I've had a few Bowie dreams, but the most recent one was quite.. deranged? Most of the dream didn't include it. I was in a mall with a walky-talky on my ear and I'm all like 'PSHHHHHHHH.. Mr Nintendo is IN THE BUILDING.' and Bowie's like 'Natasha, SHADDUP!' And I pout, and I won't go near Hot Topic cause Kendall [my ex-boyfriend] is in it. Then Bowie screams 'ABORT, ABORT!!!' and I jump into Dillards and Hot Topic explodes.

Um..

LOL that's great.

I can say I have never had any dreams about David Bowie.

Not to steer the topic away from what it's on, but does anyone else think that Bowie doing a character's voice for Spongebob is really funny? Like he just woke up one day and went, "...I haven't done the voice for a cartoon character before. What the hell!" And it's not like you can just say no to David Bowie.

He's playing an animated character in a movie coming out. The uber-hott bad guy, none the less. wink (Actualy he's pretty hideous... xd )

They probably asked him to do it. Because Bowie is so awesome he would appeal to the parents of the children. Getting them to sell more merchandise.

Those crafty devils!

Actually, David Bowie, and his Daughter LOVE Spongebob, and I think Mr. Bowie was begging for a part in that. So. There you go.

Oh well.. That was probably it. But I doubt he -begged- for the part. He is David Bowie! He has no need to beg.

Yeah... That's true.

Arthur and the Invisibles actually really sucked.. but it was sorta really freaking hilarious if I could find the stupid quotes to it. I noticed that Malthazar had like.. different colored eyes and I thought that was pretty awesome.

It was rated PG for 'suggestive' material... cause Bowie and Madonna have a little talk about why Bowie's... demented looking.

Uugggg.. quotes!! D<

Show me a love that I may have forever...

Did anyone that saw Arthur and the Minimoys notice they had a vauge reference to "The Man Who Fell to Earth"?

I was sitting in the theater and when Maltazar was saying that he had to go for water to save everyone I thought "OMG! Did I just hear what I thought I did?"

Does anyone else think that Maltazar was a reference to David Bowie's character in TMWFTE? Or do you think that was an accident?

And Yes, I did notice the multicolored eyes. So few shots of them, but I saw them. biggrin

...and I'll give you my heart, so we'll be together.

It was soo hilarious.. I just can't remembe exactly WHAT was so funny.. DDD:

&&Edit: I swear to Bowie that I drew a dragon before I even knew about Arthur and the Invisibles and I was all 'What should I name it?' and I was getting ideas like Anya and I was like 'Heeeelllz no.' And I've always liked the name Balthaza, so I named it Malthazar. It's even dated, yes DATED, September 2006. OOOO: I'm a prophet of our dear lord. (:

UPDATE BY: xx____Riku

01.22.2007 NEWS: HIGHLINE FESTIVAL UPDATE

Due to ongoing work on a new project, David Bowie has announced that it will not be possible for him to perform at the Highline Festival in May. He will however continue to curate the event alongside Highline producers David Binder and Josh Wood.

Further announcements relating to the festival line up will be made shortly.

Total Blam Blam - (BowieNet News Editor)

---

He was supposed to be coming out with a CD in 2005-2006, but I guess with all his actings and such it's been delayed... TOUR!? :OOOOOOOO

...I thought this would need its own thread. (;

If this is in the wrong section just move it. Please don't have a cow. (:

---

EDART!: OMGOMGOMG!!! At the end of one of the Simpson's Halloween episodes there's a sign that says Erotic Cakes. No joke! OMG! XDDD

UPDATE BY: Agent Glitter

Just when people were really beginning to worry about David Bowie, he returns! In
case you haven't been following, he hasn't made an appearance anywhere in
several months, which is very strange and has had many of the fans worrying -
especially with the January canceling of his performance at the Highline Festival.

He has reviewed a new batch of music at Nokia's MusicRecommender site (which I
cannot access, as they are nazis who won't let you even see the page if you
are on a Mac*). Anyone who wants to post screenshots is welcome to!

More importantly, however, is that the German Amazon site (amazon.de) has
listed a new David Bowie album, set to release this year. Whether this is because they
know something we don't, or in response to Mojo Magazine's rumors that
'something is afoot', I don't know. However, a new album would fit with his reason
for cancelling his performance at the Highline due to a project.

Of course, this album could just be a rerelease, or another Best-Of, or could be
scrapped entirely, but... it's still all very exciting! This is the biggest news we've
had from him in a while, and I'm happy to finally hear something from him again.
I had been trying to ignore the rumors, but I still hate the thought that he might
have been sick. ):

* I should like to see how DB posts his reviews on the site, as he is an Apple
user himself. Why, yes, I
am brimming with righteous indignation, can how you tell?

"Could it be a tour?!?!?!?"

I just saw this on the website. Don't flame me for saying this is dumb if you think it is, but based on the circled text, it could be a hint to a possible David Bowie tour, considering how he did do a concert in New York recently. Notice it says it is a very generous prize.

Generous prize? What does that have to do with a tour? Sorry.. I can't make the connection.
