XxcoldrealityXx Hakutobi Matsumoto Aw, thanks Cold Reality!
Seraphyn and Viiictoria: D: Guys, it's kind of silly to fight about it. I think it's a personal prefrence for how casual you want to go, but then it might not be really Lolita anymore, just Victorian-esque.
For Example, you could wear:
Lolita Shoes Hoodie [Similar to the one viiictoria has on..?] Headress if sorts And a skirt without a petticoat and still look Casual Loli.
Of course, that example was a part of my personal preference. =/
By the way, that hoodie of yours viiictoria, is cute. I wish I had one in black. D: here ya go. http://community.livejournal.com/egl/4904975.html#cutid1 bloomers are actually very easy to make and can make a big difference when wearing a loli outfit =3 and yes victoria i do love that hoodie you have and im in lust with that skirt =3 did you make it or buy it? Great thanks for finding that! Mind if I post that link in the original post? Ahh thank you! (you're really sweet crying ) My hoodie it Novala's Pour Lolita by Baby the Stars Shine Bright and my skirt is Angelic Pretty. smile

Wow~! Thanks, coldreality! That is a simple looking tutorial. I will so try it! But not with my pretty fabric first, probably some plain white cotton. And then maybe a black pair, too. sweatdrop Is it possible to become a bloomer addict? I really hope not. XD
>.> Hm. Socks. Knee highs eith the lace on them are so cute, but how do you get the lace on without making it so you can't fit it on? Don't you stretch it really tight and sew it on? I can't remember.

Since there was so much talk about petticoats before...
Built-in tulle petticoats: good idea or asking for trouble right off the bat?

A few of my BTSSB and AP skirts have built ins and I love them! They make life a lot easier too.

Hm. I'm not sure if that would be good. I think it depends on the wearer and if he/she is comfortable with it. I would find it uncomfortable. It'd be hard to hang up, too, in my opinion. I like to keep my petticoats seperate from my skirts. ^--^;

That's what I've heard. Though, I'm afraid to do in fear I'll ruin my socks in the process. I think I'll get a cheap pair and cheap lace to test it out. =/
I saw it in a bible scan that they used a large bottle and hand stitched it on. I think machine stitch would work better.

A few of my BTSSB and AP skirts have built ins and I love them! They make life a lot easier too. My Meta skirt has a built in petticoat. But I think it's more of to keep the lace rigid and not so see through. It gives it poof though as well, but for more poof I have to wear a petti under it (I do not for school though). So does my Body Line (it's one of the good Body Line pieces) skirt. My other skirts do not. And look horrible without petticoats because they fold in and just look funky (so I never wear them for casual loli). Dx

Unfortunately about that, my mom is rather hesitant about buying over seas, and then she'll be all 'They're just socks!' D: If I was two years older, I could get a job and buy them myself. I'd kill for some meta clothing. Even if it was just a pair of socks. >w<
So, I suppose I'll just make my own, unless I can convince her otherwise. [We're tight for money due to a divorce. =/ ]

Keep in mind thought for all the money you're putting into a cheap practice pair and then the real ones, brand socks are only like $20... Not to argue ('cause I'd personally love to own a pair of brand socks too), but it wouldn't neseccarily (I need to learn how to spell that word, like seriously) ruin her socks. If she makes a mistakes she can just rip it off with a sem ripper and it the socks should be perfectly fine. And a pair of good knee high socks is only about $5-$9 depending on where you buy them. And lace and ribbon is...well...depending on where you get it and what type you get it it varies (so one could end up spending more than$20)... And if she wants cheap socks to practice on first...The Dollar Store/Dollar General/Family has packs of 4 pairs of socks or more for $1-$3. xD And Wal-Mart does too. And she could use cheap lace to practice with too. 'Cause if one's tight on cash, well...Buying one pair of Socks for $20 plus $30 shipping is probably not the way to go. Dx

Dx Yes. =/ Besides, I wanted to save up money for a pair of true lolita shoes. And I can't chose between white or pink. [I have a pair of black mary janes already. xD Thrift Store find, once again and they are beautiful.]
But, I'm careful on money, so I think I could make a nice, and rather pretty pair for under 20$. But definitely a test pair first. Wal-Mart is the way to go. xD

XxcoldrealityXx my moms the same way! she NEVER orders overseas..ever I know! My dad is even worse! He hates me and my little 'Japan obsession'. I haven't even mentioned Lolita around him. D: I kind of did once and he was like 'Why? Do you want to be stuck in a glass box or something?' I said something about bloomers to my mom and then porceline dolls and he somehow got that message.. o.o Strange, really.
