Her ears pricked. He made mistakes? Still stuck between puppy hood and adult hood the idea of an adult wolf making mistakes seemed... well not impossible just unlikely.
Since he'd let his pride down it only seemed fair that she do the same. "Hn, that stupid doe kicked my paw but I can handle it." ... Well at least she admit ed to having a wound.
Something else was gnawing at her. "....what is your name?" The sly wolf had never told the female his name and she was determined to find out. After all they were just hunting partners.

The male continued to nibble upon the doe, enjoying the taste of fresh meat. Sure, it was different eating with another nearby, and occassionally he warned her away from an organ with a small baring of teeth. It was natural, it wasn't meant to be insulting. . . merely body language working at its best.
There was a reason wolves had hierarchy and their bodies were able to communicate. Feasting with others was both glorious and (especially in large packs with not enough meat to go around) a fight.
Thankfully D.S. was a slow eater and wasn't pushing herself on to the kill.
Shanuh's paranoia could relax.
The cream male said nothing as she spoke of her paw. It was obvious there was something the matter. Well . . . so long as she wasn't a cripple, she'd be fine. It would heal. . . he didn't have to care.
"Shanuh," he finally replies, deciding that he had no reason to hide. She had earned a name through food. Perhaps knowing that, her curiousity would be sedated and she'd stop pestering. Why did she have to know his name? It wasn't as if they were friends. . . .
He'd be in and out of her life in an instant, if things worked out. As soon as his meal was properly digested.

The silver wolf stared at him for a few seconds. Shanuh... That was all she needed. Her mind was set at ease. She ate the last of what her stomach could hold and pushed herself up.
A yelp caught in her throat as she made her way to a grassier area a few feet away. Her paw gave out and she collapsed onto the ground, growling at it. She stopped herself from checking on Shunah, he didn't care and neither should she.
She rested her head down onto the grass and curled up. It always felt so good to sleep after a good meal. Her eyes remained open. What if he left while she slept....
Why did she care? Her mind muddled over this for a few moments. Her paw, she decided. After all, in this condition she wouldn't be able to run or fight properly. Still... why did she worry that he'd leave? He'd do it anyway.
