The people who bash heavier cosplayers do it mainly because of the heavier people who wear skimpy cosplays (which I admit can be rather gross). But the majority of larger cosplayers wear tasteful costumes that suit their bodies that can be quite lovely. Most of the larger women I know would be too embarrassed of their bodies to wear, say a Faye from Cowboy Bebop costume. So I don't think it's fair to insist larger women cannot cospay or should be banned from cosplay.

Not all of them respect Lolita as a lifestyle, I guess.

Plus, normally tolerable people given the anonymity of the internet will turn into assholes.

I admit some of those photos are pretty bad. But the essence of lolita is politeness. Right? What gives them the right to take other people's photos and trash them like that. confused

Edit: Ok.. I looked a bit more, yes most photos are REALLY bad. But still.

And how does that make Humanity better as a whole?
I realise the human race is never going to perfect. But it disgusts me that you (or anyone) condones this sort of treatment.
Whether those girls are lolita or not, and whether or not you are a lolita, and whether or not you are trying to emulate the clothing style of a particular era, regardless of whatever the heck you are, people should always strive to treat each other kindly.

The person who posted the Nazi thing. That was sheer brilliance, because on a base level, that person was right. Bigotry in any form can eventually lead up to such hatred and tragedy as Hitler's regime. (Yes, I realise making fun of girls in dresses will improbably lead up to anything as catastophic as WWII, but you never know).

You're entitled to your own opinion, but negative attitudes will not be tolerated here.

You do realize however that some people are joining lolita guilds on Gaia just to see the forum boards, the images here and then take them and post them "on that community"?

i dont like ********... and i dont just think "lolitas should act mean!!!" its just... anyone!! generally, i go by "if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all." i do gove concrit to people... and, i admit, some pictures do make me cringe... but i dont say anything. it not about lolita, the internet, or anything like that, for me... its about the manners and morals i was raised having... and knowing that it hurts when people make fun of you... especially for things you cant help...

on ******** (and on ********) ive seen a lot of comments about body type, facial features, or other physical attributes that are totally irrelevant... like "such and such's dress isnt that bad... but oh dear god... look at those teeth!! do not want!!!" those kind of comments are far more hurtful than anything about clothes are are uncalled for... even in those communities. ive sort of drawn the short straw when it comes to physical perfection XDD so i know what its like to be made fun of for things you cant help... and its a lot worse because, even if i was in the most beautiful meta ensemble, someone could still be like "youre crosseyed!!!" or "are you male or female??"
