Tolly looked at Nadira; "We are in the casam under the catacombs of the temple between pearle and Houka. I brought you here, you might remember seeing me appearing as a servant under Vermillions bluff, but as you vividly remember it didn't work out so well."
-----------------------------
The man chased her down and blocked her path. "If you want to be noticed, then stand up and be heard, if you want to crawl into the shadows then expect to be overlooked. Use your authority, trust your instincts, and know what you speak is heard by YOUR people. If your wrong your wrong, nobody is perfect, and queens are allowed to make mistakes. As to toleranth, he stands alone at this point, one kingdom against the whole of Loas, Vermillion never finished his job in uniting everyone, so you have every right to be in the decision making process. So why don't you go and set him straight while the nurses take care of the wounded, after that get something to eat and some rest."

Marta took a step away from the man when he blocked her path and squared her shoulders lifting her chin. one of her guards noticed Marta facing off with the stranger and was instantly behind her glaring at the man. "i understand what you are saying but i have only been queen for a few days and no one listens to some one so new ..." ((argh cant think)) she spun on her heel and headed back towards where tolly was, her guard stood there looking at the man to make sure he didnt persue Marta.
Marta arrived where Tolly was and walked up behind him "Lord Toleranth..." she said in a commanding tone that she didnt even know she had.

Tolly looked away from Nadira a minute when he heard Marta speak to him. "Yes? What can I do for you Lady Marta?" Tolly afforded Marta a respectful tone.
---------------
The man simply looked at the guard; "Some guard you are, protection is on many levels, you even half to protect her from herself at times, and I'm not meaning suicide either."
The man turned and walked away vanishing into thin air.

((M'kay...since I can't exactly remember what colors my characters' script was in...Ankhe will be black, Tsuki will be...blue I think she was, and Lyra shall be dark red again. That's the only one I remember for sure. -cracks knuckles- I've got a lot of typing to do...))
Tsuki had been watching everything from her shadow realm. She could feel the presence of the spirits in this place, they glided in and out of the shadows like the ghosts of memories that they were. Tsuki looked on as Marta first despaired, then through a series of happenings, ended up speaking with more confidence and authority in her voice than Tsuki had thought the Queen capable of. She watched as Shavas and Toleranth discussed the war and a flash of concern crossed her spaced mind as she thought about her friend's condition. That would have to be dealt with...somehow.
Her mind was spread very thin that she could watch everything at once, Tsuki could barely concentrate on coming back to herself and stepping out of the shadows. This place is really big, it shouldn't have taken that much of my mind to watch it all...hmmm, a thought for another time I suppose.' She thought to herself as she exited the realm next to Toleranth and Marta.
"Lord Toleranth, Lady Marta, I bid you both a good evening. I have something to discuss with you Toleranth." She said.
At the same time as all this was going on, Lyra was sitting next to a secluded corner deep in thought. I need to get back to my empire. My people will not be dominated by that demon b*****d! But what can I do...I have no one right now... she sighed to herself. A thought occured and she abruptly stood. She spied Toleranth, Marta, and Tsuki across the cavern and strode towards them quickly. "I agree. To what, unconditional peace. With you people from Esperanza and with you and your county Queen Marta. Rules can be set later, but this is a time of war. My empire is always battle ready, our art is that of war and because of that I recognize the dire situation we find ourselves in." Lyra ripped a scroll from her belt and with the small amount of magic she had summoned a quill.
She began to write on the scroll, her words were:
I, Empress Lyra Fa Houreka do end the conflict between Houka and Pearle for now and forever. Further, I swear alliance with those of Esperanza and Pearle that stand before me to be extended to their people as well. Terms and conditions of these alliances shall be discussed at a later date, one that is not in the midst of a war for our lands.
Signed - Lady Lyra Fa Houreka
Ankhe sat and observed.
((Haven't the faintest idea what to do with Ankhe at the moment, but she'll be going somewhere in a few posts.))

Before any of the others showed up in the room Marta looked at tolly and smiled with authority "it is Queen Marta Lord Toleranth i might not have been queen for very long but i still am one" she said her shoulders squared off even more as she looked at him like she was ten foot tall and arrow proof "i would appreciate being included in the plans that affect the people"
when the others showed up Marta nodded her head slightly but immediately turned to Empress Lyra "i shall sign that but there will be no occupation of either country thats the only condition i ask for ...our people don't need shadows hovering over them" she strode over to Empress Lyra and waited for her to finish signing.

