I think five of the Jack items don't work, with the three that do work being the shirt, jacket and gloves. I've not actually tested any of the non-working items except Jack's Disgust, but I've not seen anyone wearing any of the items other than the three I've listed either.

I am so insanely pissed off about this event.
I worked 11-7 yesterday and 3-9 today, EST. I was only home for -one- spurt of trick or treating, which was last night, when it was insanely glitchy and down half the time. By the time I got home from work, Gambino's mansion was half an hour from blowing up, so I didn't even have a chance to get any of the shirts or labtech coats.
*sigh*
I'm so upset. They did -not- make this event fair for people in all time zones. I'm going to be tired as hell at work tomorrow because I want to stay up and at least get some of the Jack items, if I can't have the G-Corp and Labtech stuff.
*sigh*

The shirt works, improperly though. At least I think it's wrong because it shows a G Corp logo. @.@

Gonna have to agree with you about the event not being fair, Traj. They should have made it night all day long and come up with a story to explain why, as well as doing the zombie thing.
It's not very fair to let your ability to get items be based on a 5-6 timeframe twice a day, as I seriously doubt most of Gaia's users are lazy unemployed bums like me who can be on for 18+ hours non stop. Thankfully even if I wasn't a LUB Gaia's nights are 5am-10am/5pm-10pm for those of us in the UK, which gives us a chance to get items even if we have school or work until 6pm. It's a shame the same isn't true for a lot of Gaia's population.
Gaia's creators need to be very careful about making events that favor a certain timeframe, especially if they ever plan to charge for some of the features or (*gulp*) the entire site once it's out of alpha/beta. If they aren't they'll certainly be missing out on a lot of potentional customers/members/ad revenue as people tend to not like being part of something if they aren't able to have the "special" items or be part of the events that everyone else can.

I'm going to be tired as hell at work tomorrow because I want to stay up and at least get some of the Jack items, if I can't have the G-Corp and Labtech stuff. *sigh* stressed I am very pissed about it too. I was gone for large portions of the day, first to go vote for that crappy early voting thing, which was a waste of time, as the lines were so long it would take a whole day to get to the front. It was awful, lines out the door and down the street in some places. So now on Tuesday I will have to get up early and walk or ride my bike to the place to vote, since I have no car, and hope that the line is not insane. So then I get back, but I'm only back for about ten minutes, before I have to leave to go to my friend's house. When I get home, Gambino's mansion had already exploded. I still don't quite even know what the story behind that was, as I wasn't there. I played the zombie game a bit yesterday, but did not bit or shoot enough people for it to matter. I wish they would have made this a weeklong event, especially being that most people do things on Halloween, rather than stare at a computer all day. It's a really dumb day for them to do these things on. People have lives... So now I'm running around trying to get all the Jacked items for myself and for Kaz, since he's going to trade me a human lab coat for them. He too was gone a lot of the time today, and wasn't able to get the Jacked items. As for the other items from the game, I guess I will have to save up and buy them. Which really sucks because now it will take me forever to get the things on my wishlist. I am very unhappy with Gaia.

I don't think the admins gave a damn that some people couldn't participate because of time problems. In a reply by Noraboo to a thread titled 'WORST. EVENT. EVER.' which I can't find, I remember her saying 'Boo-hoo' (among other things, including locking the thread) about people complaining about not being able to participate. Given, the thread had a lot of anger in it, but if that's how they feel about Gaians who don't like everything they do, that's a load of bullshit. They should listen to the angry people so they won't be angry anymore, not say they deserve the big shaft; that will just piss them off more, like it did for me. Hell, I had to keep myself from giving "Ms. Noraboo-hoo" a big god damn piece of my mind via PM for awhile after reading that stressed
Myself, I had no real problems with time...I just stayed up to get what I needed in terms of the candy event (I've gotten all Jack items but the Shoes and Jack's Joy). It was the Zombie game that really pissed me off. I feel for the people that had the time issues, though...hopefully Halloween is extended into the next night period so people will at least get one more chance at this without the horrible lag the Zombie game was creating scream

I've noticed that a lot of the mods aren't exactly great with words. If I were running this site I'd ask my mods/admins NOT to reply to threads which deal with events/major site problems, especially if they are just going to be assholes and don't know what the hell is going on themselves.
Again.. hopefully once we have a lot more features and thus more users Lanzer will care about how the users of his site feel a bit more and do something about the PR-ish issues. Nobody is going to donate/pay for features if they are just going to be mocked when they complain/criticize.

They *are* people, and all people will get angry from time to time, and therefore say things that might not be in the best of taste. However, when you're part of the 'staff' of something, you have to grin and bear it sometimes. Unless they're unreasonable morons, the people who are angry and complaining have good reasons for being that way, reasons which should be addressed.

It was the lag that did me in more than anything... sweatdrop
I only have two 'VJU' items to go, the boots and gloves...I didn't get any of the LabTech stuff, because I got sick of being shot at every five seconds, and not being able to do anything because of serious slowdown.
Personally though, I enjoyed the whole 'leading up to' the Zombie event. I found it rather amusing.
Correct me if I'm wrong, though. Were the Moderators the LabTechs? 'Cause if they were, they need to work on their RolePlaying skills...I mean, damn... xd ;;;;

If the admins/blah are decent and realize that while their intentions were good they kinda messed up with the lag/downtime/120+mins to get 100 bites/shots/bias towards those in good timezones thing they hopefully will. If they're like the "boo hoo" person then I seriously doubt it.
Personally I don't care as I managed to get all the items (yay 8 hours of my life wasted) last night/early this morning. I could keep collecting to get items to sell/give away, but personally I can't be bothered.
