Alrighty then. I just spent way to much at Aaron Brothers...no more fun spending for me for a while. I went to get frames for the autographed art by CLAMP and the Link fanart I bought from Euphony and ended up returning with frames, my first box of tube watercolors, a bristol pad, a new sketch pad and a water color pad. sweatdrop I can't wait to get done with my current commission so I can play with them!

It's my first bristol pad but I've felt the stuff before and it's lovely thick and smooth so I couldn't resist. Can't wait to try out my Copics on it. Reminds me my light blue and clear blender have gone dry. Suppose I will have to look into ordering refills online or something. confused

hehe that reminds me of the fact that i've still got some acrylic painting to do. one of the legs of our coffee table broke so i've gone and used it as a canvas to paint stuffas on it. time is running short though, since the paints and brushes aren't mine and this is pretty much our last full week living down here before the big move :3

Painting the table or it's leg? Can't glue the leg back on? A painted coffee table would be interesting.

yeah we could always glue the table back on but i think it'd be a lot more fun to have the table be the canvas. it's a cheapie little ikea table and it'll give us less stuff to take with us when we move :3

Oh ok. I tried out my new sketch book today. This is my practice sketch book because I need more practice, lot's more because I've been improving very slowly. So I took it to school today not really thinking I'd get to use it until I remembered the dead animal hall. There's a hall in my school that's got glass displays full of stuffed critters. I always felt sad for them, being dead and all, but then I realized that dead animals don't move much so it would be a very good opportunity to sketch them. I started on the coyote today while waiting for class to start. 3nodding

nice! sounds like good practice. reminds me of going to the natural history museum in los angeles a few times for class assignments, sketching the animals and backgrounds they set up. they were fun trips, but kind of hard to really draw well when you're standing up with tired feet in low light conditions. (excuses, excuses..)
i'm not sure why that keeps coming up lately. last night sporkii and i watched "night at the museum", then later that night we watched a simpsons episode where the town turned into an angry mob and trashed the springfield natural history museum. and now here it is again!

Heheh. Was Night at the Museum good? I'm hard to convince to go see movies. The last movie I saw in theatres was Pan's Labyrinth and only because and art instructor said it was encredible. It was wonderful in so many ways but so very different from what I thought it would be. I'm confused as to whether it's something I want to own on DVD or not. The fawn's voice brings me glee...I should paint him or something. He's just so cool! 4laugh

I need cash. D: Anyone got any advice on taking commissions online for real money? I've never done it before. Anything you can tell me on accepting money (paypal?), being seen or pricing would be greatly helpful. crying