"I would never suggest something so callous as that Milady and as I said, we have no use for such terms and conditions at the present moment. We are in a time of war, our countries are threatened and nearly conquered. I have no doubt that if we do not act quickly our lands will be completely under the shadow of this demon." Lyra said darkly.
"Now then, as you sign this I will speak my thoughts. Bear with me please.
As you know, my empire is going to be overrun by Laos any time now. I want to take myself, my son, and any of my guards that were caught up in your transportation Lord Toleranth, to accompany me on a mission. It may seem suicide to you, but I know exactly what I must do. I will make my way across my empire and gather any and all forces that are loyal. I will also bring my country's secret weapon upon my return." Lyra looked around at the three other people there and stood firm. She would leave no matter what they said, it was her people on the line and she would not fail them. Even if she had to start her own resistance.
Tsuki talked as she signed. "I too have a similar proposition. I am the rightful ruler of Inthe. Though my place has been taken I know my people are still loyal to my memory. I watched them sometimes from the otherworld. I can travel almost instantly to Inthe, we have a rather large royal army, it has only grown under the dictator like rulers my kingdom has been under for 16 years. I would take my daughter and my beloved friend Shavas. The white mage tower holds many secrets, it may be able to help her."
She stood back from the contract so that Toleranth could sign as well and then continued, "We have a sizable army of 10,000 battle ready men and another 15,000 off duty soldiers. Men and women both serve in the army of Inthe, or at least the women used to. The recent leadership has been lacking in that department but most of my subjects have been trained for battle. Inthe is a kingdom of battle, you have to be tough to survive on the streets. My point is that I will shadow travel to my palace, dispose of the demons that have occupied it, lead a small contingent of soldiers out of the palace as there are doubtlessly at least a handful still remaining there, and take back my kingdom street by street if I have to. One does not mess with my lands and live to tell the tale! You do not stand alone M'Lord Toleranth, Inthe will stand with you." She finished.
Ankhe stayed in the shadows as her mother had done before her. Though she didn't know how to stretch her mind, it was something Tsuki had learned in the otherworld. She decided to jump into the conversation after Tsuki's declaration of alliance.
"Mother, shouldn't we free the White Mage Tower as well. If it has been taken that is..."

Tolly looked at Marta; "It seems my discussions with you in the wing of wounded installed some confidence Queen Marta. I apologize for the deception, but it was necessary if you were to come to appreciate the value of your postion against me."
Tolly stepped back so he could see them and adress them all at once. "It is not my intention to delay your seperate agendas, it would be foolish of me to speak such words, but what I have done to this point is collect the visible armies of Pearle, Houka, and Esperanza. Placing them in secure hiding across the whole of Pearle n Houka this very temple is located under the temple that neither of you occupied in all the wars you have fought since its destruction. The wounded of all sides were brought here for treatment. When i do sign this parchment, my involvement will be unbaised, and my aide will stretch to any who calls in need of it."
Tolly glanced at Tsuki; "I'm sure now more then ever vermillion's sacrifice was just, what he saw in everyone gathered here is beyond my sense, but its beyond just titles and armies. Anyone requesting aide of me to any effect need only ask."
Tolly stepped forward and signed the parchment.

