Nimbus' eyes widened further, if that were possible. "Really?" he grinned but that faded at her helpless look. He frown and layed behind her, laying his head over her neck. His breath was slow and deep as he waited, ready to be there through the whole thing. "I'll be here..." he whispered into her ear.

Her body shook with each wave of pain that crashed within her, but forced a soft smile as Nimbus curled up against her. She was glad he was here as most lions give birth alone. The cubs stirred from within her and she could feel that they were the perfect size, healthy, and well-nourished as she had seen to that. As they moved down furthers things started to get real for Sky, it was truly time.
The heaven colored lioness growled and pushed with everything her body was made of. Her sky blue eyes began to mist over and her claws extended; digging into the earth as she began the long journey to the birth of her cubs..their cubs.
***
There they were. Two perfect little bundles of soft fuzz curled against the only thing they knew in their short life. Sky licked them gently to cleanse them of birth and to keep them dry. Her breathing was irregular as she was still sore from the event, but she couldn't have been happier. The lioness opened her brightly shining eyes and tilted her head to Nimbus, a smile plastered across her muzzle as far as it could possibly stretch.

Nimbus was grinning widely look down at their cubs with loving eyes, He then turned his head to meet Sky's gaze and nudged her head down onto his paw, have her use his paw as a pillow. "Sleep." He layed his head on her shoulder and watched as the little boy began to move.
The winter storm male mewled softly after having drank his fill of milk, and began to pull himself over his mother like she was a mountain. It took him what seemed like forever, but he climbed to the top of her side and scooted forward until he slid down her other side and landed nestled between the two heavenly parents. His father began to purr loudly and he joined in with his own cracky little kit purr.

The exhausted lioness nodded her head and gave one last lick to each cub before laying her head down on her mate's paws to rest. She inhaled deeply and let it out through her nose, her body trembling every so often, but her heart overjoyed. She listened to the little mewls of both her cubs and closed her eyes, feeling them feed and moves against her. It was paradise.
The little female, the calm of winter's storms, buried her face within her mother's sky blue fur, still feeding, but mewling. She pressed her tiny paws against the cloud patterns of Sky and daytime soon turned to night with her twilight colors and stars.

Nimbus drifted into a light slumber, ear perked towards the den entrance. They slept for hours like that, cubs nursing and playing, leaving their parents at peice. Sky's steady breathing comforted the cloudy king as he rest. It had been a long day, and a tiring one.

-The next morning-
She stirred a little and abruptly awoke as a sharp pain stabbed through her lower body, growling deep within her throat. For a second she almost forgot she had just recently given birth and rested her head back on Nimbus's paws. She glanced over to her stomach to see two soft bundles cuddled against her, and felt the body of her mate behind her. All was accounted for and she couldn't have been happier. Her fear was gone and the sun was rising, brining in a new day to share with her new family. It was heaven.
The little female mewled and rolled over against her brother, her eyes squinted shut and her little legs stretching out; wobbly. She was hungry and sniffed her way around her mother's body, only to find herself climbing on her father's nose which was hung over Sky's neck.

Nimbus snorted and his eyes shot open to find his daughter climbing his nose. He laughed and blew air on her belly, trying to tickle her. "I know.. your name is Winter.. and you shall always be my little Winter storm."
The calm snow male awoke with a grunt when his sister rolled up against him and shook his head. He squirmed his was over to his mothers chest and curled up there, only to sprawl out and go back into a rock like sleeping state.

The lioness looked to Nimbus as he woke up and smiled brightly, to see him with her daughter made the day all that much better. Her attention slowly turned to their son, however, as he worked his way into his warm fur. She bent her head down and nuzzled him gently, smiling as Nimbus named the little girl. "And this one shall be Talos, seems to me he is going to stir up some trouble, from his earlier climb up my back." She chuckled and licked the cub a few more times to rid him of the residue, and smiled warmly as he fell asleep.
Winter let out a small little mewl as he father blew air into her white underbelly. She clung to his nose and licked it softly, her eyes still shut tightly.

