Ra led Obie into his room with a bit of a sheepish smirk. It was what might best be described as a mess. "Sorry." He said as he walked over to the open case he had yet to unpack. He had a few things he had brought back. "This is for you." he said handing her a square box "And this is for you too, from my grandfather actually." He smirked as he handed them to her. The first was something he had asked his mother to pick up in London, something not Iranian but that he knew she would love. It was a deep purple and silver Sari, Choli and under skirt, accompanied with a host of bangles. A guilt present he supposed for having to disappear on her. The second was a special blend of tea from his granfather's tea house. Made especially for her and in an ornate box.

Obie smirked as she looked around his room and set her bag down by the door. Taking the two boxes from him, she smiled and went to sit down on the edge of his bed. Setting his grandfather's present down on the bed, she opened the first box and blinked in utter surprise. Looking up at him, she smirked as she slid the bangles onto her wrists. "It's beautiful Ra-ne," she smiled and looked back down to run her fingers over the beautiful cloth, then set it down and lifted the clothes out of the box to get a proper look at them. Holding it up to herself she gave him a wink. "What do you think?"

"It suits you perfectly." He smirked as he watched her and brought out another wooden box to set down on the bed between them. "Now you won't have to mess around with sheets anymore." he said, giving her a wink. "My gradfather says the other present will help you with your studies." He said with a smile. "Then I'm going to take a look at this." He continued running his fingers over the third box. "It's what my grandmother left me. I haven't peeked yet."

Obie smirked and refolded the sari. "How did you know about that?" she teased with another wink as she set it back into the box, her wrists jingling with bangles. Looking at the other box he had given her, she arched a brow and ran her fingers over the ornate design before opening it. "Tea? You mean I have my very own special blend from your grandfather? I don't have to keep stealing yours?" she asked and leaned over to kiss him gently. "Thank you Ne-chan. You'll have to help me write something to your grandfather to thank him as well," she smiled and looked down at the third box he had pulled out. "What do you think it is?" she asked, looking back up at him.

"it looks like a jewelry box." he said slipping out a letter that his grandfather had written. "Though she left most of that for Risa." he looked up at Obie and smiled as he opened the catch on the box. Inside was jewelry, several pieces, ornate and old looking bracelets and necklaces." Raising an eyebrow he opened the letter and read the scrawl. "Wow, family heirlooms, she says I have to put them somewhere safe for my daughter to have one day." he gave a small laugh and folded the note. "I wonder what happens if I don't have a daughter." he said with a wry smirk.

"Or worse yet, if you have nothing but daughters. Then how do you know who gets what?" Obie smirked as she peered down at the gorgeous jewelry. Reaching out, she glanced up at him briefly, then ran a gentle finger over one of the bracelets. "They're so beautiful," she smiled and withdrew her hand. Sitting back, she slowly pulled the bangles off of her wrists to set them back in the box with the sari and smiled as she thought for a moment. "You know... I really am sad that I never got to meet her," she said softly and looked up at him. "I realize she might not have liked me very much, but I think I might have liked her and I think... I might have learned a lot from her," she said as she removed the last bracelet and put the lid back on the box so she wouldn't lose any of them.

Ra smirked. "Wow that is true." he said as he closed the lid on the jewelry box and set it on the floor. "I'm sad you won't get to meet her too." he said with a nod. "Though hopefully you'll get to visit where they live one day. Then you can see more about her and you can meet my grandfather." he said with a smile, holding his hand out to her. "I think deep down she would have liked you, like deep down she liked my mother, Or so I believe anyway. Her pride would just never let her admit it."

Obie set her gifts down on the floor next to his and slipped her hand into his as she slid closer to him. "I'd really like to go one day," she smiled and looked up at him. "Do you truly forgive me Ne-chan? For being so horrible and not being there for you when you needed me?" she asked softly as she looked up into his eyes.

Ra looked into her eyes and cupped her cheek in his hand. "I do B." He said with a soft smile. "Because I know you didn't mean to do it, and because I know you are going to try to put things right." he smiled and leaned forwards to kiss her deeply. "Though you are going to have to make it up to me somehow." he smirked against her lips.

Obie returned his kiss and opened her eyes with a smirk when he broke it. "I'm all yours. Anything you want, you've got it," she smiled and slipped her hand into his hair as she teased his lips with hers. "You have... my undivided... attention," she smirked between kisses.

"Excellent." He smirked as he wrapped his arms around her.
~~~
"Is it your course?" Ra asked as he traced a line across Obie's stomach. "Why you started drinking again?" he knew it was a slightly random question and one that was probably not appropriate post "makeup" but he wanted to try and understand things, to help her as much as he could.
Obie had been revelling in the warmth of being wrapped in his arms when his question came out of nowhere. Arching a brow, she looked down at him as she toyed with his hair and he continued to explain his original question. Swallowing, she looked up to the ceiling and shrugged a little.
"Yes," she replied. "It bothers me that I'm struggling so much in it. Usually I do so well and the amount of studying I'm having to do is driving me crazy. And... if I don't do well I'll lose my scholarships. If that happens, then I won't be able to afford to come to school here. I'll probably have to move back to the states or take some time off to work for a while or something," she said softly, closing her eyes. "It... just feels a bit hopeless. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to pull it off this time."
Ra nodded and buried his face against her shoulder to press a kiss to her skin. He was lucky to have parents who earned enough to keep him away from the stress of scholarships. "They do expect too much from us I think." he said softly. "I've never really had to try before but now, i really have to work to keep up with my grades." He sighed and closed his eyes for a moment as he breathed her in. "I wish I could do something to help you." He said with a sigh.
"You do help me Ne-chan," she smiled and combed her fingers through his hair. "You keep me sane. Though I'm scared," she admitted, running her hand down over his bare shoulder and back. "If I can't do this... I don't want to leave you," she said softly. "I mean... at least I'll have a family I can turn to now, but... I've known and loved you longer. I really don't want to lose you." She opened her eyes, and shifted a little to wrap her arm around him and press a kiss to the top of his head.
Ra frownedand propped himself up on his elbow. He really didn't want her to leave either. "I could transfer. If it came to the worse." he said softly as he ghosted his hand down to rest on her hip. "Or, ..." he paused,wondering whether to suggest what was going through his head. "Maybe ... maybe my mother would sponser you. Not her personally, but one of the groups she works for they might be more lenient on grade requirements."
