I love Borders and Waldens heart I also like Birchbark though 3nodding I've found some really interesting books that were in great condition there.

I like both. But I think I prefer Barnes & Noble a little more. I like their cushy chairs where I can sit and drink coffee and read.

I'm a Border's Purist, mainly becaues they're more of them around. I'm a creature of habit. And I don't like Books A Million.

I like to order from the B&N website. I have an account on there so it is quite easy to do so now. I just ordered two books and a DVD this week, but I don't think they'll arrive until Monday.

I don't live in the states, you guys are lucky. Our books are sooooooo expensive, I bought "Wicked" in Canada for $20 not including 15% tax, and when we went to the states last week I found the same book for $12.95 with NO tax! gonk I love Canada and all, but the insanely high book prices really frustrate me. stare

eek Wow, you guys have a lot of book stores. In Canada we only have Indigo, Chapters, and Coles.

I heard that Borders has a better Manga selection, but the only one near me is almost an hour drive. The B&N is only a 45 minute drive. Yeah, I live in a more rural area.
There used to be a Walden books in the mall, but they're gone now.
So, I'd have to say I prefer B&N just because that's where I go to get my books. I love the atmosphere there as well.
I still try to go to my little local bookstore when I can though.

Zwah, They're both about equidistant from my house and they actually carry about the same selection where I live so... It's about the atmosphere, I guess.

So Barnes wins.

Borders tries to mimic Barnes's atmosphere... and it sort of fails. That and Barnes has the Manga, the Scifi and the Fantasy close to the Art and Technique books... I don't have to move around! whee

Sorry Borders. But you just don't deliver to me. I'm a Barnes Girl! *dies trying to do silly cheerleader move*

I like Borders better. It's bigger than the Barne's closest to me, event hough it is a little farther. And they have a better cd and manga selection, even though I don't go there for that.

I love Borders but I go to the local library for used books. I actually got some kickass used books from Amazon but I don't buy much online. Anyway, Borders is closer, being in Auburn Hills. They have a great selection and I love the manga.

I live practically next to a Barnes and Nobel, but no Boarders in sight. This B&N has a great selection of manga, but not much on the new age and witchcrafty department. Oh well, I guess it's one or the other. Besides, being close to it, I can order the stuff they don't have in stock off the website and have it in after one or two days!

Borders is about 45 minutes away, while B&N is only about ten. I find that B&N has a much better atmosphere, though I haven't been to Borders enough for me to say which one I truly prefer.

Barnes & Noble is having a clearance sale for the summer so I have ordered some more books, as if I had the bookshelf space or the need for them. Sometimes one just has to do it. This whole free shipping on orders over $25 is such a great temptation.
