The day had certainly been interested, and had awakened Lela to the differences between canines and felines. Moving forward as the cub left the water, Lela let her mothering, sweet nature take over. Grinning fondly, she gave a dry lick to the top of Intombi's head. She had taken a great liking to the lion cub, and was very sore to see their day together end. But Lela was definitely sure that one day she'd try and come back to see Intombi, just as her Mr. Kika had promised her.

"It has been absolutely wonderful, Intombi. I'll have to come visit you again one day," she said, wagging her tail. She nudged the cub with her nose affectionately before turning, bounding up the small slope of the watering hole. Just as she crested the small hill, she turned, dancing up on her back paws and barking to the cub as a final good-bye. Her tail keeping a furiously rhythm in the air, the young wild dog turned and shot off in the direction of her pack lands. She only hoped she'd make it back in time.
