Rene wondered how she got into these sort of messes. Really, she wasn't a bad person. She respected her elders, she behaved. But there she was, sitting on the loveseat in the living room and trying to hold Bob's arm on untill Jeane brought more bandages.
It had started out early in the morning. Rene was asleep on the couch, as Luc had ursurped her place on Jeane's water bed. Of course, the Snake was cold blooded, so the warmth was needed. And after Jeane brought down several blankets it was quite snug. She had fallen asleep and was resting peacefully when there was a soft knocking on the door. The knocking was followed by scratching, and a very hoarse voice calling for 'Lish to open the door.
Like a horse let out of the paddock Jeane flew out from upstairs. She unlocked the locks and threw open the front door, and Bob fell to the floor. Jeane gasped before trying to tug him up. Bob moaned.
"M'arm." He groaned. Jeane gasped.
"What did you do to yourself?"
"Dn't do it to m'self." He muttered. "R'member th't h'lf? The one tha' you liked, and you-"
"I remember him, Bob." Jeane said, pushing back his hair.
"Well, he ripped my arm near off."
There was a rustling as Jeane dragged her elder brother up and onto the loveseat, then she started out of the room. Rene sat up and stared at him. The man was in sore shape; his left arm was hanging on by perhaps an inch of skin and meat, there were gouges over his chest. Bob looked at her and smiled.
"Hey." He called hoarsley. "Can you prop me off the couch?" Rene crawled to his side and held his back from the couch. There were two vertical rips along his back. "Thanks, kiddo." He closed his eyes and grimaced. "I'm all banged up. My arm..." Rene held Bob's arm to his body.
"You'll be fine." She said. Bob laughed.
" 'Course I will be. Jus' need to rest." His head fell back. Jeane entered the room a few moments later. She saw Rene and stopped, eyes widening. She took a deep breath before she returned to Bob's side.
"Sweetie, I need your help here." She said. Rene nodded.
"Just tell me what to do."
Between the two of them they bandaged the wounds and managed to tie the shoulder in place. Jeane shot a look at Rene. "I can't do this, okay?" She closed her eyes and placed both hands on Bob's shoulder. Her hands glowed for a moment, and Bob sighed in releif.
"Thanks, love." He murmured, gently caressing Jeane's face. "You're not like her. Not at all." Jeane held his hand.
"Good."

Sunday, December Nineteenth
I have not been able to record my journal entries for several days. Many friends of Jeane have decided to start living in our home for the holidays.
Many are no problem at all. The Heartfields, for their language and drinking, are the easiest to deal with. Glow goes out most nights, and Joshua is not at all hard to be around. Gareth does make me shiver, though.
Lynxa is the worst. She doesn't realize that she's annoying. Her boyfriend just laughs. "She's very young," He tells me. "Treat her as you would a four year old." Sian himself is like being around Joshua.
Futch is a bit like Lynxa. He is very hyper and appears to be unintelligent, but his panting skills are amazing. His friend, Chrys, is more like Gareth. I feel odd around him, but not nearly as much as I do around Gareth.
The final arival was Kyrthria. She is quite wonderful. Her intelligence is amazing, and she does not mind sitting down and explaining something. I am learning quite a bit about medical things from being near her.

Wednesday, December Twenty-second
It had been brought to my attetion that there are Dragons in our barn outside.
It started with Draco, the newest arival. He was screaming at the top of his lungs, trying to set Jeane's hair on fire. She tossed him to me and told me to take him to the barns.
After stuiting up (Because it is quite cold outside), I took him to the barn. Inside was a large dragon. He blinked at me, then rolled his eyes at Draco, who had started to coo.

Now all of the dragons and other arivals are gone, back to whence they came. Jeane is still cleaning up after them, and the other incidents.
The newest arival is now Lilac, the Bot'ny. She seems to be rather. . . interesting. She doesn't seem to be coping well with Jeane's outbursts, but she is still young. I was rather affected by Jeane when I first arived. It's been over a month. How the time does fly.

