Itami Hmm, thats good to hear the episodes ok. I saw the fight for GekiChopper. I don't really like him too much. He's all right I guess, but he just isn't as cool as GekiViolet to me. Cutting water at this point of gekirangers isn't really that impressive xd I totally agree. Though, I hope the show somehow convinces me to like Ken some other way. At this point, Gou is still my top favorite of the Gekirangers. The cutting-the-water bit... I think I realized how many times I've seen THAT use of a shot, that it's probably the reason I didn't feel for the episode. :/

Yeah for his first episode it wasn't too grand. A shigeki powered chouryuken on the otherhand is more interesting, especially since they had GekiViolets theme ready. GekiChopper's apperance felt a bit bland. As you said though, hopfully theres something along the lines that makes us like him more.

Didn't want to post in the GekiViolet Thread, since this is more episode-related.
Finally caught up to 32 (I want to watch 33!!), and after all that... I still don't like Ken. ><;
Please tell me that I'm not the only one that wanted to smack the guy for being an idiot, and a careless Ranger. >_>;
But, the thing I enjoyed about episode 32 was the Kensei/Kenma roll call. I hope to see this subbed so I can understand a bit clearer what they said.

I find him being an idiot amusing but as i've said before, its more to what Jan SHOULD be or is trying to be. I hope TVN subtitles things faster.

Him being an idiot is kind of funny, but it just gets a bit... tiresome... I'm just hoping that after he gets SaiDaiOh, that he'll take some responsibility. ><; You know what's the funniest thing? I just started watching Dekaranger, and I realized that Jan and Ban (Banban)... are so ironically similar, that I was beginning to think those two were either brothers, or it's Ban's 'abandoned son.' >_>;

Nah just the guy likes the an names and Jan and Ban are just very very the same in character. The difference to me though is Ban could lead at times. Jan feels unleader-ish to me still. I guess thats why he isn't the captain lol though it seems that title isn't too enforced.

I wasn't really sure what to think of Ken at first but he's really starting to warm up to me. Gou's fighting style is my overall favorite but I'm really digging Ken's carefree personality. He needs more interaction with the rest of the group besides Jan though. We get that you two are "munimuni" now what about everyone else?
As for Ran, its pretty much like Kakuranger like you said. The last time I heard her referred to as Captain was when Gou officially joined the team, much to his surprise. Since then though it seems more like he's been calling the shots more than anyone else though. Ran will probably step up when it's time to chastise someone (most likely Jan or Ken).

Hmm from what I read, expect Mele and Rio to change soon.
As for Ken, I would like to see more of him really being strong. So far he hasn't had a single moment in battle where I felt excited to see him fight. Its been kind of bland. His character is amusing but the fighting is bland. I saw a clip of him using his mecha and I don't care for the robot too much.
