Rookin sent a burst of data into the ship, too small to register more than a blip of code (which was exactly what it was), and a trio of massive T-2 units marched on padded feets down the ramp. Eight feet of pure killing machines the T-2 were outdated, true enough, though little could stand against the might one of these relics could pump out. Armed with an air cooled .50 caliber machine gun graphed in place of their left arm these beasts of machines could blanket a kill zone in lead in a matter of moments, rending metal and flesh with equal indifference. A recoiless recycling laser cannon comprises of the right arm. Fueled by the T-2's onboard battery system this weapon can blast through the hull of a starship, given the time and power supply. A full revamp of the combat processes had been done, of course, linking it with Tegral's ever growing and improving combat network. A sensory dampener fixed in each one of the units provided almost complete secrecy for anything save optical, audio, and a few other key means of detection, up too fifty meters. Where previous units had relied on the heavy plating of their armor for defense, these units still favoring the heavy bulky plate, the newer T-2's also housed a personal shielding system capable of withstanding laser and balistic fire with equal ease. A pack of SLMs, shoulder launched missiles, fitted each of these towering juggernaughts on the field of battle to make up the punch that their machine guns or lasers just couldn't cut it. Additional armaments were also added at the borg's discression, but all came stock and standard with the previously mentioned weapons. These were no different; only they, replacing the .50 caliber machine gun, had a low-recoil, smooth bore, blast can launcher. The essentials of a zero-G gernade launcher for taking down entrenched forces and hull doors.

Behind those still were four of the newer Z-24 models. Sleek and slenders these stook no taller than an average human male, crafted from a recently descovered ore called Ombiox. Ombiox was a light weight, black, mineral mined after a world's core stalls, but only from planets in junctioned to a system with a white dwarf. These blackened ninja styled andriods seemed spry and quick to move, armed with a slender blade at the hip and a thicker on the back. Both made from ombiox as well, only the razor edges are harmonicly configured to cleave through shields as if they weren't there, combined with the dense ombiox being wielded by one of the latest in mechanized combat droids, made for a horrific foe to face in close combat. To handle those foes who simply refused to maintain a close quarter combat a slug thrower was designed into each model, again each bot's descression is their own in regards to the precise weapon layout, in one of six locations to ensure that the same tactic will never work twice in a row. A personal camoflauge unit renders the Z-24's impervious to all forms of optical detection, and it's padded feet and light weight structure made it difficult to catch on audio devices.

Held by the four Z-24's a metalic box, with no opening to be seen, was carried by an anti-grav unit off the shuttle. No doubt Tegral's latest toy was within that unopenable box, but guarded as it was not only by the four Z-24's another three T-2's marched off the shuttle behind the box. Such a force was formitable on it's own, but coupled with the presence of Second Commander Rookin Maheel it was definately a party to consider twice and then again before attempting upon.

Six heavily armed T-2's, four equally deadly Z-24's, and Commander Rookin made not a move to interact or speak with any of the personel on duty, lucky them. Instead they knew exactly where to go and exactly what to do with their cargo. That part was simple, guard it at all costs. Anyone so much as asks to see the contents were to be killed immediately, no exceptions.

"KB..." Sarin echoed, thinking to himself. He'd joined the service at a very young age, and though KB's little army wasn't recognised everywhere, it was a strong enough force in enough systems to be considered much more than a militia or an iron fist of some warloard. He shrugged his shoulders slightly at her answer, finding no particular draw towards the man in his own opinion. KB proved himself to be a motivational speaker at times, and surely he'd done well for himself, but he always seemed to be away doing something. "He's on the surface currently. Word has it he might be returning shortly..." He suggested, trying to offer Hashii something that might help in lifting her mood.

-----

A worker on the floor simply gawked at the units on board the shuttle, before his pal slapped him upside the head. Returning to work swiftly, his eyes lingered ont he ominous box for a moment or two. His friend nudged him, whispering quietly in an attempt to draw his attention back to work. "Man! You're gonna get us shot staring at stuff like that? What part of TOP. SECRET. Don't you understand? Geeze..."

