He smiled slightly and nodded, standing and heading for the woods. "I really love the forest." He said quietly. "It always seems so lonely... we have myths about it being haunted. I know not many of the younger members like going into it.... I love it there though." He said slowly, trying to take his mind off of recent events.

Ayo smiled softly at him and nodded. "well then, lets go for a nice walk in the forest, haunted or not I'm sure its lovely. " she walked around beside him, waiting for him to take the lead. She wanted to help him, and felt bad that he was feeling so down. Wishing she knew what the problem was so maybe she could help fix things she sighed. He would tell her what was wrong when he was ready, maybe it just hurt to much right now.

He nodded and led the way, after a while they were into the forest. The trees were tall and almost branchless until quite a few feet up. No lion could ever climb these, and Kenai was not sure if many climbers could climb them either.
"It's always so quiet here, nice." He commented softly. He smiled softly at her and his tail flicked.

Ayo felt so small as the trees towered above her, they seemed to brush the very sky itself. Dappled rays of light rained down on them as the leaves of the thick canopy swayed in the wind above.
The lioness took a set on the soft moss at the base of one of the large trees. She felt as if she was a cub again. "Haunted or not, this place is beautiful... I could live out here happily."

He chuckled and flopped down in the moss with her, in a much better mood than before. He was even ready to share with her, the death of his mother. "You know... I never would have thought my mom would die.." He said softly, staring up at the sky. "I thought she would have outlived us all."

Ayo smiled as he laid down beside her, her tail flicking softly in the moss around them. She watched Kenai as he looked up at the tall trees above them, but the words that came out of his mouth where ones she never expected to hear.
"I'm So sorry Kenai.... " was all she could find to say. "that's what your dad told you then? No wonder he was so sad...." She lowered her head and lightly nuzzled him.

Kenai nodded softly and as she nuzzled him lightly he seemed to turn on his side, almost curling around her as he rested his head against hers, eyes shut. "Life continues to flow, just like the rivers around us." Eventually you ended up in the ocean, right? "Maybe she will end up in the sky, with the other greats." He whispered, but soon he was fast asleep. He wanted to sleep off his pain, he wanted to stop being so confused. Because while he was in pain, something else stirred inside of him. He knew it had to do with being around Ayo, but he couldn't place it.

Ayo nodded softly and smiled at him. "yes, I'm sure she was a great lioness and will take her place in the sky to watch over us all, and guide us from above. Besides, she had to have been very wonderful to have such a great son." She smiled at Kenai as he curled up and his eyes shut, giving into sleep.
Ayo stayed awake for a long time, just watching him sleep. She wasnt tired, but eventually her eyes did shut and she too drifted off to sleep. Hopefully tomorrow would dawn on a more plesnt experiance.
