This mistake was in the first season of the new Doctor Who.The episode was the End of the World.Cassandra says ''That's where I lived when I was a little boy." Isn't Cassandra a girl?

I think that was an intentional joke....reference to yet MORE surgeries.

And the bit where Rose calls her Micheal Jackson...
