Bikou showed him the lined box of puppies. THere were five in all. Two were fighting playfully whilst one was just trying to sleep. The fourth one was trying to climb out of the box unsuccessfully, barking confusedly, while the fifth was well, doing nothing.
"Here they are," Bikou said. "And you can choose. Taka and Ichi are the playful ones. They'll probably grow into strong dogs and stuff. Mika is the sleepy one. Kinta is the really curious one, he's trying to get out again and once he damn well near succeeded. Luckily one of the kids was around and quickly put him back in. And Kiko... well," he paused. "Well, she seems to be quite shy."

Gihen stared in amazement and knelt down close to the dogs.
He put a finger to his cheek and closed his eyes.
Suddenly, he dipped his hands in, and picked up the shy one, Kiko.
He turned around and held the puppy in his arms.
"Bikou, this one, I can't tell why, I just feel that this one, would be my best ally, and friend. I wanted a female dog from the beginning anyway."
He paused and gently scratched her head.
"Kiko, she feels like the best one for me. Now, I just wonder if I'm good enough for her."
He looked at Bikou and nodded, smiling.

[-stumbles back from 14-hour house meeting- Wow that took ages! Ok lol sorry I took so long >.> xD]
The dog snuffled and suddenly gave a huge sneeze! Before rubbing its nose against Gihen. Bikou watched and smiled. "Well, she's certainly reacting favourably to you. You can have her, you might even be the best for her! Us Inuzukas are maybe too loud and rough for her tastes," he joked, grinning.
"So now what you gotta do is familiarise her with your scent. Basically spend every waking moment with her. Every moment of your visit anyway. Yeah, Gihen," Bikou said, sighing suddenly, "this part is pretty slow and you do nothing, but it will speed up eventually and puppies will learn so quickly you'll be surprised. Just pet and nuzzle her and stuff. If she falls asleep even better! She trusts you enough to!"
As Gihen had nothing to do but hold Kiko Bikou was thinking about what he should do. He couldn't let Gihen bring the puppy home as she was only a few weeks old, her eyes had just opened and she hadn't had enough of her mother's milk to be fully resistant to illnesses and stuff.
"So..." he said again. "Yeah... this is pretty much a waiting thing... what do you want to do? I could train you in other things. Or hey! Why don't I get one of the boys to have a small spar with you for today?"

Gihen looked up at Bikou and laughed.
This dog, Kiko, seemed very friendly.
"Yeah, I can hear the noises all around me."
He looked down at the pup and sat down on the floor with her, stroking her head softly.
"Yeah, I figured that. In the past couple weeks, I;ve been studying on dogs and their behavior, etc. It's pretty fun."
He looked up from the pup and smiled.
"Well, I wanted to learn how to speak better and handle animals. If you could give me an exercise that I could do daily or something, I'd greatly appreciate that."

"Hmm..." Bikou said. "Okay let me think... well, when handling animals, even though you're their friend you still have to be confident and not be shy or uncertain or anything. Public speaking is a great way to improve confidence! But since you probably won't be able to I have personally found it useful to practice in front of a mirror.." he said.
"So, if you want to do that and come back a more confident person, ready for dog training, go ahead!" he finished, grinning. "You could even take a stand, write something about something you really believe in, then it works even better! And maybe some day you will give a speech in public."

(Okay, exit post now. Must be late for classes again! XD)
Gihen looked up and smiled at Bikou.
"Okay, I see. Maybe I can request it as a lesson in public speaking in class. Yeah, then I would be able to do it then. Thanks for everything Bikou."
He cradled Kiko in his arms and rocked her gently, letting her eyes close and slowly drift off.
"You said she'd trust me if she feel asleep in my arms, correct?"
As the dog nodded off, he placed her into the box again.
Shaking his head, he stood up and turned to Bikou.
"She may feel ready, but I'm not. I need to be stronger and smarter to protect her. Maybe another time when I feel ready, ne?"
He walked over to the doorway and waved behind him.
"Gomen, I've got to get to class. They've started them up again. I'll see you after classes are over, ne?"
With that, he began to jog back to the Academy.

Mikiku entered the compoud ridinging on Hideo's back. She looked around at the other ninjas and the dogs that barked around at eachother. Hideo began to bark along with them then as he headed to Mimiku's home. "Hideo I'm so tired" She whined and then layed down on his back as they headed for home.

Jin woke up from his slumber and with a big yawn he got up and headded to the shower. like always Kyoui got up and followed him to the bathroom and waited outside for him to come out. Jin finished his shower and put on his fresh clothes. He opened the door to see Kyoui staring happily back at him. "ready for some breakfast boy?" Jin said looking at Kyo. "Bark". Kyo barked happily as the two walked to the kitchen.
Jin poured Kyo a bowel of kibbles and bits and poured himself a bowl of cereal. once they were done they headed off twords the Senju compound.

Aryza paused as she gazed at the Inuzuka compound gates infront of her. She was finally home after such a long day. Entering the grounds the environment suddenly became very noisy. Dogs barked every where. Kuroi being one of them. Woman yelled for family members to come for dinner. She smiled. Home sweet home. Seeing people she recognized she would wave every so ofter and say hi.
"Hey guys look shotries home," her brother stated teh second she entered the door. Seeing the letter clutched in her hands he grabbed at it before Aryza was able to do anything about it. "oohhhh whats this!? Got in trouble at school? Secret admirer?"
"HEY!!! Give that back!" Aryza jumped up trying to get it back. "Thats MINE!"

The boy older then her in his mid teens just laughed as he jumped away from every attempt.
'RIKU! Stop being such a jerk to Aryza," came the voice of a female. The girl was older then Aryza but younger then Kai. Around 14 years of age.
"Stop getting into other peoples business! You only take her side because she's a girl!"
"She's my little sister I have every right to get into her business!"
"WILL YOU THREE JUST SHUT UP AND COME TO THE TABLE ALREADY! OR YOU CAN GO WITHOUT DINNER" All three kids fell silent as their mother yelled from the kitchen. Silently they did as the woman said. Every one was hungry from a long day of work and training. Going without dinner wasn't something they wanted to happen.

Kai was just chilling out, lounging at the dinner table waiting for the meal to start. He'd come in quite unannounced the other day, looking for his dad Bikou and had had a pretty long chat with him. Eventually it transpired that Kai was to stay in his ancestral compound again... well, not really again. More like for the first time in his life due to dubious "external circumstances". As in, the external circumstances affected both why he hadn't stayed in the compound before today and why he was returning to stay now. If you asked him he would probably tell you the whole story, but that would be for another day since it would involve lots of passionate ranting and perhaps destruction of property... As of now Kai was just trying to get to know the other inhabitants of this house, and well, he had taken quite a liking to Aryza's mother because her cooking was awesome! He watched as three children came trooping into the room meekly after her call, and mentally whistled. This was a formidable woman indeed.
"Hi guys," he greeted them, realising that it would be a bit awkward if they started eating with a stranger at the table. He wondered if it would be appropriate for Aryza's mother to introduce him or for him to introduce himself.
