friend had started to sing softly to himself.. It was really rather melodic and sounded very pleasent and calming to his ears.. It had made him stratch his mouth into a softer smile, his eyes drifting shut as he enjoyed the moment for now, his log tail curling ever so slightly on occasion. His nose wrinkled slightly when he heard Cassius stop however, "Handsome you say..? Aww.. Thanks..?" He smiled, a little lazily, sleepily perhaps as curled slightly around the rock he was settled on, intent for now to nap a while.. He watched his friend half pack things away and he nodded a little to him, he understood what he was saying. Later then.. "Hope to see you soon then, Cassius.. I'll come and find you tomorrow!" He gave him a small wicked grin as he turned to leave before sighing as he disapeared from sight, wonderiong if he really would come back and finish the painting another day..

OOC: I hope you don't mind if I just continue with where we left off OOC in the thread. x3 <3. Feel free to let me know if I need to change her font color. <3.
The red panda giggled happily, her arms lightly draped over Cliff's shoulders, her own fingers interlocking just above his chest. He was running at an incredible speed, and she didn't want to fall off just yet. The young girl closed her eyes and tilted her head upwards, enjoying the feel of the wind on her skin, and blowing through her feathery brown hair. After a few moments she opened up her eyes once more and squeeled quietly, unlocking her fingers to point towards the lake. They were coming upon it faster that she had expected, but that was fine and dandy with her! "There it is," she exclaimed happily from his shoulders.
It felt odd to be up so high, considering just how tall Cliff was compared to herself. Then again, she was short and only weighed approximately one-hundred pounds. She locked her fingers together over his chest again and leaned her face towards his ear, being sure that her short hair wouldn't get in his face and block his vision. "Hey, Cliff, do me a favor?" She asked softly, emerald green eyes focused upon the lake that they were so quickly approaching. In no time she was sure that they'd be at the lake's edge, and she didn't want to wait until it was too late to ask him to do this one favor for her. "When we get closer to the lake's edge, could you take me off your shoulders and throw me?" Selphie's voice shook slightly with excitement that she was trying to contain, but it was difficult. She felt as if she was about to burst at the seams with such overwhelming excitement! It was a rush!

(( It should be fine as it is, hun! ^^ ))
Cliff laughed aloud as he ran in massive rolling strides. Usually he went out for a run as the sun rose, through the trees near where he lived with the rest of his friends and family out around the lake and back. ANd he realised that it had been rather a long time since he had actually gone out to partake in what had become almost a ritual to him. His fine ears were flicked forward, focused on the lake, and truth be told he had almost forgotten that he was carrying the girl on his shoulders, the fresh air, the light and the smells were all too intoxicating!
That said, he very nearly jumped when Selphie reminded him of her exsistance and he laughed again, not even slightly out of breath, "Oh, OH! I see you're still there!!" He grinned, one white ear flicking sideways at her, golden blond hair completely losing it's style at the speed they were travelling. He only just about caught what she had asked him to do, hie bright eyes widening in surprise at the request. "Hey, wow, are you sure..?" He grin was broadening again. He's really rather missed training..
"Well, here's to hoping that whale isn't about then!" He gave the girl what he hoped was a reassuring wink as he firmly wrapped his large hands around her slight wrists and skidding to a halt of the pebble strewn shores, hurled her with all his might up over the water. He quirekd both brows, ears forward as he watched her go, tail flicked up high, alert to any danger that may arise..

OOC: n3n <333.
The red panda found that she was enjoying sitting on Cliff's shoulders, getting this free, fast ride. It was wonderful to finally have someone to run around with. Hey! Maybe he liked machinery as well! If he did, then they'd get along better than they already were. She looked around at everything, enjoying the height difference. She sure could see a lot more from sitting ontop of his shoulders! Being short meant that she sure did miss out on seeing a lot of things, she always had to walk closer to see something that a tall person could already see.
Although riding on Cliff's shoulders was fun for the young red panda, it still wasn't as intoxicating as a train ride. Oh, how she loved a good train ride! Soon she was humming her own little tune, the words that she sang whenever she was on a train running through her mind. Selphie's fuzzy brown ears flicked when she heard him speaking, and she laughed softly. "Of course I'm still here!" She replied in a chipper voice, blinking and laughing softly at his question. "Oh, I am most definately sure! I can handle it," she responded giddily. Her small figure was shaking slightly with all the excitement of the rush that was building up inside of her. It was almost too much for her to handle, and yet, somehow, not enough! Funny how things like that worked out.
"Huh? Whale?" Selphie blinked and her little ears flicked forwards towards the sound of his voice. For a moment she looked worried, but then she caught sight of the wink, and it did reassure her just as he had hoped. A laugh escaped her as she felt his large hands firmly wrap around her petite figure, and she bit her lower lip, anxiously awaiting the toss. And then it happened, in the blink of an eye he sent her flying towards the lake just as she had requested. The red panda did a couple of flips in the air, tucking herself into a ball. She ended up making quite a good cannonball splash, disturbing the water thoroughly. There were a few long moments where bubbles were coming up, and then finally, she merged, laughing happily. Obviously he had just made her day by doing her that one favor. "Cliff, jump in! The water is lovely!" Without waiting for his reply, it appeared that she was yanked down beneath the surface, when it was actually just the way she had dipped herself back under water. She swam around under the water, then reappeared on the surface once more, swimming on her back. Apparently, she didn't care if her clothes were completely soaked or not.