(HUUUUUGE TIMESKIP!)
Nimbus sat outside the caves with his head on his paws. There should have been more pride members by now... maybe he was just a bad king? Maybe he didn't have it in him like his father did. He wasn't fit to lead others... Was he? Talos was now a teen, though he had grown extremely fast. Maybe it was time he gave up and went back to Rose Petal? Talos came just in time to interrupt his father's negative thoughts. He'd been out hunting for his parents, and was dragging a large zebra behind him. From the looks of it, it seemed to have been a pretty clean kill. It had a broken leg, and was an easy catch for the teen, but he was exhausted from dragging all the way to the caves.

The lioness awoke with a yawn, it was another lazy yet beautiful day in her pride. Though there were no other members yet, she was quite content being with her family in their little territory. Sky got up with a yawn, stretching out her tired limbs and shaking out her dusty fur. She walked out from the darkness of the den, only to squint as the sun came into her eyes, the sky once again matching the pattern on her body. She noticed Nimbus first, head on his paws, an unusual position for her upbeat and happy King. As she began to approach him to see what was up, she noticed her now teen son dragging something large behind him. As she finally adjusted to the light the lioness blinked a few times, making out the shape of a zebra. "Talos! Did you hunt that all on your own?!" She was surprised at how clean the kill was and the energy it must have taken to bring it back. A smile spread across her maw as she looked to him.
Winter, a pre-teen now, heard the commotion coming from outside the den and decided to start her day. She enjoyed being lazy, but liked being active better and got to her paws. She swished her tail feathers gently and emerged from the darkness, yawning before standing next to her mother. It took her a minute to process everything through her head and fully wake up.

A large white and teal male smiled as the sent of Nimbus became stronger. He and his son had finally made it after traveling most of yesterday and night. Aquos let a yawn escape him as he walked onto the prides' lands.Leaving Rose Petal was the hardest thing he had ever done but this was for his son. A pride with less lions would comfert Stryker and hopefully he'd go out of being shy around large groups. More so, Aquos hoped Nimbus would let him join his pride along with his son...There was no point in stalling, the members of the pride would soon sence his presants. Aquos raised his head and let a roar bellow out of him to let Nimbus know he was here...Then again, how could he not know that it was Aquos from his rroar. He was loud enough to be heard but his roar cared the same soft tone his voice did. Apon his back, Stryker strid from his sleep, yawning.

Nimbus' ear flicked. It took him a moment to register that the roar was at HIS boarders, and his fatherwasn't there to meet the stranger. thenext thing that registered was that this was Aquos' roar. Santos had spoke of Aquos' planning to leave, but he had no idea why or where to.
The cloudking stood, stretching out his legs. "I'll be back in just a moment!" He told his mate cheerfully. "Good catch." He whispered in Talos' ear before bolting off towards the boarder, returning the roar. Soon he met Aquos. He nodded his head in greeting. "Aquos, what are you doing here?" He glanced at the kit on his back, puzzled.
Talos grinned at his father as he passed and then at his mother. "Yupp. It had a injured leg, so it's not as great as it seems." He shrugged. "But it's food." He dragged it the last bit of distance and dropped it before his mother and sister. "Ladies first."

Aquos gave Nimbus a bow. "I don't know how much your father has told you but I have left Rose pride beause of my son, Stryker" he tols Nimbus as he motioned to the kit apon his back, who looked back at Nimbus equally as confused. "He is afraid of large groups and that is why I am here now..Nimbus...May my son and I please join your pride?" the males asked the king.

Nimbus nodded, letting what Aquos said register in for a moment. So that cub was his? No wonder they seemed to look alike. He smiled and nodded again. "Of course Aquos! We'll talk about ranks later. You must be starving?" He grinned. "My son just caught a very large zebra, plenty for everyone." He stepped forward and nosed the little male, Stryker, with a chuckle. "You hungry, little-man?"

The small kit placed a paw apon Nimbus's nose and shook his head up and down with a smile acrosse his face.
"Thank you Nimbus...Stryker will start talking once he gets to know you...Oh? Your son is already out killing? That's pretty impressive! Let's go see it them." the teal lion said with a smile, his eyes half closed like always.
