There are males that dress in GL. The male version of GL is called Dandy. But there are also males who wear actual GL dresses such as Mana, who is in my opinion, the best crossdresser ever.

Making EGL clothes is hard as all *beep*, trust me, I've tried. I mean, Mana and Nana Kitade are my fashion idols, which pretty much says it all. And yes, Mana is the best crossdresser ever, though Tim Curry did well in Rocky Horror Picture Show, but that doesn't count.

Oh yeah, and they sell EGL shoes and petticoats on www.cosworx.com . They have a really cute gosu-rori top hat in the Accessories section.

And don't forget another standard of EGL: Super Dollfie. Eeep. I would have an entire group of them dressed as Gackt-era Malice Mizer... if I could afford them. Damn low-paying job...

Dandies are cool, my girlfriend is one. Yes, a girl that dresses dandii, but it looks really good when I cosplay Mana and we go to the mall on Friday nights, when all the Gothies come out. It's fun.

And yes, the ruffles are annoying. Enter the wonderful tube of No-Sew or hot glue guns ^_^

Making the clothing isn't really that hard, it just takes a lot of time and effort. I've made a couple dresses, skirts, and a blouse, I want to make more, but Im just too darn lazy xd

stare and yes...girls can dress in dandy too...I never said it was for males only. If you check a volume of Gosu Rori youll see that its girls modeling the dandy fashion.

The term 'Dandy' actually reflects a nineteenth centruy British ideal of aesthetically beautiful male dress. The originator of the dandyist movement was, of course, the wild Mr. Oscar Wilde. I

n fact, when going around the country to do lectures, he was famous for wearing a violet in his coat's buttonhole and wearing pants that were shorter and more Victorian than the times found acceptable.

It's fun to learn, because knowledge is power!

I was just wondering how lolita and Cosplay can be mixed up?
I understand the whole concept of the two but I don't know how. Is it dressing really badly as a lolita and not being lolita? Im so confused xp

Think of it as being similar to people dressing as hippies, or goths, or doctors during halloween. Not everyone wears lolita on a regular basis, costumes aren't worn as regular wear either. Thats how it can be considered cosplay.