The flower began spinning again as her hands carefully swirled it around like an upside down top, looking down her eyes fixated on the bright colors. She didn't have any mood changes, still in her blank state, for she didn't know KB well enough to be that attached to him. If he was here, then he's here, and if he was gone, then he's gone. She figured, KB is the leader of an army, of coarse he's not going to have time to socialize and get to know each individual. All she knew now was that she took orders from him, and that's it. Becoming close with someone wasn't necessary to do what they tell you, right?

"What brings you here?" Hashii may have started to seem like a clone just repeating whatever Sarin said, but she was also curious to know more about him as well.

His words were being repeated, though he took no offense to it. The conversation might've seemed one-sided, but that could simply be them screwing around with her brain. Sarin really had no idea what to expect from Hashii, though he was glad he'd managed to focus her attention with the flower. Reflecting on the stories of the dead angels in the place, his gaze drifted to the bushes, the foilage blocking his sight of the old monuement. "This..." he answered her simply, spreading his arms widely. He smiled then, his features softening. "This is what brings me here, it's beautiful isn't it?" He asked her, referring of course to the Eden he loved so much.

Glancing up to see what exactly he was referring to, Hashii tried to register what he meant by 'this'. Did I miss something? Has 'this' flown away? Is it invisible? Does he mean the air? After many attempts to figure this puzzle out, she finally realized he was talking about the Garden. She slowly started to turn and take a close look at everything, as if she just now found out she where really she was. Suddenly she twirled around to Sarin, having changed into a wonderful mood with a warm smile on her face. "It is beautiful."

Sarin smiled brightly at her warm smile, happy to have helped her further. She'd seemed a bit lost or down before, but now things had changed a bit. Things were starting to look up he imagined. Reaching up to brush his black bangs out of the right side of his face, he yawned softy. "Well then Hashii. This has been a pleasure, but I think it's about time I got some sleep. Do you think I could meet you here again sometime?" He asked, hoping his request wouldn't disturb her too much. He really needed to rest, so that he might be able to get more free time.

With a small nod, Hashii replied, "I'd like that." She held the flower in both hands and brought it up to her chest, like she might have been praying. She cocked her head to the side and smiled cutely at him.

Though she didn't know why she was acting so... was 'giddy' the right word? She just felt happy for some reason, and it was nice considering she hadn't remembered feeling like this since she became one of KBs followers. I wonder if I was always like this...

"Alright, Ciao!" he exclaimed with a bright smile and a wave, before quickly vanishing into the bushes. His footsteps hurried him from the Garden, a relaxed run just to keep the blood pumping and his head straight atop his shoulders. Soon he had reached one of the large main doors to the Garden, stepping across the path and into the hall to be quickly lost in there.

Left to the station, Sarin went off to grab a meal, a shift's sleep, and a few notes jotted into his journal.

Several large blips might appear on the Cradle's sensors before vanishing just as quickly as they had appeared. This could be construed as a malfunction or perhaps simply some random phenoma which meant nothing to the Cradle, nothing too serious given the circumstances. After all, there wasn't anyone present with the sort of presence such blips represented out here in space other than KB himself, leaving one to quickly doubt what the scanners had, if only for a moment, indicated. After all, for seven warships to have appeared out of nowhere was simply improbable...

Ridith sighed softly to himself as he sat in the single large command chair in the decently sized room, staring bored at the screens of his warship, The Alpha. He had been randomly travelling from system to system, searching for signs of intelligent life, and he had quickly become accustomed to the dissapointment he received every time he arrived at a new solar system. All in all, Ridith had grown to become pessimistic when it came to his search for the ultimate life form. However, this time a small smile graced his face as he looked out over the monitors, and at the object which had appeared on his main display. A spacestation of some kind, heavily armed and armored. Perhaps this world had some potential after all. Leaning back with a small grin on his face, he gave out the signals directly to the ship as his eyes flickered, his internal supercomputer directing his small fleet.

In the outer sections of the solar system the engines of seven large vessels lit up in unison, glowing blue in the dark depths of space. Six of the vessels shined brightly in the depths of space, their brilliant white hulls shimmering with the light from their backsides. Each vessel was about as large as a typical battlecruiser, their bodies slightly conical stretched back into flaps which curved around the engines magestically, the vessels comprised entirely of curves, leaving no rough edges for outside forces to cath on. The front of the vessels ended in a dull point, the sleek build clearly meant for high speed combat as opposed to prolonged rounds of trading firepower. However, hidden within the bodies of these sleek craft were enough turrets and weapon systems to decimate entire squadrons of battleships, having no internal crew to get in the way of the more important functions. These ships were all firepower, and it was them which moved out first in a circular pattern around the main vessel, giving it clearance.