Monday, January Third
The new year has gone and past. It was interesting, to say the least, to see the ball drop on telivision. The only people awake were Draco and Bob.
"Happy New year, you troublesome pest." Bob said, ruffling Draco's head. Draco hissed and returned to cooing at the telivision. He appeared to be in love with the sparkling ball. He certianaly squealed when it went off the telivision.
Since then, Jeane has also gotten one more 'arupan', a butterfly type called Renrai. I don't have too much of an oppinion on her yet.

Tuesday, January Eighteenth
Jeane is obsessed with something called 'Suikoden'. Apparently, that's where her name is from. We had a bit of a heart to heart when she was playing the game.
"So, your name isn't Jeane?" I asked. Jeane shook her head.
"It's Elisha. I started going by Jeane in about ninth grade, because no one can pronounce Elisha properly. They say Elijah, or Elicha, and other things that are annoying. So, Jeane."
"Do people mispronounce that?"
"Well, they call me Jeanie, but that's more of a nick-name." Then she started screaming at the TV, something to the sort of 'Lino, you SUCK! Why can't you hit things, like your son? He can hit things!"

Friday, January Twenty-first
I have become quite worried about Conan. His temperment has changed for the worst. Jeane explained that toddlers tend to go through a 'terrible two' phase, but I can tell that she is worried as well.
He can be careless and rude, and he is downright cruel to Draco. He attempted to pull one of my wings off the other day as well. After he ripped Draco's plushie and Jeane gave him a time-out, I found him beating his head with both hands.
"What are you doing?" I asked. He stopped hitting himself and scowled.
"I 'member things. Things that didn't happen!" He growled, glaring. My eyebrows raised in surprise and I backed off a bit. Perhaps he was remembering his past life? I will have to bring this up with Jeane.

Wednesday, February Second
I've been trying to make more friends latley. All right, Jeane told me that I wasn't being friendly and that I needed to make friends.
I met Ash and Osbourne the other day, and Onii and her brother today. It's just that when I get around more than a few kinder at a time, I just feel like I'm quaking inside. But, at home, I'm perfectly fine with my family members.
Jeane seems pleased for the moment. She still wants to set me up on a playdate. I sudder in my chains.

For a while, the weather was improving. But it got cold again.
Jeane keeps on blurbing about how wonderfull it is in springtime. "The trees are blooming, the pools are warming, and the scents!" She says before laughing and darting away.
Fine. Spring is great. I get it. But I don't see what's in if for me. I can't swim. I can't even take baths, or I'll sink. Jeane calls me a sourpuss.

