The ribs extending from the flesh of his chest began working back and forth in a motion reminiscent of the mandibles of a spider or some similar beast. The swarm of blades moved to have an angle on Yusuke to cover him from all sides. They held for a moment as they began to spin in a barrel-roll type motion that caused them to look like footballs of varrying size. The swarm would start up the attacks again, concentrating their attacks now on his head or torso, but on his right arm when possible. Meanwhile, Jonas was calmly floating with twin pyres set upon Yusuke with a returned indifference that almost begged the man to attack. Blood began to renew its trickle down his upper lip as his mind was pushed beyond its current enhanced limits.

The aura would suddenly diminish, and already, Yusuke would be rushing Jonas again. The blades heading for him would be dodged with sidesteps to the right then to the left, alternating between these directions as his eyes were set only on his opponent. The air fell to the speed he was moving, charging Jonas with relentless force. If he ever is able to get into direct range of him, he would send a left hook right for the man's chest, aiming for the opening and closing blades that he had stored there, not bothered by the dangerous intent of them. If it struck, his hand would send out a force indirectly caused by the motion of his arm, and the thrust of power from the energy within, aiming to break his chest cavity apart with this one attack. And if that resonance field was here, Yusuke's fist would not be repelled like before. It'll only be stopped where it struck, but the momentum would not move back at him. Instead, it'll continue forward, expanding to the sides, where it would follow its motion to try to assault Jonas's body. A successful result would be Vexic being flung through the air and toward the wall behind him.

Jonas didn't even try to dodge the assault, gladly accepting one more strike to increase the pain that flooded the human nervous system he was tapping into. Instead of flying back some considerable distance Jonas merely seemed to slide back in midair. This was, of course, accompanied by a rather nasty shower of blood and gore for some distance behind him as the struck portions liquefied and were forcibly expelled. The ribs would both try to wrap around Yusuke's wrist while others would attempt to stab the offending appendage. The swarm of blades tried not to assault him to a damaging degree, but moved in with the intention of trying to stick to his skin and clothing. They seemed to begin polarizing, becoming almost magnetically attracted to the spirit energy the spirit detective was giving off. The flesh of Jonas's body was quivering, but the frame was resolved to slaughter the man and push him into an endless torment for his own betterment. The two hands whipped out in an attempt to grab Yusuke's shoulders while the skull of Jonas whipped forward in a motion as if to headbutt Yusuke. The combination of red and black fluids dripping from every wound as well as his nose and ears was something that would be quite painful on contact with skin. The black portions of which were agony, a form of pain distilled into liquid form. Would the spirit energy repel the man's blood?

"What the...!" Yusuke was in awe with this guy. Not only did he just stop right in mid air, but he was showing no effect whatsoever again! Damn it, was all that was going through his head as his left arm is offended by this man's ribs, the blades looking like blenders wanting to shred him to pieces. He would leap back off his right foot when it touches the ground, avoiding them with a removal of his arm, as well as letting the hand grab miss his shoulders. The blood that will spill from this man's face would drip onto the sandy ground upon just missing the detective, who slides back yet again. A sweatdrop on his face showed that he was showing frustration in taking this guy down.

Then, not to mention those blades. How annoying they were, now pouring in again toward him, causing Yusuke to leap back more to try to outrun them, keeping his facing toward them, but they wouldn't let up. "I can't believe I'm being chased down by metal," he says in annoyance, coming to a direct stop, his arms going to both sides as red energy empowers both of his fists. "Well, not today!" He then punches forward with both fists.

"Double Barrel Shotgun!"

Immediately, a great burst of demon energy would be released from the thrust of his fists, causing a flurry of projectiles to fire out in a wide range, like the bullet spread of a real shotgun, all spreading out to assault the incoming blades. Upon contact, their intention was to destroy them. Unlike the spirit energy, the demon energy wouldn't be repelled, which would cause it to generate a crushing effect on these blades to try to incinerate them. If this worked out the way he was envisioning, then bye bye blades.

