wow it's been a LONG time, but i was bored at work and thought i would toss in my 2 cents 3nodding
Storyline
150 After The battle of Yavin....
The Galaxy is still in unrest, a former Genral of the imperials has left their army to become a hired gun. Whispers have come to light that he has started his own training area for bounty hunters, that will work for him, rumors have even been heard that his trained men can kill jedi but this has not been proven. Rumor or not the Jedi have been unable to learn anything about him or where he is hiding.
However he is only a small part of the conflict that is growing. The Galaxy is on the brink of war, the republic and the rebuilding Imperial feet are on the edge of war and the slightest spark could set it off. The Imperial Fleet continoues to gain support from the outer rim worlds that feel the republic is taking advanage of them and thus have taken up arms to fight for though they think should watch over the galaxy. Meanwhile the Jedi, Guardians of Peace and Justice are hard pressed to continoue their job. Small battles continoue to break out in worlds where some wish to stay with the republic and the other with the Imperials.
Though these problems are not enough more rumors have come to light of force users who are not Jedi or sith but something altogeather. If this is true, who are they and what is their goal, but most importantly for the jedi who is teaching them...................
What your Character can be
~Jedi (Republic, Being the side of light)
~Sith (Part of the Imperial Fleet)
~Bounty Hunter (works for the former genral)
~Other (Must ask a mod first)
How it will work
~Someone (Most likly a mod) will be incharge of each area. Example: The lead jedi master, or just council would give out the missions to the other jedi. Like the Sith Lord would give out missions, or who ever the dark lord wants to give his sith missions. That way everyone would know whats going on and there would be some order to it.
Comments/Problems
Problem: This would mean for some part the mods would have to do alot of work....or pick someone to do alot of work. Basicly it reminds me of when i started here, MrM having a jedi master who was really a gray jedi trying to get us to dought the jedi all through our training, it was a good story blaugh .
Comment: If gray jedi are wanted now that can be made (even though i know how much seffi hates them blaugh ). Best of all its not something you can just be its something you have to become as you roleplay. This is just a simple outline of an idea, it's basicly like Episode 2 where we are on the brink of war and soon could fall right into it, because drama = good roleplay.
Oh and before i forget... Seffi...BOO ^_^

Ok, Since Seffi is picky here is Idea #2
Time Line:
3800 Years Before the Battle of Yavin: 200 years after KoToR #2
Storyline:
Almost 200 years have passed since The exiled jedi returned to known space. Little records of the jedi are known, all that is known for fact is Reven, a former sith lord has left the republic after he almost caused it's destruction. And the one exiled Jedi who had fallowed him to war, she has also left to fallow him into the darkness of space. The Republic still stands, but only just.
The few force users the Exile trained formed the new Jedi Order and began to rebuild. However with so few jedi more time was spend rebuilding their own order instead of helping the republic and now the republic needs help more then ever. Though Telos and many other worlds have been rebuilt many more still need help. The scars of those battles can still be seen, and the cities rebuilt the people still suffer from the war.
To make maters worse rumors have come to the jedi that the sith fleet is being rebuilt, and a new sith lord and come to light. These rumors have also made their way to the republic who is now asking for the jedi to stop these sith before another war is started, even though it goes against the jedi code. Will the few next generation jedi be enough to keep the galaxy from war, or will history repeat itself......
What your Character can be:
~Jedi
~Sith
~Soldier (republic/sith)
How it will work

I don't have a whole rp idea but i have a little something that could go along with one...
Mission Idea:
There is a civil war between the 2 races, The Ssi-Ruuks and The P'w'ecks, on the hot jungle planet of Lwhekk. The Republic(don't ask me why they even care about these dinosuar things) have sent there army to help the Ssi-Ruuks fight this war. Two jedi generals and there padawans have been sent along to this planet.
Pretty much its just a mission inside the rp. The mission is to not completely destroy either race but to bring them to peace between each other.
Lol lame I know. But i said hell why not throw it out there.

Timeline:
1,000 Years After Destruction of Death Star
Storyline:
Myths, thats all the jedi are now. The Haxo Fleet has been controling the galaxy for the last 100 years, when the old republic fell. Little is truly known at this time about what completely happend, but all that is known for sure is the republic was betrayed by one of their own. A Jedi, turned and joined the Haxo army when the republic went to war. The Jedi traitor sabotaged the republic fleet and thus caused the republic to lose the war. Today jedi are nothing but myths are tales of heroic magic warrios that help the people. It is believed all the jedi are gone, but this has not been proven.
The SoToR (we can change names if we want) the Survivors of The Old Republic, have gathered their forces to try to defeat the Haxo army and bring peace to the galaxy. For the last 100 years the jedi have thought to be gone, untill now. One 300 year old jedi, the last of the jedi will now have to teach the next generation of jedi to help lead the Sotor to victory, and free the galaxy.......
After it begins:
After the story begins he will "meet" with a few people he feels are to be the new jedi, and starts to train them. However just as the training begins he is killed by the Dark Lords Apprentice (the apprentice of the traitor jedi, who would have guessed). Now these jedi must learn to train themselfs as well as others they feel can become jedi.
When the apprentice learned that a jedi had lived it is unsure if more jedi are alive, thus his master orders his appentice to start training Dark Jedi to combat the unknown numbers of jedi....
How it will work
Your character is everything and nothing. You can't just say "I'll be a jedi" or "i'll be a dark jedi" you have to work to get there. It makes it more real because not everything just comes to you. Basicly you will have to work to try to join the sotor army, or the haxo and try to use that to become a jedi or dark jedi.
Thus people will have to build their characters BEFORE they become what they start down their characters life. Makes it more real, and more fun ^_^