The percheron stood very still as Selphie went down, ears flicking forward as far as they could go as she splashed down, bringing up one of those large hands to shield his bright eyes from the sun. He paused, eyebrows coming together in a slight frown when she didn't surface after what was only a few seconds.. He hadn't been joking about the whale! His cropped tail swished once, twice anxiously as his hair at last started to fall back into place in it's usual style.. And there she was! At last he breathed a small sigh of relief, his usual slightly vacant grin returning to his features, eyes sparkling with mirth, "Thought he'd gone an' got you for a second there!" His ears flicked out to the sides, relaxing..
Which was probably the last mistake he'd make today, for at that second, without waiting for his reply of what would have been consent anyhow, one of his muscled arms was captured, and he was pulled into the lake, caught completely off guard and off balance! He sputtered, breaking up above the surface again, snorting a little of the water out his nose as his hair stuck itself subbornly to his face getting in his eyes, "W-What! You!" He laughed, having coughed minimally, "No one slights a klausian and lives to tell that tale, missy!" He mockingly bellowed as he caught a glimpse of her from under the curtain of hair over his eyes. He lunged playfully at her, his already fitted vest and chaps sticking to him like his hair. Uncomfortable, but passable!

Slephie had a rather devious grin on her face after she had pulled him into the water, and had been calmly swimming on her back after having pulled him in, that was, until she heard his mocking bellow. Of course, to her, this meant war. Not real war, with the fighting and the killing, but a war of games. It was war nonetheless. Just a lot funner and less dangerous. Well... that wasn't completely true. They were in a lake, and... apparently there was a whale in the said lake. But the red panda had little to no cares, and she wore a beautiful grin on her face as he lunged at her. Selphie dunked herself under water as quickly as possible, swimming rapidly away from him. She surfaced near a rock, but only long enough to catch her breath before diving back down beneath the surface. She was in good shape, just like Cliff, after all.
The red panda was bodly swimming back towards Cliff under water, and as soon as she was close enough to him, whether he was under water by this time or not, she clung herself to his chest. Her legs wiggled around his waist, and her arms around his neck. Hopefully, if he was under water by this time, he would be smart enough to surface so both of them could breath. She didn't tighten her grip, simply held on loosely. Despite the fact that she was a very carefree and playful young woman, what he said about the whale was subconciously eating at the back of her mind. She felt safer the closer she was to him - even if she could handle herself. Fact was the red panda had little to no clue as to how to fend off a whale, and she doubted she'd be able to do so. They were bigger and stronger, after all, and she knew her limits. "Cliff... will the whale really eat me?" Selphie unattatched herself from him and treaded water, looking down at the surface as if slightly paranoid, even though she giggled softly. She found her own paranoia to be amusing.

The percheron certainly had no qualms about following her, and after she had evaded his lunge, he dived after her with a laugh. The water was clear, and it was light, yet it still amde things interesting for him! Shapes and shadows.. And he had been pretty certain that there was a very much Selphie shaped shadow lurking by that rock.. With a broad grin, he pushed off and with a few powerful strokes under the rippling water he had almost caught up with her. Then she changed directions! And quite suddenly at that! He was usually quite proud of his reaction times, but even she had managed to catch him off guard at that moment, it made him jump ever so slightly, and having expelled a little of the air in his lungs, he struck out for the surface. They hadn't gone under too deep at any rate, but it was still nice surfacing.
Still the grin was present, and he briefly touched a large hand to the middle of the young girls back with a laugh, "You're fast! Almost too fast!" He beamed, his voice warm and friendly sounding almost dumb, a front he was always happy maintain, it meant people didn't expect much of him, so he could always surprise them later!
Lifting a hand he swiped most of the bright blonde hair up and out of his face, the effect of gelled back hair looking entirely alien on him. The bright eyes turned on Selphie again, still sparkling with a reassuring kind of warmth despite their cold colour. "Sadly, I'm pretty sure he would.. You are pretty bite-sized to him, eh?" he chuckled, giving her a small one armed squeeze, the very tips of his toes touching to the light covering of weeds floating at the bottom of the shallow section of the lake, "But you'd really have to piss him off before he did! Besides, you seem to be fairly glued to me at the moment, and I'm sure I don't look the least bit appatosing, huh?" Again with the dumb grin as older man indicated himself with his thumb. It was habit! "If he tries it, I'll sock him one, you know! Right on the nose!"

