Mwana felt her mouth open ever so slightly in shock. She had not, not in her wildest imaginations, dreamed he would try to take her away. Honestly, she had been rather surprised she had stayed this long to fend for her and her rights. But...leave? Since when did this stranger care so damn much? It was beyond her reasoning. She couldn't understand why he wanted to take her away at all.

But...she was tired of doing all the work. She was. She loved her sisters, but damn it, she wanted some appreciation. And he called her a number of things, but at least he seemed to notice that she did something. And if she went with him...she was bound to meet up with some strong pride, since he was strong himself. She might be able to get her family status, the thing they had been deprived of for so long. This was her chance to do something for the family, maybe, and for herself.

"Give me a minute to eat and talk to my sister," she requested, looking at Trigger. "Then we can go...please?" She didn't want to up and leave Mbweha on a bad note. She wanted to explain what she was doing. And eating would be nice too.

What Mwana had said surprised her so much that she didn’t even respond to this big brute. She was...leaving? With this man? Her wine eyes blinked in shock. Was this apart of some plan? Was she just to play along until she had secured some place? But... this was so sudden and Mbweha had always thought she was the one to come up with their plans. And with Mava sick? The food that had been bitter in her mouth was now rank, but she swallowed it down and ate no more.

Mwana was rebelling? Why-? Had they finally pushed her away? She had never seen anything wrong with the arguments they’d had. She’d always thought that they were bound as sisters to never leave, even if they didn’t always get along. Hell, she’d thought it was normal. But as hurt as she felt- the stoic female did not show much. She’d had enough pain to take this hit as well. A swallowing in her throat was all that showed she was wounded.

But a wounded heart solidified to anger- and she jerked her head away with a scowl, and walked in a dignified manner to the tree. If Mwana wanted to speak- then she’d walk to her. And she’d say nothing until this red beast was out of the way.

"Right. Eat your fill, we will start out. I will be by the river when you are done. Take too long I will come for you."

The reason for taking her out of this place was to get this sister away from this virtual slavery her sisters are putting her under. He didn't know it all but what he knew was enough to make a drastic decision. He looked back to the sisters and then to Mwana, nodding he moved past her and headed back down to the river to clean off the blood on his back.

THe water was cool as it slipped over his back, unfortunately, he was not able to reach that far back. As horrible as it was, it was probably gonna stick to his fur...

Take too long and he'd come for her? Did he really want her to go with him that badly? She couldn't prevent her self-worth from swelling, even if it was some strange, pushy rogue. She slid her silver gaze over to Mbweha, who looked very unhappy. Well it would serve her right! It felt good for the first time to finally do something about always being the one to work. It really did. Though...she really didn't want to leave on a completely bad note with her sibling. So she jumped lightly into the tree, something she and her sisters had been good at for a while due to their light frames.

"Mbweha...I'm doing this for us," she murmured as she drew near. "You can't honestly believe, someone as strong as him won't run into a strong pride. And then I can worm my way in and get us the status we deserve. We can't just keep wandering around aimlessly. I'm going to do something."

Mbweha waited until the male left. What Mwana said made sense- but by god, could she have dropped this any more suddenly? Sure they had argued before, but it hadn’t seemed like anything they didn’t normally do. Bitterly, the white Fox turned her head towards Mwana, who had lodged herself into the tree.

“Truly?” She asked stiffly. “Or are you just angry about before?”

She looked far passed the tree, and over where the red male had disappeared. He was at the stream, doing something with himself. Cleaning? What a pompous... “Are you thinking this through Mwana?” Mbweha curtly remarked again, looking to her. “How do you know this male is worth anything? It isn’t like you to get so attached. I don’t know what he said to you- but can we trust him?”

And the unspoken point- what exactly was Mbweha supposed to do waiting for Mwana? Taking care of Mava- how would she manage to survive? Bitterly she scowled. “What you speak of takes time. How do you know he'll find something?”

"Angry about what?" Mwana shifted, feigning ignorance. She was not so keen to admit she was making a rash decision for spite. Oh no, she had justification. But she didn't want any lectures from Mbweha pulling them appart. She'd had enough of such things from her. "I'm not attatched, but I have a strong reason to believe that he's going to head to a strong pride where I can either work through him or someone else. As for thinking it through...if I did it like you wished me to, Mbweha, he'd be long gone. No, I think I'll go through his open window while it remains so."

She knew once Mbweha started running her mouth she wouldn't stop. And she wasn't going to let her sister bully her out of a decision this time. She was making a choice for herself! "You will just have to take care of Mava until I return...or send someone to fetch you," she said as she hopped down from the three.

Mbweha seethed quietly and remained where she was seated. If only she’d known the day would end like this! Was it something in the air? Instead of dinner she’d ended up with an inlaw and a lost sister! And such a gamble too. It wasn’t like Mwana to just do something like this. Had that red bafoon put these notions into her head? Unconsciously, she jerked her eyes towards the male in the distance. Still washing. The way he had looked at her!

“This is a gamble, Mwana,” Mbweha hissed, but Mwana was already leaving. “Mwana!” She curtly called, but it seemed the faded blue female wished to avoid her tongue. She was just going to leave? Like that- leaving her and Mava? Ungrateful!

“Fine,” The white lioness bristled. “Do what you want Mwana. But for your sake, I hope your little scheme works. Otherwise you'll just be stuck with him."

"It will!" Mwana snapped defensively. "And I do hope when that time comes you appreciate what I had to do!" And with her irratation and fire renewed, she turned to go meet Trigger, leaving the impalla behind, forgotten on the ground. Eating was the last thing she was really thinking about right now. "Ungrateful...insufferable..." she grumbled, letting her voice die down as she neared. Well, Mbweha would see! She'd regret letting her slip away!

She gave Trigger a smile, "I'm ready to go." And she was, ready to stop seeing the disapproing look of her sister's.

Mbweha grunted and turned away, climbing back up the tree and eyeing the two in the distance through violet eyes. As much as they needed her plan to work, Mbweha privately wished it wouldn’t so Mwana would be forced to return and apologize. They did things as a team- not just one and some brute. And yet- even as she seethed, she privately wondered if they really had been too hard on her. Had they forced her away? It was just too sudden and bewildering.

One thing was for sure. She hadn’t liked the look that male had in his eyes when he had grown angry with her. She snorted and looked away, determined not to watch them leave.

She hoped her sister knew what she was getting in to.

Trigger had been washing his fur during her absence. It seemed that he could reach his back with his paw and so there was that streak. Oh well, it'll have to stay there then. With a sigh he rose to his feet and stood beside her. He had no idea why he had said that he would take her away, but he said it and he had to follow through. The thing was, her sisters made her hunt everyday getting them food while they lazed around. It was almost slavery...no, it was slavery and she did not know it. Living through that life since cub hood, he could not bear anyone else in that life. This was his attempt to save her.

"Alright, come, lets go."

He said coldly, unaware of her plans. His only thought was to find a place to rest for the night, but since he said that he was gonna take Mwana to a better place, he was stuck with her.

This was gonna be a rough night.