For the Alpha stood three times the length of the other vessels, and twice as wide as well. The long sleek body stretched back to an almost boxy rear area, which contained the main command deck as well as primary engine and weapons system, with the weapons being concealed in this case as well. Also unlike the other vessels, this one's body extended forward as they did before widening towards the fround, giving a larger area in the front of the vessel than the others, shaped along the lines of a slightly deformed oval. This ship also shone a brilliant white as its thrusters hummed to life, moving forward slightly behind the others. However, the distinction between it and the other vessels was instantly clear. If it was to be considered in terms of chess pieces, the other vessels could be considered pawns, while the Alpha was the king and queen. Both the most important piece and the most powerful. Together, the contigent of ships moved in harmony towards the planet where the Cradle was orbiting, heading for possible signs of intelligent life...

Like a shaken ant hill or a battered bee hive, the Cradle rose to life quickly. What seemed to be chaos was merely people moving from place to place, quelling the sensors and alarms as orders were carried out. The small blip was more then enough to warrant investigation, especially so with proper codes not having been relayed. The patrols in that division were ordered along a different route, one that intersected with the point.

Those five drones likely wouldn't be coming back.

In the station itself, red lights gently blinked as a vaguely feminine voice came over the comms. It sounded much like a mixture of voices, though it had settled on a calm, non-chalant tone, as if it were ignorant as to the true meaning of its words. "All active units to their stations. Priority A-3, this is not a drill, repeat, this is not a drill." The voice would continue to relay this message every few moments.

In the Garden, large doors were sliding closed to entrap those within. There would be about two minutes for the people within the Garden to leave it and try to find an active post, otherwise they'd have to wait there until the battle was over. Given that the priority list gave the A,B, and C categories high ratings of tactical assault, it was likely most of them were vacating the area.

The blast covers atop Eden were similarly closing, slowly but surely blocking out the light of the sun and the stars. It would not be long before the teeth of the first blast door hooked into each other, and that the Garden would be submerged into complete and utter darkness.

-----

Haziel and Telleniel seemed to already be ready to fly, even as the drones were still whirring to life. Haziel wing's captain chuckled to herself darkly, ripples of zealous devotion twisted by the faint sound of digital recreation.

Other ships in the ports were rousing, though the number of docked ships capable of matching such a threat were few. It would be a waste to send them all to their doom, especially when Tegral's special friends were still looming in the void.

They had came preciesly at the time of Tegral's delivery, a rather horrible coincidence.

-----

The main wing batteries stirred to life with a vengeance, otherwise immobile weapons slowly spinning about on their turret. Station-sized weaponry to combat forces such as those on their way, the massive duel-barrel cannons seemed to dwarf some of the small vessels nestled in the Cradle's wings. Firing would require substantial power, though the excess kept the small vessels from lingering directly near the barrels.

Dozens of 400mm rail guns also stirred to life on the station, though they might've been of little consequence.

EDIT:

The comms division relayed orders within the Cradle, even as the military division went to work. R&D got secure, sealing the Plague with extreme vengeance. Not entirely optimistic, the comms team sent a simple message along all outside channels. "Unidentified vessel, you have entered restricted space. Please stand down and identify yourself. Further advance will be considered an active threat and met with lethal force." The message would continue, hoping to get to someone who might understand the firm voice of the young man.

He spoke english, everyone in space does.

Ridith would whistle softly at the impressive sight before him as the space station came to life before him, countless weapons and small vessels coming up to face in his general direction, preparing to face down the threat he represented. He had to admit to a certain level of being impressed, not having expected such an organized level of preperation against the relatively little presence he had displayed. Most up to this point hadn't even noticed him until he was right on top of them, waiting to be obliterated. However, these ones might be worth paying attention to, if nothing else.

