Whoever was talking about the "True friends won't care." or whatever; it may be true, but sometimes it sure as Hell doesn't seem like it.
When I was first coming out, I was freaking about telling my almost sister (we're that close) that I was bisexual because she hasn't always been the most gay-positive in the past and she gets nervous about lesbians.. Thank God when I told her she only started a PM war with me!
But not for the reason you'd think. She thought that I'd been telling everyone and not her and she was hurt because we're so close and everything. She's neutral now.
Rachanny was the first to know because it came up in a three-way MSN conversation about it and I was yelling at this guy when it slipped out. She was fine. Next morning, I randomly blurt out that I told Rachanny to my best gay guy friend, Connor, and that's how he found out. Once again, fine.
Then I waited for a long while and when Connor came out to some unknowing members of the group, I nudged Conn enough so that everyone else found out about me.
Immy found out that night. Flamming PMs lasted for 2 days. Then we still wouldn't talk properly for a week.
Other than that, it's been amazing how accepting people have been.
Oh yeah, and the first night Immy was yelling at me dad saw I was upset, asked what was wrong, and voila! He knew too!

its hard for people to get out of the closet, even to those they know wont care. i think most people have the same fear i do which is to be looked at in a different way

I know this is a common question, but I need to ask it.
How did you know when you we're bi? And how did you feel when you we're trying to find out if you we're or not?
I'm just still questioning about it... its hard because their are girls that I do like, but they way I try to think of it is 'could I ever be sexual attracted to a girl' but everytime I ask myself I think 'no.' But yet I still have my crushes. I'm just confushed of how to sort it apart.

Me personaly, i thought i was 100% gay at first. But then i met really nice women, and then i thought i was 100% straight. But then i kept meeting really nice guys so then i knew that i was bi.

Right now I'm a lesbian, but supposing I meet some guy, I'll probably be straight xD But I'm just kind of going by my history of never really liking boys in any kind of serious way. smile

I had a sneaking suspicion I was bi by the time I reached junior high.
I'm still not sure why this comes as a surprise to my mom, she's always told me I had levels of testosterone in me than other women, yet she still gets shocked. ^^

DetermindGopher well im bi, i guess you could say im still 'in the closet bi' though. The reason is because my best friend is homophobic slightly. Im ve trying to figure out how to tell her with out having her flip out on me, yea i know " If shes really your friend, your sexuality wont matter". The thing is, i dont think she notices that shes homophoobic, or at least doesnt ean to make homophobic comments. any ideas? Oh my gosh! I feel so bad for you, but I can't say I relate. I'm bi, and my best friend is a lesbian! sweatdrop I dunno, I'm sorry, I wish I could give you some advice.

I dunno, my thing was that ever since I was real little I knew I was attracted to girls, too, I just....kinda denied it. I think a lot of people truly believe they have to pick one or the other, and that's where some confusion comes from. i don't really know what to tell you, it might not be bisexuality, maybe just...like, intimacy. And also keep in mind that just like heterosexuality, bisexuality needs time to grow and mature. Maybe not right now do you feel like being sexual w/ a girl, but that might change in the future. Just give it time, I guess.
