Eh our school is full of newbs and this is my first year trying festival. Our songs are just two so far. Thats Entry of the tumblers and the traditional Festival march. Personally I've been playing for 5 years but some of my fellow classmates have only been playing for about 3...

Into the Air!
Into the Air! is the second hardest piece on the festival list (we already did the hardest D=)
No one has ever attempted it before. xD We win.

BandNerdsRHot We havent got our 3rd one yet But 1st: Encanto 2nd: Heaven's Air Im only in 7th grade
*stares at sig* WHY THE HELL AM I BEING THE RANDOMLY FOLLOWED PERSON?!?!!!..........whatever. i'm over it.
this might be a loooong post so brace yourselves..
first i'll start with what the CHS concert band is playing,
i can't remember the march.(go me)
1. Flourish for wind band
2. Midst the storm
ok, now for what the length is.
Tubariffic: the CHS wind symphony played Ghost Train last year. it's a beautiful peice, and even better if you have a good tenor sax player, and good flute player (maybe exelent should go in place of 'good'...) My mom is playing Lincolnshire Posy in her comunity band, and one of the high school tuba players in that band is playing it for festival
dingodog01: Our HS concert band played Nathan Hale Trilogy last year for our spring concert (perhaps it was festival, i don't remember) It's a gorgouse piece i loved it! I enjoyn googling for recordings of music, that was one that i found a recording of, and i learned some history whilist googling for it. XD
so i guess it wasn't that long. I was thinking about making a comment about the Corale and Shaker Dance, but then i realized that it said II at the end, so end of comment... XD

I know that our wind ensemble is playing Sabre and Spurs (which I saw someone else is playing :3) and some piece called Persistance. Which I hate. And we might be playing some gay as sin piece called Prelude and Fugue in (is it?) Bb minor from the Well-Tempered Clavichord. Woot for NYSSMA!! We're going level VI, baby!! GOLD WITH DISTINCTION!!
Although my concert choir won a festival down in Virginia two years ago. We were named the best choir on the East coast. We decided that our medal was SEXY WITH DISTINCTION!!!

Our three songs are Noble Men, Overture in B flat, and Morning's first light. I hate to say it, but my band sucks. Nobody seems to ever practice and i think that we are really going to suffer for it this year.
