Spiral Out Kata Samoes I got a PM saying I was an idiot for my sig that quoted a pro-lifer who said "humans are hardly plants." Mindcandy said that, actually..I thought it was quite dumb.
It ended up as a mini-debate of what mindcandy meant by the statement. I hate idiots, I really do.
ninja What did they mean by that statment?

I almost wish I had irritating PMs from Pro-Lifers . . . then I could carefully torture them twisted They want to ask stupid questions, I will give them stupid answers! Unless they ask halfway intelligent questions and seem genuinely interested. It could happen . . .
I should put something Pro-Choice in my signiature . . . but the lovely Guild banner exceeds my character limit and I'm at a loss crying

Freedom Fire PhaedraMcSpiffy I once got a gorey, nasty picture from an idiot on Myspace. I got a bulletin like that once on MySpace. It had a bunch of gross pictures and said something like "If you're no against abortion, you're heartless!" You mean "Look here if you have a heart!"? EVERYBODY sees that one. I never got it as a PM, but it's all over. The PM I got was from some stupid girl from (I think) Spain. It was called "The Silent Scream" and, not suprisingly, the movie was listed under her favorites. And MindCandy's quote does sound stupid. Especially out of context.

Very VERY little similarities, but it's we cannot be compared in such a manner to be "hardly plants" as we are not plants at ALL. We cannot photosynthesize. produce flowers or actual seeds, and we don't turn green..unless sea/air/motion sick.
And you're right, it would be better in context for all who might wish to fully understand. At the same time, it's possible to look at it and shake your head, thinking "Why would someone say that..?" as it seems rather idiotic to me unless you cannot word your argument any better or come up with a better way to dismiss said argument (regardless of what it was), where it can be or will be viewed as..desperate.
However, if you still wish to disagree with me because of your own personal opinions that may or may not respect mine (as we are free and human), projecting me in some degrading manner from you: feel free.
I just hope you at least understood.

Very VERY little similarities, but it's we cannot be compared in such a manner to be "hardly plants" as we are not plants at ALL. We cannot photosynthesize. produce flowers or actual seeds, and we don't turn green..unless sea/air/motion sick.
And you're right, it would be better in context for all who might wish to fully understand. In the choloroplasts photosynthesis takes places which is basically 6CO2 + 12H2O + Energy from light = C6H12O6 + 6O2 + 6H20
I don't know if you want me to go into light dependent reactions and dark reactions etc. xd
