He smiled. He was happy he made her happy. It was the least he could do. She was a lovely mare, who deserved the world, and he would give it to her. Anything she asked. Relieved was a word you could use for his heart. Relieved.
"Ah now. As true as that may be, you seem to have forgotten the sheer romance of the night itself. The dark sky.. The bright promiscuous moon.. Everything about it is romantic, whether the company need be or not."
He said, trying to brighten her smile.
He snorted as she nuzzled him, and it led to a smile.
"Well, these lonely nights turn to lonely days. Do you travel during the day?"

She blushed a darker pink as he spoke of romantic evenings... could this really be the stallion of her dreams? He seemed flawless in many aspects... she wondered then what Jean thought of fatherhood and of foals. Could he possibly want to be the father of the foals Nos so desperately wanted?
"I can." She said quietly, finally realizing that he had asked her a question, "But I prefer the night time, for it's what I'm used to. What about yourself, my darling?"

"I love the night, because of its beauty. The sun hurts my eyes, but I still trample around in it. It is a dreaded thing, but one can adapt."
He said smiling.
"I love to travel at night, and save my romping for night, and sleep most of the morning away. Unless you count seeing it before you fall asleep, I dont think I've ever seen the sun rise."
He said, grinning, and loving that he could turn her such a dark pink.

"A sunrise is nothing compared to the beauty of a sunset." Nostalgia added, pleased that her beau preferred the night to daytime, as she did herself. "Night time is a more... quiet time, which makes me enjoy it more. I can never get used to the hustle and bustle of the day time.... that, and the day time is usually when foals and the like are up and about. Foals, unfortunately, don't really understand who I am... so I don't like to be around them in fear of scaring them."
She lowered her head, ashamed. If she scared foals, then however would she be able to mother foals of her own? That is to say, if her body would even let her become a mother... she didn't know if it was possible due to her ghostly form.
Her eyes lowered as her head lowered, and she stared down at her glowing hooves, ashamed for the first time of what she was.

He nuzzled his mate, and looked at her gently.
"Ma amore', do cheer up. Foals are not afraid of you, and when we have our own, " he said smiling at her with suggestion in his eyes.
"Then they will love you with all their hearts, even if they are little mongrels."
He mused, rubbing against her, and throwing his head back, so his ringlets of black cascaded around his shoulder.

"Oh, my dearest... your words warm my heart," She said softly, entranced by his beautiful mane. "I just hope you are right... I would so hate to dissapoint you if I was unable to bear children of our own. With such a handsome father as yourself, I know they'd be the most beautiful foals ever born."
She paused, then realized what she had said. Foals? Her and Jean? Not only had his words warmed her, but the thought of having a family with Jean at her side made her heart flutter happily and she couldn't think of a happier moment in her entire existence.
"Jean, darling," she said slowly, raising her head so that her lavender eyes could look deeply into his own, "Knowing that I may be infertile, being a ghost and all... would you... would you consider being my mate?"

Jean-Claude loved the thought of foals. He really didnt take too fondly of other horses foals, as they annoyed him to no end.
But their foals, would be special. With a mother like Nostalgia, they would be glimmering and beautiful, and carry around a sense of dignity rather than ignorance.
That, and how would he not want little Nostalgia's running around?
He looked into her beautiful eyes and gave her the kindest look he could get.
"My mate? Well, infertile or non, I'd be crazy to pass up an offer such as that ma amore' I must admit.
I would be honored to be your mate my darling. Foals, or non."

Giving out a happy whinny, Nos returned her head quickly under Jean's and cuddled closer, now a very happy ghost mare. She would try hard to please him, she truly would. She only hoped that he would be happy with her as she was.
And she thought excitedly of little handsome Jean's running about, with their little french accents and patient, polite ways. And perhaps there would be a little Nostalgia as well, with her insecure ways and innocent beauty.
Yes, she was a very happy mare. Very happy indeed.
Leaning up, she planted a soft kiss on Jean's cheek, hoping he was as happy as he had just made her.