Ridith blinked as he noted an incoming comm message in the back of his mind, apparently directed towards him. It took him several moments, scanning through his library of knowledge, before he finally uncovered the language in use in his database, having fortunately been part of one of his previous conquest's database. He blinked as he listened to the message, thinking it over before smiling to himself. Why not? Small blue flares emerged on his vessels' bows, slowing the ships before coming to a drifting stop, though the engines remained on standby. As the ship drifted there, he manually hit several buttons and opened up his own comm channel, sending a mutliband signal back at the station. He spoke clearly and calmly as he sat there, lounging in his command chair with apparent boredom. "Unidentified space station, this is the command vessel of the Ignarii fleet speaking. We have cut our engines and stopped our advance as per your request. Please respond with your own designation. Alpha out." he said, before hitting the cut off switch on the comm unit. Now he waited patiently for the response, hoping for someone intelligent to speak to....

The message was recieved with high anticipation, though the acting staff remained calm and collected. The young officer working the current communications could very well tilt the balance. thankfully, he had the pleasure of simply relaying the words of the command staff behind him. They dared not to speak themselves, for they'd already sent word for Rookin to get his shiny a** up to main control.

"Ignarii vessel Alpha, this is The Cradle speaking. Please state your reason for infringing on our space..." Back and forth like a tennis match, the comms officer had shortened his message considerably. Though even as they spoke preperations were still being made, as people were a bit edgy on the station regarding outside influence.

-----

"I told you you're gonna get us shot!!!" A man yelled, slapping his friend upside the head. His friend was pushing a heavy crate along the bay floor hurriedly, running next to his gentle pal, who was only carrying a datapad.

"It's not MY fault!!!"

"Yes it is!"

Smack.

"Argh! Stop that!"

Smack, again.

"Why do you keep hurting me..."

"You deserve it. Now go load that fighter." The cocky, a*****e of a pal winked and smirked before shoving his crate-pushing friend off, marking a box on the datapad in hand.

Ridith sighed softly. All of this, "our space" and "restricted area" crap was beginning to annoy him. Just how the hell much arrogance did you need to have to claim an entirely empty area for yourself simply because you had a space station? However, he restrained himself and responded once more, in a calm tone, "This is Alpha. We are merely a wandering fleet, who is searching for a certain something. This area is merely one of many thousands of stops we have made over the past millenia. We have no real desire to 'infringe', as you say, however we do wish to explore this area more thoroughly. Is there any particular reason as to why this space is restricted?" he asked the last part with a slight bit of curiosity, letting his thoughts get the better of him, if only for an instant.

He clicked off the comm switch but paused as he looked over his sensors, noticing several vessels, apparently drones, closing in on his position slowly. He stared at the displays for a moment before clicking the comm back on again briefly. "Please inform your vessels that if they get any closer to us, we will blow them out of the sky. We stopped per your resquest, we request you do the same." Clicking the comm switch off more finally this time he hit several buttons, and watched as his computers locked on to all of the targets within range, which was a considerable distance.....
PostPosted: Tue Jan 30, 2007 2:34 pm

The drones had reached the distance they planned to, coming to a stop with a soft thrum of their thrusters. Optical scanning fell over the vessels, the curious nature of the Hive getting the better of it. The psuedo AI was always prone to meeting new things, enjoying watching them before the unfortunate order to attack arrived.

And so the five waited patiently, chirping anf beeping to each other on occasion.

The staff regarded his message as a bit odd, but then again with KB running things they were used to a certain amount of millenium old stories and whatnot. They wondered idly if this person was similar, though they made no attempts to see his form. "Several powerful entities occupy this area, it is therefore considered contested territory. Please forgive our defensive nature, it is merely protocol." The voice responded, the officer personally taking a liking to the seven ships. Not that his opinion meant much in the grand scope of things.

Hashii was just admiring the beauty of the Garden in her unusually happy state, when the the large doors were beginning to close. She immediately snapped back to her blank self and looked around a bit confused. Once again her wings spread out as she leaped into the air, heading towards the exit where Sarin had previously gone. Stepping out just in time before the room sealed itself shut for the time being, she looked about for someone to report to and find out just what was going on.

Hashii didn't realize how strange she may have looked, wandering around the station still holding the pretty little flower. She wasn't the best at this kind of stuff.
