The ultra powerful bird-warrior goddess summon, who pretty much can kill all the enemies on the field. The mage in the party doesn't learn how to summon her until later on in the game, though, and takes a lot of MP to do it.

The main villian who everyone thinks is a girl, the about half-way through the game, the hero finds out that 'she' is actually a 'he', trying to become a 'she'.

he hero's virginal girl friend, which the hero has to save in almost every mission. She is also rich or royal among their village
