Ayri^eagle [Haruko] Ayri^eagle When I am feeling stressed and want to revert from my zen-ness I always look at the sky and feel better. The sky is always so calm round and pure and smooth. I am an air sign... the sky is my freedom... -[Haruko]yes exactly, I'm glad someone understands. *lol* I love the way you disregarded the dictionary and went with the term "zen-ness" - it has a certain finesse... -[Haruko]

.Well I grew up in a very open family. My Grandfather instested that I did not go to church (of any sort) untill I was the age of 12 where I could make my choice. On the following months/years after my 12th birthday we bounced from church to church all threw mine, and the surrounding towns (he also had me read books on ancient religions) he really wanted me to pick the religion that was right for me. During that however I discovered something... I was Agnostic. Now before you all say that all an Agnostic is, is some one who can't decided what religion to pick... it also means some one who refuses to pick a religion.
I come to the realisation that the Celts had it right. All religions exist in a form. Its a hard thing to explain, but once the concept is grasped it just made since for me.
So instead of dedicating myself to one set of beliefs I try to follow as many as possible (that is not always possible, and there are things I refuse to do). The teachings of Buddha help me feel better about myself, and improve my well being.
Kinda out in left field... I know... I don't talk about it much neutral .

I can understand and respect your opinions. It is nice to see someone else who is Agnostic with reason, not just a "Religion-Hater" -[Haruko]

story...story... so my parents are what's the opposite of fundamentalist? Christians. They don't really even have a specific branch. But they believe that God exsists. I don't believe that you can prove that, but I respect their beliefs. I decided to set out to finda religion suited to me. I read books and articles on religions. I started pulling little bits from all sorts of religions. Includint Shintoism, Christianity, Paganism and primarily Buddhism. No that interesting, but hey.

So just be careful.. i think thats all i can say

Doubt is never of any use. do not dwell on what has passed. It has happened, nothing can be done to change it. Doubt is a path leading to unhappiness. And I have also gathered my beliefs from different religions (although most of them I thought of myself). I do not feel that causes confusion. Just as long as no beliefs contradict. Although, beliefs often contradict within a single religion.

I just needed to ramble for a moment:
I feel that I have lived my life in a manner that most would find contradictory, but I am proud of what I have become... of course, there are some things that I feel a little weary about, but I choose not to live my life with regrets... they just keep you "bummed out" and dwelling on the past helps no one... now, I am not saying that I have never felt regret or dwelt upon my past, I am just saying that I try my hardest not to... although there are some things in my life I choose not to forgive... and others still that I cannot forget no matter how hard I try... -[Haruko]

The other day I was reading "letter to a christian nation" and although I realize it is the Christian's choice and I respect that...but no christian I know ACTUALLY follows what's in the bible...they think some instructions of the bible are horribly immoral...so why do they still follow the rest of the religion? I can't understand it... Why do they still think the bible is the word of god? I just wanted to share that with you.