Shavas rolled her shoulders, and stretched with a groan. Her back was one large ache after sleeping on the cold stone. She couldn't have slept for more that a half an hour, and yet she felt she had slept for hours. Before her rest Shavas had been in the make-shift medical ward tending to a few of the more critically wounded men. She had been in the process of soothing one thrashing corporal's dreams when she saw the episode involving Marta, and a man who was cloaked in his magic. Powerful magic at that, and then the Queen of Pearle had left the room steaming. She couldn't be sure, but Shavas expected Marta would be having an interesting discussion with Lord Toleranth at this point. The grimy hallway the sorceress had chosen for a bed was deserted, and for good reason too, as the wards placed at either end would keep even the most addventuresome guardsman turn tail.
She ran her fingers through her long, tangled auburn hair with disgust. A conjured comb quickly worked at taming the mass to her taste. Finished, she slid out of her sweat soaked armor, and cleaned it with a spell. Despite the fact that she usually preferred to do such menial tasks by hand, she had neither the time nor resources to pursue these small chores. Peering down at her body Shavas was appalled to see that splotched of blood stood out in stark relief against her smooth pale skin. That taken care of, she donned the armor once again, the dark leather straps, plates, and belts of her outfit were molded to fit like a second skin, and provided mobility during the many gruesome tussels she was known for getting involved in.
She checked the beltknife at her waist, and the spiked molded into the knuckles of her leather gloves. It was always best to carry a few hands-on weapons, Magic couldn't protect you from everything. Satisfyed, she removed the wards and trotted through the twisting halls to the small chamber she had come to think of as the meeting room. She arrived intime to hear Tsuki deliver her offer. Thats right... I had forgotten Tsuki was a Queen... Shavas herself had no kingdom, and therfore no army to give the services of. The black mage tower was her army, but her students were mostly dead. The guards at the front gate would be there still. The spell she places about the tower was not only for protecting what was inside, but also for preservation. That includes anyone unlucky enough to be trapped inside when its master triggered the ancient spells.
No one but the master of the dark mage's tower knew of the secrets passed down from generation to generation of the battle hardened magic users. Shavas's predeccesor was an elf who had taken the time to earn them all, and taught Shavas in turn. Ankhe was emerged in the shadow realms it seemed, Since she was nowhere in sight.
Nadira was also awake. The small countess was watching the others with a tight smile. She was calculating the numbers of soldiers that were probably still marching to Houka. "I agree with Lyra, we can't allow Laos to take Houka. That would be one giant step to many if you ask me. Esperanzan forces are headed that way as well Empress. I could write a letter to the general and I'm sure he would aide you."
Her smile withered when she remmembered Metta. The tiny dracling had left what seemed like years ago, and would no doubt be frantic wth worry over where Nadira had gone off too now. Metta had been a present from Jadiera who charged her to care for one of the last of that dying race. She felt a pang of heartache for the tiny scaled fiend, but had to dismiss it with a shake of her head.

Tsuki nodded to Nadira and responded to Ankhe's disembodied question, "I believe that the mage tower is under seige or something of the like. I do not sense anything from it right now which means that it probably has its defenses up on full power. At any rate, I would take you with me daughter." She looked to Shavas and said, "I want you to come with me too. It would be just like old times, huh?"
She swept her orange hair back over her shoulder. It was dirty and matted with blood in some places. 'I need a bath...' she thought to herself.
"Exactly, the visible armies. Much of my army is hidden in case of events such as this. Or if we are invaded and the invaders go straight for the military looking people to prevent a strong resistance, or any number of other scenarios." Lyra said, looking at Toleranth. She gazed down at the chess like peices, "I also have a special...weapon. It would come in very handy and may be one of the key peices in this war. Thinking on it as I am, I wonder if the Lady Marta knows of her own royal weapon."

Rae wandered the temple, seeing the wounded and wishing she had the strength and power to heal them. She knew some medical spells, but they would not be useful. She sighed, then found a room that was deserted. She went inside and sat down on the floor. Wanting to cheer herself up and stop herself from shaking, she muttered a short, useless spell that made an orb of light swirling inside of it in her palm. She smiled at it. She years, this had been her favorite spell; using elements to form orbs. Useful if you have no light, but that was just about it.
((I have no idea what to do with her. sweatdrop ))

"I've sent for orbital wepaondary, but it won't arrive for another few weeks along with my reinforcements. So I must be patient and rely on the genuis of your nations. Their skills of war are frist rate in the sector of the universe, and i am honored to be fighting alongside many nations under powerful queens. However, Queen Lyra if you wish solely to return to your people without any rest i'll make preperations to have you taken to a detachment of your soliders along this stream to the north of your captial."
Tolly put his finger on the captial of Houka, and lifted it slowly as another piece formed underneath. He picked the piece up and set it on the table nearest Lyra. It was a very "This piece has the ability to get you through the barriers i have placed on this cavern. Those of you gathered in this room who are planning to leave shortly you'll each get a piece. However if it is captured by the enemy, or even touched by a person with thoughts of betrayl. It will crumble to dust and so I implore that you protect it heavily."
(I forgot this part below. Slipped my mind till a few minutes ago)
A woman came running with three men trying to keep up, and she skidded to a stop her hands coming to a rest on the table. "Lord Toleranth, I've finally heard about the names of your guests I had to come. Where is my husband, where is Vermillion at, wasn't he accompanying them?" She turned to search the faces, her eyes darting frantically to read each face to see if it was Vermillion perhaps in disguise.
Tolly looked at the lady and coughed a bit in order to catch her attention. the lady snapped back around. "Everyone I would you like to meet the wife of vermillion, Lady SalSane, Lady SalSane I would like you to meet Empress Lyra of Houka, Beside me is Queen Marta of Pearle, Nadira of Esperanza, and friends of your husband through his travels."
SalSane gathered herself up and afforded them each a respectful bow beofre looking at Tolly again waiting for an answer. Tolly didn't look comfortable since this was unexpected.

