Hello, I'm floxinotic and I first heard of The Cure when I was in 7th grade thanks to an odd young man named Daniel. I fell in love with Bloodflowers and then again with Pornography. I've seen them once during Curiosa and that was the BEST.
Right now I'm listening to A Chain of Flowers and as I was writing this it changed to Snow in Summer.
The Cure means a lot to me because it's a band that has a song for whatever you are feeling and always helps to calm me down.

Hello, my name is Andrew and I am a newer fan of the Cure - and music for that matter. Yes that's right, I didn't listen to or like music much until recently. This summer, as school was ending, I was reading through some articles to educate myself more on different bands that I might like - The Cure being one of them.
What I realized about the Cure was that their style matched me and mixed a lot of great things about music that make it good - as floxi said they have different styles for different songs that affect different moods. As I read up more and listened more, I was able to really compare myself to the band and found that it fit in perfectly with who I was - and it instantly became my favorite band.
I like some other bands too - lots of 80s rock like Poison and Guns & Roses, British music like Depeche Mode & the Pet Shop Boys, and other 80's bands like INXS and Billy Idol. I guess I like lots of variety from wondery music to gothic music to classic rock.
Nyatta told me about the forum, so I happily joined - and someday I hope to have my own guild dedicated to a bunch of stuff. And yes, you guys are kinda off topic and no, it doesn't matter too much lol. Oh yeah, I'm talking too much, so i will end it here.

Hee. I guess I should have started here.
I'm Numi -waves to all-
I have been listening to the Cure, well. for a very long time now, about 18 years. I have a large collection of Cure LPs, my most prized of these is the Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me LP with orange vinyl. I have seen them in concert every tour since The Kissing Tour and attended 20 concerts all together, and met the band during the Swing Tour, which was quite thrilling. They are a great bunch of guys.
Currently my most listened to song is Before Three.
Current favorite album: Disintegration
(The above change frequently)
Overall favorite song: Just Like Heaven
Overall favortie album: Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me
