Ran merely lifted her head at the teacher's comment, finishing up her wraps, before moving toward the center of class. As she spoke, she reached upwards, tying her long black hair into a straight braid down her back. She was debating on keeping the style on a more permanent basis. Made it easier for her to fight.

"M'names Ran Hana. I s'pose I can say this is the first time in a long time I fought without a zanpaktou, or bokken." the way her knuckles cracked however, as her hands were brought together in front of her, was a mild indication. She'd had a good deal of training, as far as hand to hand combat. Her style was probably the most basic; street fighting.

She reached up after several moments, and slid her haori down off her arms, adjusting the ties on the rather unique kimono she wore, finding it to be a great deal more comfortable than the usual school outfit. Her back, beneath it, was bare, except for a large lotus tattoo that dominated her muscular back.

"Nice t'meet ya'll. Heya Tsai." a familiar greeting to the one person she actually knew.

Kaosu couldn't hold it in any longer. "Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go!" He hopped from one foot to the other impatiently. "Come on...let's go!" He practiced a few jabs and swipes. "Skip the runnin'. I wanna fight!"

"Alright." Korin merely nodded from where she sat, folding her hands across her lap casually.

"Remember. The point here is to disable, and defend. Pair off, begin fighting. But do not, land a lethal blow. Be careful, and if you care to, critique your partner. Fight dirty, if you dare. I want time to gauge your styles."

Mai nodded at Houjun-sensei's comment and then at Tsai, she was pumped and ready to fight. Mai was itching to fight after resting for such a period of time. She began hopping to let the blood flow a bit before she started.

Then, she moved forward, at first, she began with a small step and then she rushed forward brisky, she threw a feint punch at Tsai's face first. Then she turned her entire body to left and pulled her left leg up as she performed a spin kick aiming at the mid-body area, it was a light kick to throw Tsai off balance.

Mai hopped backwards avoiding Tsai's kick to her right leg by a few inches. Then she placed her left foot on the ground as she backed up a bit. Her first attempt at attacking Tsai didn't work. She began encircling Tsai for a few seconds before she moved close to him again.

This time, she moved forward grabbed Tsai by the neck and got him into a backwards head-lock as she began kneeing him in the stomach as quickly as she could.

Mai swatted away the punches as if they were mere flies. And then she broke through the armed fury and kicked with her left foot as she moved forward in mid-air, curling her right leg slightly for more of a boost off effect.

"Come on Tsai is that all you got?" she asked sounding as cocky as ever.

Haro walked into the classroom and he sighed deeply, thoughts styill clouded his mind like the dark gray masses before it rained and he sighed as he looked to the sensei of the class, another woman, and no doubt just by the look of her she was another strong woman. He smiled as he walked up to her, blood still leakingfrom his forehead. "Hello sensei, I hope I am not too late to begin training in your class." He said with a bright smile as he bowed to her. "If I am indeed too late, I would love if I could just sit in for this class to see your teachings before the next class begins." He said, clapping his hands together and half-bowing, obviously showing respect for the sensei.

His sparing weapon had been shattered by his teacher of the last class so he was lucky that this class was not one that needed a weapon. His hand was not bleeding as much any more but as he wrapped them it slowly allowed a small red blotch to form on them, and he took his shirt off and he wrapped his chest across as well, an unusual thing, but he did it because of the massive bruise that ahd been placed there by his friend Megumi. He sighed slightly as he finsiehd the wraps and he looked to the familiar faces around and he smiled, glad to be around them once more. He then stood there, straight and looking at the sensei, awaiting her decision.

Tsai was surprised that Mai managed to break free from that last attack but she was quick and powerful, what was he thinking trying to beat her at her own game on her own terms? He quickly began assessing the situation and watched Mai's movements carefully. She seemed to be more pumped and ready to fight than she was awhile ago. Tsai was already fighting at his best unarmed, it wasn't enough.

The training that he had done with Kaosu had only improved Kaosu and not him. He would later have to make a training program that was twice as hard as Kaosu and endure it no matter what. Tsai then got out of his daze as soon as he noticed Mai coming closer with a sort of jumping spin kick. Tsai jumped to the sides avoiding her kick by a long shot. He rolled and got back up as soon as he landed and got into position to attack Mai from the sides. He saw an opening, it was small but it was a good shot. Tsai moved quickly forward with a simple punch, not very powerful but Tsai needed to be more accurate with the punches he delivered.