Valentine's day ride
Sometimes, Rene really, really wondered why she was being punished so much. She also wondered why she had to be the responsible child. "How far is it into town?" She asked, readjusting her place on the Cow. Conan frowned.
"Ten minutes in a car." He replied. Rene rolled her eyes; that ment it'd be at least an hour on a cow.
It all started when Jeane wasn't pleased about Bob's choice in dinner: Veggie soup. To put it simply, Veggie soup is Jeane's favorate food over anything else. But today it didn't even make her crack a smile. She just started grumbling about a bath.
About ten minutes into said bath, Lilac burst into the house holding a pink haired chibi Bot'ny kid. She streaked into the bathroom a moment later, leading to many shrieks from Jeane. The rest of the house seemed to follow Lilac into the bathroom.
"I'm NAKED!" Jeane was screaming, hands covering her breasts. Lilac held out the pink haired girl.
"Look! Pink Carnation! Isn't she adorable?"
"I'm NAKED! Get OUT!" Jeane screamed, sinking lower into the bubble bath. Bob grabbed Lilac's arm and hauled her out, muttering about imploding insides.
"Why is she so grouchy?" Conan asked. Bob sighed.
"Jeane's never been a valentines day person. She never got presents before this year, and the presents she did get were from that crazy demon guy." Bob scowled slightly. "She's just been burned before. Makes her sad." He went back to the veggie soup.
Conan thought about this for a minute. Jeane wanted Valentines? If it would improve her mood, Conan was willing to try. But, where would he get a valentine? Town was the obvious answer, but he couldn't exactly get there himself. He found Rene and Draco and explained it to them. It was Draco, oddly, who thought of an idea on how to get to town.
"Nebor's caws." He said. Conan and Rene stared at him. "We riad nebor's caws." Conan's jaw dropped slightly; that wasn't a bad idea!
"But we need money..." Rene started. Draco smiled again.
"I kno whar Bob keps stach." He said, padding away. Several minutes later he came back with several bills in his hand, looking smug.
"Okay. Put on your human suit, Draco." The dragon climbed the stairs and put on his 'human suit'. When he returned, the three went outside, Rene somewhat sourly.
"I'm only going with you because I know you'll get into trouble." Rene said, shrugging on her coat and pulling a hat onto her head. Draco had added a kerchief, dust mask, and sunglasses to make himself look less Dragony.
Getting on the cow was the easy party. Getting said cow to move was a somewhat more difficult problem. It wouldn't move untill Draco flame fingered it, and then it moved a lot faster than you would think a cow would. Rene held onto the cow's horns, using them as a steering handle. Conan held onto her, and Draco held onto him, every now and then giving the cow a flame finger.
"Watch the Cow." Conan told Rene as he and Draco climbed down. "We'll get her something nice."
Draco was somewhat amazed once they got inside the store. After all, Jeane had never brought him into a grocery before. Conan pointed to the flowers. "Pick her out something pretty." Draco nodded and went over. Conan walked up to the counter and smiled at the lady. "Hi." He said.
"Hi there, little guy." The woman leaned over and smiled at him. "What can I get you?"
"Umm... It's valentines day. Me an' my brother wanna get mommy something pretty and yummy. He's getting the pretty, I'm getting the yummy." A sudden thought struck Conan. "Umm... Could you tell me how many monies I have?" He passed the bills up to the woman, who counted them.
"You have forty dollars." She said, handing him back the money.
"Is that enough for something nice?" He asked anxiously. The woman laughed.
"Oh, yes. More than enough." Draco came back and handed him a medium sized boquet of red roses. Conan passed them up on the counter before studying the candy displayed in front of the counter.
"Hey." The woman said. Conan looked up at her. "Who's your mommy? Isn't she around?"
"Mommy's name is Jeane." Conan said. "My big sister took us up here to get her nice things." The woman frowned.
"Jeane Clark? That girl that lives out past the end of town?" Her eyes were calculating. "I didn't know she was back in town, let alone know she had three kids."
"We're all adopted." Conan chirped. The woman's eyebrows lifted. "She got me as a baby, she said. Drake is from Russia. He doesn't speak english." 'Drake' waved at the woman.
"Wow, I would never had guessed that little Jeane would have adopted children." The woman smiled before putting a gold box beside the flowers. "These were allways her favorate chocolates back in school. Tell her Britt said 'Hi', will you?"
"Okay." Conan handed her the bills, and she handed him back different ones and some coins. The money was given to Draco, who had pockets. Britt put the flowers and chocolates into a sack and handed it to Draco. They waved at her and went outside.
"Brofer fwom Wussia?" Draco asked.
"I'll never call you my brother again, okay?"
"I like brofer."
Rene helped them both up onto the cow, and they set off to home. Or, they would have went home, but they only got halfway there. A purple Beretta, the paint coming off the front end, screeched to a stop by them. Jeane was glaring and twitching at them.
"You. In car. NOW!" She screamed.
"But, what about the cow?" Conan asked. Jeane twitched again, face morphing into a snarl. Draco took quickly took the roses out of the sack and pushed them into her face.
"Happy Vawentes, Mommy." Draco smiled, ducking his head. Jeane took the flowers, a look on her face. She opened the door and they climbed in. They attatched the Cow to the Car with a rope and drove home slow. Jeane was quiet the whole way home.
"You..." Jeane swallowed deeply. "You called me Mommy, Draco."
"We were worried about you, Mom." Conan said. Jeane smiled at him in her rear view mirror.
"We got you candy, too. So your 'a** can get a mile wide.'" Rene added. Jeane's smile disapeared and she got a 'look' on her face.
"That was funny, hon. Just never say it again, okay?"

