"I am NOT going to get into a pissing contest with YOU!" Richard growled through clenched teeth. "At least your done! Your mind is still there! I could wind up like Jamal or worse!" This was the crux of Richard's worry, that he'd loose his mind. Confronting Jamal had been like looking in a mirror that showed the future. The tiger had talked, but he had been nothing but a beast concerned about it's own food supply. Other people were nothing to him. The prospect of becoming like that, a soltiary monster chilled Richard to the core.

At that, the octopus gave as harsh a laugh as his shrunken lungs allowed and he shook his head, "y'call... T'is keepin'... me head?" He was gasping and weazing and gurgling more in his anger, "Wantin' t'... rip apar' fish fer... me supper... an'... find a nice... female... octopus t'... fertilize her eggs? Dreamin'... o' sexy tentacles! ... Bloody... hidin' an'... " His tentacles coiled and slithered over themselves fitfully, his fins flairing open, "Y'don'... know me... y'don' know... how I've changed... no one does... no one gives a... shite... aboo... stupid... murdin' madman... Billy...! Feckin'... bitches an'... bastards th'... lot o' ye!" Perhaps it was the niccotine, perhaps it was madness, perhaps it was a lot of things, but the octopus's eyes were actually watering. "Feck... all o' ye. Y'deserve... wha' e'er... y'bloody... get!"

Richard was still livid, although following Billy's rant he doubted whether Billy deserved to be the focus of that anger. So he directed it outward, at the situation. "Nobody ******** deserves this! No you, not me and not all these goddamn children on this island! I don't care what the ******** you did."
Richard stepped back. His life had ended ten years ago. He just had wanted to make his death count for something. Now he couldn't even do that.

"FECK ....OFF, OLD... MAN!" It was sad the way his voice simply wasn't capable of shouting like he used to. "If... y'want... t'talk t'me aboo' somet'in... talk aboo'... me t'eater. M'a goo' boy now!" his various limbs worming about as he threw down the cigarette butt and shoved the rest of his pack into his mouth to keep it watertight befor slipping down into the water, looking ready to swim away.

"A good boy?" Richard fumed. He was too riled up to just change the subject like that. He spun around, "Fine then." There was no point in persuing the topic at this point. For a moment he just stood there, flexing his fingers as if he was about to take a swipe at something. There was a definite urge in his mind to sink his teeth into something, like it would make him feel better some how.
"It had better be a good show." His voice was still brimming with anger but the animalistic growl was gone.

Billy gave a growl, mouth protecting the cigarettes as he backed deeper into the water. He would have given a witty retort, but ******** that. Let him dig his own grave. He had learned his lesson, or so Billy claimed, and he was sure sooner or later, Richard would learn as well.

Richard left the rest of the carton on the rock fifteen feet from the river bank, seemingly forgotten. He started the walk back to his duplex, frustrated and empty handed.
