Another chuckle. "Apparently establishing our location on a tropical island does have a few drawbacks. Namely, some nasty diseases that spawn from the mosquitos that are fond of the ever-warm temperatures. Dengue fever, namely. But! Thankfully to the miracles of modern science, there is a vaccination." He gave a sweeping gesture to the needle.

Dengue fever, ew. Without much more hesitation, she rolled up her sleeve, holding it out for the needle. She was fairly used to these things now, with the doctors she had seen they always wanted blood samples and this and that. "You know, in my day we didn't have all these fancy vaccinations, you got strep throat and you died. And what about my cats, shouldn't they get these too? I don't want them getting sick you know! I take good care of them, even when I had more, I took wonderful care of all of them. No reason for them to take any of them, there should be exceptions to those limits." She trailed off, apparently still peeved about the removal of her other feline friends.

"Fortunately for your fuzzy felines, animals are not plagued with this ailment. So they won't need any shots. And yes, what a nightmare that was, yes?" He said with a small smile.
"So no denge fever, and no strep throat. This is to be a vacation that you enjoy. Healthily."
Sabin swabbed the liver-spotted arm with alcohol and then deftly inserted the thin needle and injected the serum into her arm.
There was a burning heat that spread through her arm, and then all over the rest of her body - a bit more fiercely than most of the shots that her doctors delivered, but nothing completely out of the ordinary.
Sabin tossed the remnants in the waste recepticle and then gave her his best smile once again. "And that's that. I can take you to your room now if you like?"

"Good." Again, no smile was returned, simply falling into silence as her arm was swabbed and poked. Atleast her cats were safe, and hopefully safe out in that jeep... No crazy wild animal to get to them or something, hopefully. But surely this place was safe for that, afterall.. it was a pet-themed resort. If any of the pets got hurt there'd be hell to pay from any of the residents.
She was met with a heat from the needle though, something she wasn't expecting, which resuted in an uncomfortable huff. Several thoughts running through her head, for one it vaugly reminded her of the hotflashes in good ol' menopause. Secondly, she was concerned about her medications. Trying to decipher the list in her mind that had been failing such memorizations long ago. She didn't have any allergies to medication, atleast. Crap, she should have asked... No, he should have asked. What kind of doctor didn't ask about that?
She grabbed her cane and stood, quite ready to leave, "Is it supposed to feel like that? Burning? You should warn an old lady you know, what if I was to have an allergic reaction? You'd get fired for sure!" she hobbled up to him, ready to leave if it was supposed to feel strange. Some things just did that.

"It is natural, Ma'am. Just the vaccination doing it's job." He placated.
"It will pass shortly. You might have a little bit of a fever tonight. Vaccinations are lower grade variants of the diseases after all, but if you take some tylenol it should pass. If you didn't bring any with you, they have some in the town hall in the center of the ring of rooms." He offered.
Taking the time to jot some quick notes in her file, he left it in a outgoing box to be transcribed to her computer record before going to open the elevator.
They backtracked back out to the car, and once again he held open the door for her before taking his position back in the driver's seat. The cats were all safe and sound in their kennels in the back seat.
"Now, it's just a quick drive to where you will be staying."

She gave him a suspicious look, but let it go, nodding to the instructions and moving out the door ahead of him. Just to the elevators nad first floor right? She didn't like leaving her cats alone outside.
She iddn't leave him behind though,(and he could have easily caught up with her) despite her urge to get outside, she would atleast stop at the elevator if he wasn't there by then. One, because she didn't know how to work it right now, seemed like some werid voice technobable, and two because he was the one driving. So she'd get herself and her cats back to their room faster if she just waited for him.
She gave a few passing notes about the technology, useless ramble about how computers were taking over and they didn't have all this fancy stuff in her childhood.
She was releived to see the cats were safe, and got into the car quickly, buckling in again. "Finally, you hear that sweeties?" She peered back to the cages, "We're almost there, if this man can drive proporly without killing us that is." she snorted, turning forward again.

"well, I suppose so... since you asked so Nicely" Sabin smirked as he turned the ignition and started the jeep off towards a different gate that likewise swung open to admit the vehicle.
This time, it was about a ten minute drive down a dirt road through the jungle. Again, the jungle cut off abruptly to a cluster of two-story cookie-cutter buildings in a wheel-formation around a much larger central building. It was obvious that the trees had been clear cut from this area to give space for the duplexes. There were even a few stranger structures - buildings built into the lake on one side - or high on stilts on the far side if she was paying close attention.
But Sabin drove towards one of the closer bundlings of buildings and parked, handing her a key with a plastic keyring with the number "11" on it.
"And here we are. You are here on the bottom floor. And... I can help you carry your bags in if you like."

She gave him a you better look, finally falling silent for the first time since the start of that morning. Honestly it was only because her throat was becoming dry, and she didn't want to lose her voice again. That was always such a pain. Instead of complaining, she just gave him dissapointed looks every little bump.
She began inspecting the scenery, jungle, which turned into a clear area of buildings. Just because she didn't plan on socilizing with anyone didn't mean she couldn't be nosey about where they lived. She noticed the lake buildings first, raising a brow and frowning... Maybe it was for those people with goldfish or something. Weird, cats were much better than fish. Cats ate fish. Next were the ones on stilts, squinting and raising a hand to adjust her glasses. "Is this area prone to flooding?" she questioned suddenlly, attempting to put two and two together. Floods weren't uncommon, and she'd seen houses on stilts like that before. And that explained the waterlogged ones alot easier, maybe the lake had just rose up.
She took the key, eyeing the duplex distastefully, yet inside she was fairly releived, finally she could relax, with no pesky neighbors bothering her to cut her stupid grass! Ah yes. She held the key in one hand, heading to the door to unlock what she was sure was locked. Most hotels had locked doors. "Yes yes, thankyou, I could get it myself, but it takes these old bones alot longer. But be careful, there are breakables. You break anything and you're replacing it!" The thankyou almost sounded hollow with all the threats.

