Confused by what Keme meant, take what off where? the pictomancer pushed it aside snuggling into the male closer. She blushed, remembering that the first song was not one of the ones she had listed, but another duet. One sung by Peter Cetera & Amy Grant: "Next Time I Fall in Love."
Opening one eye she tilted her head up so she could watch Keme's reaction. She knew how she had reacted, hearing it the day she came back from Moochi's, but would it jolt Keme as it had her?

Keme blinked at the song, thinking he heard it once before, but it was a long time ago. He can feel his heart start to really beat in his chest as he listens to the words of the song, looking over at Relm. He takes her hand into his and squeezes it lightly, leaning over and kissing her forehead.

Relm smiled at the squeeze & kiss, but her heart raced feeling his heartbeat intensify beneath her cheek. "You said friend first." It was a good thing Relm was not listening to what she was saying or she would blanch at the poor phasing of her words. "Funny, isn't it?"
Lifting her free hand up she very lightly traced the edge of Keme's jaw with her finger.

He chuckled lightly, knowing what she was talking about, "Yea, strange how we didn't think we were what we wanted..." he says softly, wrapping his other arm around her and nuzzling the top of her head, rocking her lightly in his arms.

She snuggled closer, starting to purr. "Very strange. I wonder why that was?" Her eyes closed lightly in contentment, her body language not seeming to follow the way her speech was going. Almost as if Relm was being merely observant in her hindsight. Or that she was too wrapped up in the now to let the past bother her more than a curious interest.

"Hehe, yea, me too. Sometimes Naruto will tease me about it." he whispers, staring out ahead of them. He didn't feel up to moving right then, feeling too content and at peace while holding Relm. He kissed her forehead again, smiling.

"At least we weren't all over each other & not seeing it." Relm murmured softly. Giggling she tilted her head back a little more so that he could kiss her lips instead of her forehead better if he wanted to. "I know for me... I was so caught up in what I thought I wanted... I couldn't see what was right in front of me."
She had forgotten the order of the songs & wondered if it was to "Search is Over" yet. "You've always given me a feeling of... well, I guess peace. Contentment. Feeling like I'm okay, just as I am.... That I'm not alone." With her finger she traced back along his jaw-line, up to his ear, then lightly down his neck to where his jacket collar was. The bracelet sparkled in the sun & Relm smiled.

Keme smiled when she touched along his jaw and face, chuckling, "Maybe it would have been too weird if we were like Rikku and Naruto. Besides, I am glad we started off as friends first, that way I could get to know you first. And don't worry about that anymore Relm, I guess we both had expectations." he says softly, his tail swaying from side to side.

"I'm not worried." Relm stated, in that same soft voice she had been speaking in since Keme put the earbud in his ear. Then, playfully, she grinned up at the hummingbird male. She moved her finger back up his neck, starting to trace the edge between the colors of his markings. "oh? I don't match your expectations?" Relm teased lightly, not really caring but curious how he would respond. Still it was clear in action & tone that the pictomancer really was not worried. She was content, calm -except for the racing of her heart.

Keme blushes and stutters a little, scared he may have messed up. But he calms down when he sees the look she is giving him and he chuckles lightly, "You, Relm, are everything and more that I had hoped to have." he says, leaning down and kissing her on the lips.

Closing her eyes Relm leaned up into the kiss with a soft satisfied sigh. Whether she felt she deserved Keme's love was not the issue. She had it, & she was not about to let it or him go. At first she cupped his face gently where she had been tracing the edges of his hummingbird pattern but Relm soon glided her hand around Keme's neck to encircle it with her arm, gently pulling herself up towards him & deeper into their kiss.
Relm's heart raced frantically. She was sure Keme could feel it, pounding in her chest.

Keme could certainly feel his own heart racing as he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer as he kissed her deeper, murring softly. He ran his hands along her back slowly, his tail swinging around to wrap around her tail.

On some level, Relm knew she was purring though she did not know when she had started. She shuddered softly at the motion of his hands on her back, not expecting the feeling & loving it all at the same time. Feeling her tail caught up gave Relm another little jolt of pleasant surprise & she happily tightened the twining of their tails. Something told her she should end the kiss soon but she could not bring herself to do so.
In the process of moving her arm out from between them to go around Keme's waist Relm noticed how much she was twisting in the middle. The thought made her smiled into the kiss, knowing she would bend over backwards for Keme. Besides, it felt like forever she had been waiting to be kissed that each one held a special power over her.

Keme felt like his heart was about to pound right out of his chest, but if it did, at least he would go out happy! He pulled back from their kiss so they could breath, but he leans his forehead against hers lightly, smiling at her softly and all his love for her shining in his eyes.
