You think that Deidara is manly? Psh. Give me one good reason. His personality, fighting style, AND hair style convince me otherwise. He's a trap, that's why some people think he's a girl, DUH. His voice sounds like a guy, sure, but he's still a trap. If you are going to get your reasons from the anime, he looks god-awful in it, save for a few scenes. I would be surprised if you could find a manly pic of him in the manga. And don't tell me that I'm not a canon!Deidara fan, because I will accept him no matter what, even if he does have an eight-pack cheesegrater complete with curly blonde hairs underneath his shirt. (which I highly doubt. If Kimimaro, a short-to-medium-range fighter didn't have one, I really really don't think Deidara, a long-range fighter who relies on tools to help him, would.) Besides, if I wasn't a Deidara fan, I wouldn't strain my brain to post this huge rant about him. And I wouldn't have a huge collection of Dede yaoi. >:3
As for the whiny attitude, I didn't say he had one. I may have been, in your mind, implying he did, but no, I don't mean that at all. We don't know how he acts outside his missions, probably like a whiny brat. Hell, he could be Akatsuki's b***h for all we know. I highly doubt both of those though. I think he just acts like a sarcastic smartaleck. :/
