While they were preparing for the jump, Daisuke sent a squadron alert out to the all members of the Wolf Squadron from his comm unit. The alert would tell them to be on standby.

Churane System
Another desolate, barren system, the Churane System is where the Defender and her micro fleet jumped too. The fleet came out in orbit of Churane Two. A quick scan revealed unlisted presenses in the Churane Obyst Field in the outskirts of the system. The scan revealed ten unknown figures that were instantly listed as enemy. This was the Zeus Flotilla. It was short ships though. Seven support ships had been assigned to the Flotilla. The Defender slowed to a halt and sent a message out on the sub-fleet channel to come to the system.

Daisuke stood there looking over the sensor reports. In his mind he couldn't help but ponder what would cause them to come to desolate area of space with the ships. Although soon he stopped and began to mentally prepare himself for what must be done to retake the ships.

The Bellerophon unfolded just behind Defender. They also ran scans on the area. The crew seemed pleased when the Zeus-class ships were detected. That was short lived when the Major reminded them that the ships were under enemy control.

The Vice Admiral patched a transmission through to the OMS Bellerophon. "Major, I don't know how many of those ships are Zeus class. We had seven other ships in the Zeus flotilla but I'm only reading ten ships and at this range, we can't tell which ships are which. Any closer though, and we'll be in their sensor range. We need to await the arrival of our back-up."

The Major sent a reply. "Confirmed. We will wait here until reinforcements arrive. But I do suggest that we make does more battle preparations."

Kai looked at the Vice Admiral. "Excuse me sir. If you would inform me a bit more about the sensor systems on those ships? Well atleast on the ships that were developed for your government." Kai was hoping that there were limitations on the sensors for the then Confederation Zeus-class ships. He wanted tilt the tides of battle before the battle began.

Vice Admiral Kane nodded. "The sensor systems on the Zeus class are far weaker than the sensors on the Defender. Our new ships of the line have highly advanced sensors. And plus for us is that they're in the asteroid field, which makes it harder for them to get a good signal."

Kai took in the Vice Admiral's every word. "Do those ships' sensors have a weight requirement? For instance the sensors on OMSF ships can not detect anything under 60,000 kg. Although our Zeus-class ships have more advanced sensors that can pick up almost anything within 720,000 kiometers. With this turn of events it would be reasonable to predict those sensors onboard the OMSF Zeus-class ships is not operation because the ships' AI have not come online since the ships have not received activation code from an OMSF officer."

"Adding to that is the fact that some of their equipment was not yet operational when the flotilla disappeared. Also, they're currently in a nebulae that blocks outgoing scans. It should block incoming scans as well, but our advanced equipment can detect them."

Kai turned his gaze from the Vice Admiral to Daisuke. "Colonel, that gives us limited potential for an infiltration attack. We can detect the ships but not the amount of personnel onboard so internal attack may very well be repelled."
Daisuke cursed under his breath. "Vice Admiral, how long until your reinforcements arrive?" After a few moments, Daisuke came up with a new plan. "Kai tell the Major to send over a VC-33T with the other members of our squadron and thirteen Marines. Everyone is to be equipped with Power Suits and Moritas and have them bring Power Suits for us."
Kai carried out Daisuke's orders, although it would take a while for the squadron and the marines to be ready to depart from the Bellerophon. In thinking that they were preparing to go into combat, Gene's lips formed into a smirk.

"They should be arriving soon, they were ..." As he was saying that, the proximity alarms sounded once, to alert that allied ships were reverted. The other destroyers and battleships reverted around the Defender. They all checked in, appearing on the BAC and tactical computers. "Alright, the plan is to retake each ship via boarding action. We have enough marines to take a large space station. Each ship is crewed with the bare minimum. All ships are to open fire with ion cannons. Disable the ships and board them. Those are your orders." He hit the comm and summoned Lieutenant Colonel Ichiharu. He came in and the two exchanged a silent conversation. Basically, he was telling Ichiharu that he was leading the Defender's marines in combat.

Moments after the Vice Admiral finished giving out the orders, Daisuke's comm gave him an alert informing him the transport had arrived. "Confirmed. Kai, Gene we are to report back to the hangar and join up with the VC-33T. Let's move." Daisuke, Kai, and Gene all ran out of the Command Salon to the hangar in what seemed to be no time at all. They went to their fighters and retrieved their Moritas before running to the transport. Once they were on the transport they quickly took off their pilot's enviromental suits and put on their power suits. The group from the OMSF was ready for combat, they were just waiting for the signal now.

Over the comms, the Vice Admiral's voice sounded. "All ships, prepare to engage jump engines....jump!" The fleet, with the OMSF ship would jump to lightspeed for a short second before coming out just outside of the asteroid field, in combat mode.

After the ship's jumped, the transport took off from the Defender's hangar. The transport proceeded at full speed towards the closest Zeus class ship. The OMSF troops inside were preparing their weapons and equipment for combat. Daisuke watched the men perform their weapons check before he walked towards the cockpit. "ETA?"
The pilot turned to Daisuke for a brief second. "Colonel, ETA is ten minutes." After that the pilot turned his focus back to piloting the transport incase the craft was fired upon.
The VC-33T's Jump Master walked up to Daisuke. "Sir, are jump preparation have been completed. You and your men can jump as soon as we are over the target."
Daisuke turned to the Jump Master "I know. However it is the most effective method. We'll use our Power Suit's jump jets to propel us through space to the ship's hulls. Our we can then use the magnetic boots to secure our selves or make our way across the hull then make our own entry point." Daisuke then walked back to his men and would wait until they were in range for their jump.

The massive Defender turned broadside and opened fire with a barrage of ion fire. The other ships were firing as well. Fighter/bombers equipped with ion cannons were falling from the hangers of several of the warships and joining the battle.
The Zeus Flotilla was slow to respond, but soon laser fire was screaming from the nebula along with fighters. Some were recognizable as old Confederacy fighters while some were chopped up mishmoshed fighters. These fighters were met with a screen of Federation fighters.

The Bellerophon started to fire salvo after salvo of missiles and beam fire. The Major was hoping that the barrage would give cover to the boarding parties. He was thinking that the skeleton crews would be too busy returning fire and maintain essential systems to detect and much less repel the boarding parties. The Major also ordered two squadrons of VF-4 Lightning squadrons to launch.
The OMSF boarding party was still en route to its designated target. They were currently five minutes away at the longest. Daisuke and his command were eager to retake the ship and lay waist to any traitors onboard, this was mainly because of their own internal war on traitors. "No mercy expected, no mercy given." Those would be the last words spoken by the Colonel until they reached their jump coordinates.
