People have asked me if I'm Japanese before. Actually, someone asked me whether I was korean once, just coz I mentioned Korea in passing...
I used to know people who thought Chinese was included in Black, so...

I live in Malaysia and I was never mistaken for anything other than Chinese before. I started my part time job in a shopping centre this Jan. I'm really surprised that so many(not too many though, only several but it's already a big number for me) customers mistake me as Malay sweatdrop I was like eek when a chinese customer spoke Malay to me. Then I replied in Mandarin and he/she would apologise or say something like 'thought you're a Malay' sweatdrop sweatdrop sweatdrop Once there was an Indian customer came asking me whether I'm a Chinese or Malay. I said I'm a Chinese and he said some Chinese look like Malays and some Malays look like Chinese sweatdrop I think I do not look like a Malay for I'm not that tanned gonk

i'm often mistaken to be Chinese Indonesian... (but then the real chinese indonesians said i dont look like Chinese Indonesian)... Malaysians, or from China, some said I look Japanese.. and then my friend's father who's Japanese said i look Japanese.. sweatdrop
very few pple said i look singaporean... maybe it's becoz i dont have a strong singaporean accent... sweatdrop

I've been mistaken for Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese. xp It was all by the same person...