He smiled at the excuse that she offered readily. "Yes, flooding. This season isn't bad at all - so you have no need to worry. But we keep the elevated rooms just in case."
"And No problem, Ms. Pucket." He responded carrying in a few cat cages that were mewling plaintively.
He set them down on the carpet and went back for a second trip while speaking.
"If you need to reach the labs, just press 0 on the intercom. You can reach any of the other buildings by dialing their room number and then the pound key."
He tipped his hat as he stepped backwards out of the door frame. "I do hope that you and your cats enjoy your stay here. Perhaps some time you can meet my cat." Sabin beamed.
"Do you have any other questions before I head back to the labs?"

Barbra nodded, flooding, ofcourse. Yes, wasn't she smart for figuring that out. It was a moment of pride that would later elave when she discovered the true meaning of the island. Oh the labs would get an interesting call on that one...
She opened the door, goving a look around the room... Not great, but not bad, atleast it hadn't been painted thousands of colors with pictures of animals everywhere like she had half expected a resort like this to pull. She liked cats, not a barrage of fish birds cats puppies and god knew whatelse, probably some of those snakes and lizards. But no, none of that. Making it all the easier to settle in.
She did return once to help carry in atleast one of the cages, refusing to give into the steryotype that she needed to have everything done for her. If she could do it, atleast some of it, she'd try. Just something that had to come with that firey old nature.
But Sabin had gotten most of them, and the rest of the luggage, all inside. She hardly even waved to him as he made his exit, until he mentioned his cat, sparking a breif intrest. "No suprise that you have a cat," atleast now that she knew he had one "Cats are tough, calm but they don't take orders from anyone." she gave a nod, as if relating that to him in some weird compliment "I don't like people much, heck i don't like you much, but maybe." she gave him that, before shaking her head. "Nope. Now shut the door." She shooed him, starting the daunting process of kneeling down to start letting her cats free while they mewled to get that. "I'm coming I'm coming." She waited til the door was closed before unlatching the first one, then the next, and the next...

The bags were situated, Barbra was situated, and so his work was done here.
He nodded, sympathizing with the comment. "Yes, they can be sweet, or fickle and leave 'presents' in your bed if you irritate them for whatever reason. But I wouldn't trade him." Sabin gave a genuinely fond smile. He rarely took to an animal, but Beastie was special. And Beastie liked him, which was even more rare. Well, aformentioned surprises aside, but still. He was a cat - and what else could be expected?
Sabin nodded and stepped outside, shutting Barbra in to tend to her 'flock' before heading back out to the jeep and then to the labs.

Barbra decides to actually leave her house and check out the cafeteria, only to have an unpleasent experience involving a Satanic-retarded-crack-whore's-Baby. Or.. As most call him, Miller. [x]

It'd been a painful hobble back to her duplex, but she was there now, safe inside the room (now locked) and immediatly finding a seat on her mattress. "Ooh..." She heaved a breath as she lowered her heavy body, it seemed like it weighed a ton. Eyes shut as her hips flared with a aching pain... But it'd pass soon, just don't move, she told herself.
She was soon distracted by a horde of cats swarming around her, princess speciically mewling for food. "Right right..." she sighed, pressing her weight into her cane to scoot her way over to the little phone. Press 0 if you need anything, that was what she'd been told. And she definatly needed something now.
Setting her cane against the dresser, one hand picked the receiver to her ear, a wobbly old finger reaching out to press the correct button. "Hello?" She questioned a voice that came up on the other end, "Yes, Barbra, room 11, I need roomservice. I want some breakfast." She ordered, glancing to her cats "Some hooligan ATTACKED me in the cafe! Mumbling some satanic curses on me, I swear, what kind of resort are you running? Someone ought to put him over a knee an-Don't interupt, it's rude! Hm? Oh right right, first I need some dry cat food-- What, no not for me you idiot! For my cats." She huffed at the phone, only relaxing as Fluffy decided to jump up and shove his way into her lap. "I also need wet cat food, shrimp for princess, and tuna for the rest. As for me i need some applesauce. I have dentures you know, I can't eat anything thats too hard to chew... Bring me some lunch and dinner too, whatever easy to chew, I don't want to have to keep calling back all day." She frowned at the numbers, running a hand over a purring white blob, waiting for everything to be okay. Luckally for her, the labs had (reluctantly) agreed. "Good." Was the only responce she gave as she hung up, looking to the persistantly mewling Princess. "See honey, mommy took care of it, you'll be fed soon." She cooed to the cat, whom didn't seem like she'd be pleased by hollow promises of food.

Cody Archer In front of the door of your duplex lies a small gift wrapped in regular paper by a string. There are some words scribbled with ordinary pen, saying: "Merry Xmas. From Cody" ((Cody doesn't remember the number of most of the duplexes his friends live in, so he painted gifts for everyone))