Basicly this is a more complete version of the last post i made. Since no one else is posting I have spent more time thinking about ho this idea could be made full circle so it will work for our roleplay.
Timeline:
1,000 Years After Destruction of Death Star
Reason: This way, as always no one can be someone from the movies, also as shown below the Jedi are nothing but a myth and as such NO ONE even knows about the jedi stories.
Storyline:
Myths, thats all the jedi are now. The Haxo Fleet has been controling the galaxy for the last 100 years, when the old republic fell. The Haxo are memers of the remaining imperial fleet, now joined by more planets on the outer rim they had more then enough power to star a war with the republic. A Jedi Master, unsure about the beliefs of the jedi found the power of the dark side. Without the republic or the jedi knowing he started giving information to the Haxo fleet, Haxo in the end helped the Haxo Fleet take over coursant itself. The Jedi soon gained control of the Haxo fleet, and with his new Stormtroopers (named after the Old Empires soldiers) kill all the jedi, however he left one small boy who was to be his apprentice. So it has been for the Last 100 years only 2 sith in control of the Haxo fleet.
The Survivors of the Old Republic, also known as Sotor has began to fight back against the Haxo. This small bad of freedom fighters are the only ones left that are willing to stand up to the Haxo, and thus the only known hope for the galaxy. However, unknown to the Jedi traitor, one jedi did survivor the invation of coursant and still lives to this day. This "last of the jedi" waits, waiting for the force to show him what he must do to one day help bring the glaxy back into balance.
After it begins:
As the story begins a number of people ((the first soon-to-be jedi) Also people who don't want to be jedi can be there) will arrive in a bar of some sort. Our old Jedi sense a something in the force, what he does not know is it is these force sencitive people that have come from all over, for one reason or another. A small force of Haxo will raid the building believing it is an SOTOR recruiting area. Wanting nothing to do with the Haxo everyone in the bar flees, so do the soon-to-be Jedi. However the only person found by the old man is a number of stormtroopers. However before the old Jedi could even attack the young ones kill or get rid of the storm troopers(at least one gets away).
The old Jedi takes the young ones to his house/cabin/ hut whatever it is, depending on the planet this happends on. Their he tells the truth story of the jedi, which everyone thought wa nothing more then myths and stories for children. Now faced with the chance that they could help face the galaxy the young ones must choose.
Meanwhile the one trooper that lived told of the old man and as it was reported the apprentice to the dark lord, Darth [Name here] he knew this might be a living jedi. Though the main public thinks the jedi are myths, the Sith know better and will not risk the return of the jedi. Darth [Name here] comes to the planet and finds the old jedi's home, after a short duel the old jedi is dead and the would-be padawan are now on their own.
Not wanting to risk the return of the jedi the Dark Lord of the Sith orders that a few force sensitives be trained so they will be ready for the jedi, if any more do live.
Your Character
Now in this Roleplay your character is not just something you take a few days building, its someone to take a lifetime building. Remember just like a real person event on their life affect who they are, thus you must build that. No one start out as a jedi or a sith, just as a person, with a job or homeless whatever. And from their your story begins much like a real RPG for you gamers out there ^_^.
This is a replay where to earn your place, you are not given it. To become a jedi or sith you must PROVE both in your character, and you that you will not abuse the powers of the jedi or sith.

Ok lets go, If you wont post ideas of your own at least post comments about mine other other ideas people have. This is the ONLY way we can have our Roleplay back 3nodding

Ok, I'll post some input then.
I don't like the one surviving jedi. It maks it so there are "heros" and they would make the others unhappy. Also if he dies early in the training of the others i means it would be a long time before they could take on padawans. Nother idea is to instead of it being one jedi, theres like a small underground jedi being trained. Say only 2-3 master but they are going to more jedi to try to bring the galaxy back to what it was.

