The fact that it is my dads name... also the fact that it is my brothers name.
THAT'S RIGHT!!! 3 people, living in the same house, with the same name >.<

My brother was named after my father... I was just a coincidence
June 24 in Italy is the day of San Giovanni... and Giovanni is Juan in Spanish... and my dad was all *jumps on THAT opportunity*
I just realized I shared my name with the entire guild... but I just had to make it clear that I wasn't named after my dad >.>

I am also called Elizabeth on all legal documents. However, my name (what I am called) is much more complex. I have a bajillion nicknames. I am not sure why, but I get new nicknames all the time. THe ones that are most predominant are: Flizz (abbreveation for Flizzard, which is a nickname from Lizzard, which comes from Liz) Fish (long story, but it's cause I was in band in 7th gradeish) My last name (which is censored cause you're stalkers, and people call me that in ROTC, as our Last names ARE our names in that class) Liz (no duh) and Elizabeth. Oh, and Lemon and stuff, but yeah. I really like being called my last name, cause it fits. I used to be predominantly a Liz, but now I'm kinda inbetween being an 'Elizabeth' or a 'Liz', and I dunno. I think next year I'm just gonna ask my teachers to call me (insert last name here) I HATE being called Elizabeth. And I HATE HATE HATE Liz.
Everyone calls me Lizzie 3nodding And then my Dad and Buzz call me Lizzie Beth sometimes. And thats about the extent of my nicknames xD

At least everyone so far has names that you can't possibly butcher. My name has two pronunciations, I use both interchangably, and I respond to both, but I prefer one pronunciation over the other. You can imagine how frustrating it is when I'm introducing myself to other people.
"Hi, I'm Danica." (Da-nee-ka; this is the pronunciation I like better)
"Oh, you're name's Niquita?"
"No no, it's Da-nee-ka."
"Tanika?"
Then I get frustrated and introduce myself using the other pronunciation, which is Dan-ick-ah. Nobody ever calls me Dan or Danny. I do have a nickname (three, actually), but I only really allow my family and a few of my brother's friends to use them.
I'll let you guys try and guess what my nicknames are. whee

I hate my name. Both my name and my nickname are extremely common, and it seems that everyone who shares my real name is a total asshat, so I get lumped into that whole "This name = person is an asshat".
My nickname is a little better, I mean everyone I've met with my nickname is pretty nice.
As for my lastname. Augh. I hate it, too. It just screams "Hick" and "dumbass" all at the same time. A bunch of you may be too young to get why, but my last name is Hatfield. So yes, Hatfields vs. Macoys. Any time I found someone older than me in Georgia, it was almost ALWAYS brought up.
And I just hang my head and say. "yeah.... That's me...."
If I get a chance, I'm legally changing my name to my nickname, and my last name to something else. I don't know what, but definately not keeping Hatfield.
Now that I'm mostly in Florida, I don't get hit with the Hatfields vs. Macoys so much, but if I run into a history buff... It's all about the damn stolen pig. STUPID.
I also hate my middle name, so I am just going to completely eradicate it. It just sucks. Like more than a whore on new's year's sucks.
As for names in general, I lump people into these groups. For example, the first girl I met named Alex(wasn't a nickname) was a total preppy a*****e of a b***h. Since then, any girl I meet named Alex seems like a preppy a*****e b***h.
Now, I know all of them aren't, but that's my first impression. And if your actual first impression matches mine, well then you really have to try uber hard to get a second impression in, because it's likely I'll avoid you if I can and treat you like crap if I can't. Hypocritical? Yes, I know. But it keeps me out of potentially bad situations.
Then there's people who I meet and hang out with a lot before I know their real name. Internet and in real life. So if they tell me their real name, and it's something I have a bad association with, say... Cameron, I'll say, "Nooo, but you look more like a "
It also seems like a lot of people with the same name look similar. So that factors into the equation, as well. It's a complicated, undeniably hypocritical process that I won't deny I do.

I'm fine with my name. It's really long and formal sounding, though. I really shouldn't complain since other people want more unique names, but I'm tired of people misspelling my name or mispronouncing it.
And I have a nickname I go by, but I really like another nickname that I could have picked when I was younger, but now if I tell my friends that I want that nickname they're all "NOOOWE'REUSEDTOTHENAMEYOUHAVENOWSOYOUCAN'TCHANGE" and I'm all "fiiiine T.T". Kinda like on gaia whenever I get sick of my username XD
And my last name is kinda comedical. If anyone asks me what my last name is I have to say "_______, no pun intended."
As for names in general, there's only one name I've ever stereotyped, and that's the name Angela. I've only ever known 2 Angelas, and both of them have acted very cruely toward me. One of them secretly hates me and occasionally proves it in a more than mean way, but around others acts like we're friends, and the other one just generally says mean things and plays pranks on everyone.

OMG!! I've ever know 2 Angela's too... and both of them were CRAZY. One of them was MEAN to everyone... and the other one, was VERY weird, LIKE REALLY.
I wouldn't hate my name as much if my brother and my dad didn't have it, but then I think about Burt... and there is NO WAY I would have been happy with Burt being my name.
