QuistisTrepe19 That doesn't change that person's reason for not even playing S4, while the text-based "adventure" of Suikogaiden is rated higher. Audible Sigh. You needn't get upset with me for enjoying text based games (which I've been playing for a longer time then I have been console gaming) more then a game I haven't played. I'll tell you what, you tell me what makes 4 so awesome and point out how I would like it compared to the rest of the series and I would seriesly think about playing it.

Agreed. I would be able to understand the fact if you did not like the game after playing it. But seriously: listen to yourself. Not liking a game you've never even played before? That doesn't make mush sense to me. Although I understand that reviews can determine your attitude about the game before even playing it, I think it would be more logical to actually play the game before becoming one of those Gawful Rabid 'N Angry S4 Haters (even without ever playing the game).

Wow... I think you girls need to take a chill pill. I wasn't COMPLAINING about the game, I just said I was told it didn't have a castle and the fighting system was different so I got a bit saddened by it and decided not to pick up the game. I wasn't saying "%@*! GAME SUX BIG HAIRY KOLBOLD B@LL$!!" I just said I heard some stuff so I stirred clear of it. I didn't diss it, I just said I heard bad things about it so I didn't play it and since I haven't I choose another game as my favorite.... for pete's sakes.... I am listening to myself, thank you so much, and I didn't say anything horrible about your game other then what I had heard... I didn't say I would never play it.
And I liked the "Choose-Your-Own-Adventure" story easy as pie "Not-even-Phoenix-Wright-level-desicion-making" because it expanded on the story of my favorite Suikoden.... so EXCUSE me for liking a simple pleasure.

QuistisTrepe19 Avianna Wow... I think you girls need to take a chill pill. I wasn't COMPLAINING about the game, I just said I was told it didn't have a castle and the fighting system was different so I got a bit saddened by it and decided not to pick up the game. BIG difference between that and You I couldn't stand to look at 4 because I was told there was no castle to build, which, I feel is one of the main stand points behind the series. that. "I got a bit saddened by it"=/="I couldn't stand to look at it", dear. Avianna I wasn't saying "%@*! GAME SUX BIG HAIRY KOLBOLD B@LL$!!" I just said I heard some stuff so I stirred clear of it. I didn't diss it, I just said I heard bad things about it so I didn't play it and since I haven't I choose another game as my favorite Instead of playing it and making your own opinion on it. Right. Yeshua. You know, just because the other players or even critics, who are paid by their superiors to either praise or bash games, say it's bad doesn't mean you can't experience it to get your own opinion. Avianna .... for pete's sakes.... I am listening to myself, thank you so much, and I didn't say anything horrible about your game other then what I had heard... I didn't say I would never play it. Let's be perfectly honest with each other: WOULD you have really gone and played Suikoden IV, despite what everyone else on the series of tubes says? Avianna And I liked the "Choose-Your-Own-Adventure" story easy as pie "Not-even-Phoenix-Wright-level-desicion-making" because it expanded on the story of my favorite Suikoden.... so EXCUSE me for liking a simple pleasure. You're not choosing your own adventure. You're deciding whether Nash will go through a back alley, be nice to Sierra, or get into a fight with Joker. That's not expanding on your favorite game: it's giving a flat character a backstory with pritty anime cels. Look... I don't want to argue about it. What I wrote probably wasn't a totally awesome way of expressing how I felt. "I couldn't stand to look at it," wasn't in a mad sense it was in a "Oh, the puppy is hurt, looking at it in pain would make me sad," type way. (If you can't tell I sometime have a hard time truely expressing exactly what I mean online and without the use of speech inflextion) And the real reason I never played it, other then what I heard, was that I didn't have time. I didn't make an opinion on it overall based on what I heard, I just know what I heard and know I don't have any opinion on it, so I stated what I heard. I personally don't take what everyone says around me to heart. I'm a freakin liberal and I am the opposite of a conformist. I just know that if I ask someone "Hey, what did you think?" and they say things that don't interest me and I don't have time to dive into it I am not going to put aside time to go do it. Sorry I got overly offended, but it just seemed like you two were so mad about people not liking your game so you jumped all over my case about my opinion (or lack there of based off only hearing here-say). I thought we all loved Suikoden and that was supposed to bring us together not throw CAP LOCK words and snid comments back and forth. I won't even get into the Suikogaiden thing anymore. Difference on opinion of what eachother finds fun. Pure and simple.

I get defensive when people don't understand what I am trying to say and are expressing it as if "I'm a s4 hater," when I'm not. What can I say... I'm on edge in the middle of the night. sweatdrop

I think Suikoden 3 and 4 were Konami's experiments. They were both played differently from the two that came before them. The battle system for Suikoden 3 drove me crazy, although it was cool to play the different characters stories. It was really weird that four of your were enemies and at least two of them died in the game before you finished collecting the 108. Suikoden 4 I think was just trying out a new format entirely. I would have perferred to have had 6 people in my main party at all times, espically since you do have one four man combo that can only be done when they are on the ship or when you send a seperate team into El Eale (I believe I butchered but you probably get the point sweatdrop ) I think it's interesting to see how these games progress. I think the only thing I had a major problem with is the main hero's appearance. I think they could have done better. sweatdrop If anything, just try to ignore how the game play is and enjoy the plot. It is, after all, telling you a story that you can mold yourself.

I swear, It's just Quistis and I on this whole: "OMFG Lazlo = SEXAY." Thomas was hella ugly compared to the Prince of Obel.
But I agree with Chiriku (similarnamesWTFmate!). S3's battle/war system was weird, but it was still a really good game.

Graphics wise< Lazlo's face is strange to me, but I do like him. Did you behead Snowe during the game?

I beheaded Snowe everytime just to see what he said (I think I cried the second time, and died of laughter the third time), and then I restart the game. Going without Snowe would simply not do. Besides, Snowe makes quite a fine addition to any overly homosexual party (Lazlo/Ted/Aldo/Snowe FTW!!!!!).