TimeLine: 647 years A.B.Y (After Battle of Yavin)
-Like Guilyn's idea this would ultimately cancel out any "known" characters in the SW galaxy, also make ships, and technology back then outdated.
/283 ABY/ New Republic becomes a Monarchy, after several debates and meetings the outcome is accepted by all except the Jedi.
/328 ABY/ After 45 years of peace through the Monarch decision several more planets defect to fall under rule of the New Republic.
/367 ABY/ After 2 Lordships from the same family, The Monarchy is now set as BloodLine Rule, Only those of the Family (the first son) may be Lord. Many accept though several disputes against the chage, fearful of a new Empire, including the Jedi.
/439 ABY/ Mysteriously the "Family of the Republic" all die in a space "accident" A scramble for the Monarchy begins, as the once peaceful Republic break into a civil war. The Jedi successfully control the situation through neccessary force. An old Senate member whose family long dedicated to the Republic, is voted Monarch. The outcome view by many as bad blame the jedi.
/483 ABY/ Many incidents occur tainting the Jedi's reputation, the Monarch knowing his days are numbered issue his final command before passing, A Large Army is to be created to "protect' the republic, greeted with thunderous applause and approval the Old Man dies a hero.
/519 ABY/ The Old mans son Jerod Relling rules the Republic with an iron will to build the Republic Army, almost complete, The Jedi become less useful and are further shown as an annoyance than a guardian.
/567 ABY/ After 84 years of Service Jerod Relling dies of old age, his son Kale Relling takes the throne, unknown to all even the Old man, his son, and grandson were clones put in place of his "real" sons, taught to hate the jedi in secret, each succesor slowly demolished the great order. The plan started over 120 years finaly was about to be finished.
/612 ABY/ Kale Relling finishing the army calls a Senate meeting, showing his grand army to all, he proposes the disbandment and exile of the Jedi from the Coruscant and the republic, Knowing of the meeting prior to beggining, the jedi move in to stop the tyrancy of the mad ruler, Entering the Senate in force, the Jedi finish the image the King constructed, the Senate voted unanimously for the exile of the Jedi. Knowing the damage and danger, The Jedi sacrificed themselves as they atemtped to sieze the throne and end the rulers reign. The huge battle that followed stained the walls with the Jedi's blood. The Grand Army was unstoppable, being trained in the defense against Jedi were only reduced to a few hundred, while the jedi yet agian were on the brink of extinction.
/623 ABY/ Rogue Jedi assasinate Kale, hoping this would end the reign of tyrancy, only to come upon the relization of the clones and thier death as the army "valiantly" killed

ok, this is what i suggest (not that anyone will listen)
First: as always you have the Jedi/Sith Conflict.
Second: You have to have the Senate as an important part of the RP. Not only was the galaxy forever influenced by powerful members of the Senate, but it played a key role in the restructure of the New Republic.
Third: I suggest around 250 ABY, good time, no known war all main chars from the movie/books are dead.
Fourth: You have to have a war, people love fights, thats what made star wars popular in the first place.
Fifth: To make ship classification simple have it that Kuat Drive Yards bought Seinar and all the other companies so its the only ship manufacturer.
Sixth: heres my sample storyline....
250 years after the Battle of Yavin, the New Republic is a powerful force, but unrest is growing in the Outer Rim. Corrupt Senators take bribes from powerful crimelords to have them overlook pirates in the Rim...
Nine years ago a trio of hyperspace travellers were yanked out of hyperspace on an unknown planet by an interdictor. they were tractor beamed aboard to find the ship run by pirates. While listening to the guards talk from outside there cell they heard the guards talk about preparations for a plan to overthrow the government. After escaping and jumping back to Coruscant and appealed to the Senate who immediately dismissed the idea. Now reports have been made of ships jumping to an unknown star system. The number of ships was recorded by the NRI, or New Republic Intelligence at well over one thousand carriers, two hundred thousand starfighters, four hundred Cruisers, and eighty Golan VII defense platforms, three times the ship in the New Republic Navy. Little did the people of the Galaxy know they were about to be threatened by something far worse than the Empire...

The Sith will be on the side of the Pirates and are ultimately in control. but there still in the shadows.

I like what Xavv is trying to do, yes the senate should be a big part of the RP. However no one ever wants to RP those parts, due to the fact that there is so little/no fighting.
Your ideas for what the RP should have is good. Only thing is your storyline itself is a little weak. The question is why are these crimelords working togeather to take over the republic? Everything has to have a reason, no matter how big or small.
I agree with you something needs to attack or have already attacked the republic. Also i like the idea for shipps that might have to be put into any RP storyline we pick gj ^_^

There's actually one specific point of what you posted, Xavv, that's I'd like the develop a bit more on (not that the rest wasn't good). The idea of Kuat and the ships.
What would people think if a thread was made, similar to that of the Force System, which made a very detailed and accurate list of ships that could be used in the RP? The list would also be strictly enforced.

Guilyn I like what Xavv is trying to do, yes the senate should be a big part of the RP. However no one ever wants to RP those parts, due to the fact that there is so little/no fighting.