Selphie managed to grin at him when he briefly touched the middle of her back and commented on her speed. The young girl didn't exactly put up a front. She was spunky, fiesty, carefree, and clumsy... along with caring, kind, honest, and extremely loyal. But she was also very intelligent, and could be a leader, but perferred to be an equal... she also had a knack for tinkering and fixing machinery and/or electronical devices. But her real skill was organizing. She had done tons of activities in SeeD, and organized several events. Another good thing about her was that she could handle herself. Her size and personality often through people off, making them underestimate her, but she was quite capable of fighting alone.
Selphie peered up at Cliff with her emerald green eyes through her chesnut brown bangs that stuck to her face, getting in the way of her eyes. She listened to him as he spoke, and when he mentioned that she was bite-sized to the whale, she smiled, though it was nervously. Listening intently to everything he had to say, she finally laughed softly and patted him on the head, as if to reassure him. "No, you don't look appetizing... but then again, I don't eat other people," she laughed out softly, the grin once more set onto her lips again. "Oh, sorry," Selphie said quickly, letting go of Cliff to tread the water beside him. The red panda blinked when she finally realized that she hadn't even taken off her shoes before getting the water. She giggled for a moment before making a face when a long, slimey piece of weed brushed up against her leg. "Oh, that felt wonderful," she giggled out quietly before looking up at him. "Thanks, Cliff! You know how to make a scared little girl feel tons better!"

The thick-set equine simply laughed deeply, a comforting sort of laugh and certainly a friendly one. The others that he lived with all certainly found his quite the amiable individual and had all helped them out when they had needed him, for whatever reasons. As his build hinted however, he was a fighter and a strong one at that being born off-world in a different environment. A fighter and an engineer, very handy with a wrench and other tools in a pinch, but that was just about where his expertise would lie. After one such unfortunate encounter it had been agreed that anyone but Cliff was aloud to make any communal meals they had together.. And sadly the klausian hadn't seen much by ways of mechanics since he had arrived. A whole talent, wasted! He didn't realise exactly how similar he was to the young girl in many aspects, he too had unwittingly founded the anti-federation movement, Quark, a long while ago in the past, and had remained at it's head for a long while until he had stepped aside as it's leader, and a very successful organization it had been, he felt. Uniting people, it had been joyous! Of course, if you didn't ask, you wouldn't learn, and the idea that they could be so similar probably would never occur to him, sadly.
The ears flicked forward, the incredibly amused air about him remaining, the movement of his ears disturbing some of the sodden hair causing it to dangle down in front of his eyes once more. "Oh I do look it, huh? Well that's certainly comforting!" Again with the chuckling and the slightly demeaning pat. He did not take offense to this, it seemed to amuse him all the more! He rubbed at the back of his tattooed neck, the wet hair tickling somewhat, "And I'd be pretty shocked if you did! I mean, look how unassuming and un-carnivorous you look! You sure you don't have fangs? I mean, you're perfectly equipped for an ambush!"
And with another slightly cheeky smile this time he made to peel her lips apart to get a good look inside her mouth. He was pleased that she didn't feel nervous about the water anymore, the lake was after all a very entertaining place to spend an afternoon! Even with it's somewhat turbulent residents! The weeds weren't as welcome however..

Eventually Selphie would ask him questions about his hobbies, or things he was good at, simply because she liked to learn more about each and individual person that she had met. She always found it difficult to make someone a good friend if you knew next to nothing about them. Surely, they would both eventually find out - after her series of curious question asking - that they had plenty in common with one another. Though, so far, just knowing that he was playful much like herself was all she needed to consider him a friend. Despite the fact that she was good with organization and machinery, she had a true love. That true love did not have a name, per se, for it was not a person, but it was something else. Something that made her completely at peace, even though never one-hundred percent calm. Music. She adored it, admired it, and went out of her way to hear the various types. There wasn't a single piece of music, or style of music, she had heard that she didn't like. Even with the offensive music, she still couldn't find it within her to say 'I hate it,' or even that she disliked it. That would simply be a lie. She loved it all.
Selphie stuck her tongue out at the klausian, and blinked. The red panda looked down at herself, and giggled. "I guess I do look pretty non-threatening, huh?" She questioned in agreement, looking down at her hands before reaching up to feel her ears. She didn't look like anything other than a cute and cuddly, young, female red panda! Then again, that's pretty much the way she liked it. Getting underestimated gave her the upper-hand in most cases, it meant they didn't expect her to have any power. Now, that wasn't true. Her petite figure had plenty of power to compensate for its size. Not that Selphie was bothered either way. She would be perfectly fine with being weak, as well.
The panda giggled and wiggled when he reached over to peel her lips apart to get a good look at what was inside her mouth. And there they were, pearly white teeth. The canines could be considered small fangs, but they didn't look like anything too horribly dangerous. "I dun need fangsh when I huh-ave mah Nunchakuf," she managed out, giggling lightly at how odd her words sounded when she didn't have proper use of her lips. It made her appreciate them more, that was for sure.