Kanashi had taken to sitting in a corner of the cavern, he stared at the ceiling and sighed. When he glanced down, he noticed the meeting of sorts that seemed to be taking place. Although he was too far away to make out exactly what they were saying, he noticed a piece of parchment was being handed about. A declaration of peace? Perhaps it was finally time to take action.

[[I don't really know where my character would go in this, either. ^^; ]]
Ayame simply listened to their conversations, saying nothing. She was always at Lyra's side, but at a distance, as a sort of 'in-the-shadows' kind of person. She was glad the empress had made the peace treaty, and thought what she had was short and sweet- to the point. In everything else, she really had no say. She was an advisor, and was only needed if ever her advice or a task was asked of her. And she was always there for the job, but otherwise, she was basically invisible- a thing of the shadows. They were all very organized themselves, so Ayame didn't have much to do or take care of.

Marta signed the paper with a sigh she was a little angry with tolly for deceiving her but she understood why. Marta looked at Lyra "i wasen't passed down such a secret i was appointed as queen so that the people wouldn't riot in the streets" she said her tone even more authoritative then any of the people in the room
When Vermillion's Wife showed up Marta bowed her head slightly to the woman who would soon be inconsolable and steeped in greif.
((i really suck at this i do apologize))

Nadira cast her gaze towards the ground. Her heart aching for this poor Lady's loss. She curtsyed deeply to Lady SalSane with a grim smile. Turning, she aimed a questioning gaze in Tolly's direction.
She took the treaty, and skimmed over it. Then she added her signature at the bottom as well, which was her right as Jadira's representative. Hopefully The Queen would be able to sign this herself one day. Lyra's two advisors looked rather bored in there respective corners, unfortunatly this was mostly just military stuff. Kanashi was nowhere to be found, although she had seen him when they first arrived.
Shavas watched with curious intensity as Vermillion's Lady frantically searched for her beloved. She felt a tiny pang of sadness for this unfortunate turn of events, and self consciously covered the mark on the side of her neck. Vermillion would have been strong enough if not for this, his bravery may have cost Laos his victory, but Shavas couldn't help but wonder if his sacrafice would prove to be unnecesary. She doubted it.
Despite the facts, guilt boiled in her gut. She had believed wholeheartedly that the lot of them had been duped by the cunning Lord of Domachi, when in fact he was saving all of their lives at the cost of his own. She had been ready to unleash deadly magic the instant before he was... Well that was all in the past.
Shavas would have never given her life for another before the last battle. Not even for her own daughter. Nay, Freya had been just a silly little girl at the time and worthless to her mother's cause of world domination. As cruel as it was to admit the dark intentions of what she now considered her past life, the only reason Freya was kept out of the way was so that she could not be used against Shavas. Near the end all that had changed, something had clicked, but before she had had a chance to figure what it was Shavas had been nailed to the wall with Laos's claws ripping through her abdomine. The slow drip of her own blood had lulled her to sleep, and she had never woken up.
Shivers ran down her spine. The corner of her mouth curled up into a half smile, "Tsuki I'm not sure I want to return to old times." She shook her head again, " I know what you mean my friend, and I should like nothing better than to accompany you and Ankhe... Unfortunatly I have a few things I must take care of before I join you there, I must stop at the dark tower for a couple of days. Hopefully I will then be able to join you. Plus I must ready that tower's defenses as well." Shavas bristled with indignance at the thought of Laos taking her home for himself. (For future reference, is the White Mage Tower in Inthe?)