Friday, February Eighteenth
Have you ever went to sleep in one place, and you woke up in another? That happened to me this morning.
I do slightly remember Bob picking me up early in the morning, but I thought it was an odd dream. I've been dreaming a lot as of late. But I woke up in a room that smelled slightly of watermellon, with an undertone of paint. I opened my eyes and sat up quickly. I was in a strange room, in a strange single bed. To my right, Victoria slept in a crib. I slid out of bed and stood for a few moments.
The carpet was lavender in color, with walls that faded from lavender to pink. There were a few shelves along the wall, and a large closet. I slowly opened the door, heart pounding. A familar door was to my right, Jeane's bedroom. I had never been in this room before, but Pepito and Bob had apparently renovated it.
A muffled yelp came from Jeane's room, her door flew open, and she crashed into me. She picked herself up, looking slightly psychotic.
"Rene, dearest, where are my children?" She asked, eyes wide. I shrugged.
"Vic's in the room with me." I pointed behind me. Jeane sprinted in and scooped Vic up, holding her tight.
"I woke up, and you were gone, and you were gone!" She babbled. "Where are my boys?"
"In the other room?" I guessed. Jeane ran to the other room and threw open the door. Conan and Draco each slept on their own beds, and Vincent slept in a crib. Jeane handed Victoria down to me and gathered all three up into her arms. This was a slightly fun thing to watch, as Jeane wasn't exactly a gracefull person. But, with only a minor amount of difficulty, all three boys rested in her arms.
Down the stairs we went, to confront Uncle Bob. He was flipping flapjacks. Jeane settled each child down at the table, kissing each on the head. She picked me up and did the same. Then she walked over and smacked Bob on the back of the head and called him a few names.

Friday, February 25th
As of late, there has been a strange man stalking around the house. He did come in last week to speak with Jeane, but she told him, in words she doesn't like me to say, to get out and leave her alone. He did get out, and he is leaving her alone. But it is odd to look out the window and see a man eight foot tall just staring up at the house.
I bundled up today and went outside to meet with him. He took off when I followed him, but I trapped him in the barn. Apparently, he's been sleeping out there.
"Greetings," I called. He peeked out from behind a bale of hay.
"Greetings, yourself." He called back. "Jeanie send you out here to get me?"
"No." I said. He came out from the hay, dusting his robe off.
"Why you here, then?"
"I was just curious. Why are you here?"
"Stalking." He grinned sheepishly. "I pissed her off pretty bad the other day. Trying to get back on her good side."
"That'll be hard." I commented. He rolled his eyes and smiled.
"Yeah, I know. But it'll be fun, in an expensive, painfull way." He reached over and patted my head. "Now, inside. You'll catch your death."

Several days ago, I met another kinder named Aviani. She seemed quite nice, and she showed me how to wrap my chains around my wasit. Now I no longer trip on them.
I only wrap them when I am in public, though. They are ment to be my punishment. It's not fair for me to duck out of it.

Tuesday, March fifteenth.
Jeane's pregnant. That was a funny conversation. She tried to explain to me, first off.
"I know what happens when, and how, people get pregnant." I told her. She took this well.
"Good." She looked releived. "One less kid to explain the birds and the bees to."
"Birds and the bees?"
"Don't ask me. That's what the big sex talk is called."
"Humans." I scoffed. Jeane rubbed my head.

Friday, March 25th: Kagura.
Draco has left our house, and has been replaced by a demon-dragon named Kagura. She has long black hair, wears a kimono, and uses a fan.
To put it simply, Kagura and I do not get along. I nearly 'jumped' her, as Jeane put it. I thought I tackled her to the ground and tried to strangle her with my chains. Hmm. Humans and their odd phrases.
While Draco was here, he and Kagura did not get along. Even though I try to be a good child, and a good human, I cannot stand this creature. I will try, though, not to harm her.
