I only liked Houlihan in the later seasons, when she became more independent.

I love them all, I don't think there is one I really dislike.

General Douglass MacArthur. The people of the 4077th M*A*S*H worked their hardest to get ready for his visit, and he just road past them in his jeep without stopping.

Oh, well, I'm not real fond of the real Gen. MacArthur.

The one that I really couldn't stand was that congressman's aide that accused Margaret of being a communist...What was that jackass' name...?

The one that I disliked the most was Ferret Face. He got a bit whiny and he was basically a push over at times. He reminded me of my exboyfriend some.

YAY! We're back to Ferret-Face Flaming! biggrin

NOOOOO. ; ; NO FERRET-FACE FLAMING. *wraps him in fireproof plastic and hides him under her bed* Besides, as cute as Trapper may be, I'd love to smack him with something. Some of his fangirls, too. >__> Have you SEEN the kind of Trapper fangirls I'm talking about? OMG I HATE BJ BCUZ HE REPLAECD MY TRAPPER OMG NOES ; ; *shudder* oh god kill me. You don't see me hating Winchester just because he replaced Frank. ; ;

Oh yeah, I'm definitely a minority in the M*A*S*H fandom. I love Father Mulcahy and Ferret-Face. One gets NO ATTENTION AT ALL D: and the other gets hatred ; ;

*REALLY* starting to dislike Hawkeye. D: Everytime I look at M*A*S*H stuff, it's always Hawkeye this, Hawkeye that. Never any Mulcahy or Frank and you cannot imagine how annoying that is for me. *snarls* But that's not exactly hate, that's more annoyance.

Fortunately, I have never run into the Trapper fangirls that you have mentioned. But that's just my experience.

Father Mulcahy wasn't bad really, but please enlighten me. What's do you think is so great about Frank? I'm not trying to be flippant or sarcastic, I really want to know.

I can see Frank being protected because he's such a pitiable man. He was placed in a situation where he violated his marriage vowels, and, there was always somebody to dangle in front of his face the possibility of telling his wife. He loved his wife like a mother, but when mommy wasn't around to love him, he cracked.

I understand why you'd be upset about that, malade. Frank was probably a pretty decent guy before he came to Korea. Being away from his wife and daughters, it had to get to him. I suppose one could make the case that his overbearing dictatorial nature was caused by the anger he felt at being so far from his family.

Colonel Potter, sweetheart that was, wanted me and BJ to invite him to play poker with us and have drinks together at the officer's club, so Frank would feel like one of the boys.

I can think of only one time I actually felt sorry for Major Frank Burns. It was when Margaret got engaged, and it was the scene where he was on the phone with his mother.

That's the only time I can think of that I felt sorry for and sympathy for Major Burns.

It's just that I don't see what people find so bad about him. To me it only seems like people hate him because he's 'mean' to Hawkeye or whatever. :/ It's always like that in fandoms and it makes me wanna eat fetuses.

Besides, he was stuck with two tent-mates who are pretty much the opposite of him, even moreso than Winchester was. Maybe if he'd been tent-mates with, oh say...Father Mulcahy, or a miscellaneous officer of some sort he wouldn't have seemed nearly so 'mean'.

Besides, I think he's adorable and misunderstood. :/

He does have the prettiest blue eyes I've ever seen. heart

All the characters have their charm, I just like some more than others. Like Radar, Potter, Father, Winchester, Klinger, and BJ are probably my main favorites. I like Hawkeye, Trapper, Ferret Face, and Henry.

I just don't like Hot Lips...

And then there's the misc generals that everyone's afraid of.