Stepping down the stairs in the stands toward the edge would be a short old woman dressed in a martial arts attire. Her hair was a faded pink, as her skin looked faded in age, too. But her eyes were piercing in look, as if they still held the strength that this woman once possessed. Genkai would stop right there and look below with both arms behind her back, crossed, as she looks on this fight between her pupil and his opponent. She already knew what took place here, and found it very annoying that it was happening in a place like this. It was time she took control of the situation. Yusuke needed another lesson, and this Jonas Vexic fellow needed a rude awakening of what he just got himself into.

As the demonic spirit energy blasts collided with the blades they did not seem to vaporize, but each one actually seemed to scream. The metal frame did indeed have metallic properties, but it was still part of the greater whole of the Pain Elemental known as Jonas Vexic. Yusuke had simply succeeded in trying to destroy part of the skeletal structure of the elemental and in doing so caused the being quite a bit of pain. The blades seemed warped slightly under the strain of the attack, but the black fluid that dripped from them made it clear direct attacks against his frame were not the best strategy.

The twin pyres stemming from the emeralds set in the sockets of his metallic skull began shifting as the ethereal flame began to burn the skin. Even as the swarm of blades moved to connect with Yusuke again the form of Jonas darted forward into a charge with his right hand extended towards Yusuke. Blood dripped to the ground and began to spray away from his torn flesh as he entered a rapid spin. The claws extended towards Yusuke's chest looked exactly the part of blender blades as they prepared to turn the spirit detective's chest to paste. It seemed almost every last puppet-spectator began to rise off the ground in preparation of a massive attack against Yusuke.

"Damn it," he scowls, some of the blades still alive and homing on him again. And not to mention, Jonas was charging him with that bladed hand, with fluid dripping from his body. He would call it blood, but that couldn't be blood. Not from this guy. His teeth clenched tightly, he would take the next approach in trying to stop this guy, aiming his right finger directly toward him, a red orb of energy circling at the tip of the index finger, while his left hand grips the wrist of his right hand like a gun. It would shine in color, Yusuke drawing energy right to the point of the finger. Would Jonas continue his assault, despite the warning of a direct attack?

While Yusuke was dealing with Jonas, she could see and feel the psychic link of the metal man taking over the spectators. Thankfully, she was here to solve that. Her eyes would glow a brilliant cyan as a flow of spirit energy conjures from her being, flowing over the stadium like a calm sea. Each of those innocent bystanders would feel a safety over their bodies, create a barrier that should be more than enough to disconnect the psychic hold this Jonas had on them. The field is dense, so it would be difficult to destroy it if opposed. This should allow Yusuke to continue with at least that problem out of the way. However, she couldn't make up for the people this man had killed. But she needed to knock some sense into her pupil before he gets himself killed.

((Genkai, you do realize that shielding Jonas's puppets from his influence is interfering with the fight, right? Its no different from interfering with his influence over, say, rocks or benches he is picking up and throwing telekinetically.))

Genkai would find that disrupting the telepathic and empathic links on such a large scale would be difficult at best. Furthermore, the spectators would continue rising anyhow despite her efforts, chunks of the arena tearing away around them, and her, as Jonas's influence expanded. Perhaps it would be best to leave before Jonas tried to throw her as well. The more effort she put into interfering with Jonas on such a large scale the more feedback she would begin to acquire as the two forces clashed. The strain on Jonas would only be causing him greater pain as his brain was overwhelmed and would thus push his own attempts with that much more fervor. Genkai would effectively be giving Jonas a power boost against his will, something that didn't look good for Yusuke in terms of the fight at hand.

((Even without that, I think the use of spectators against Yusuke is a rather fun RP aspect. Reading him playing true to character to try to save so many innocents has made this fight one of the best I've had in a while. Waltzing in and ending my fun is not appreciated. Sure, its underhanded and sneaky to use his personality against him, but Jonas isn't exactly good at playing fair.))

Jonas had no worries about the attack aimed at him as he barreled towards Yusuke in his spin. The man had not yet given evidence of knowlege of the elemental's achilles heel, so why be worried? If one could see the man's eyes in his spin it might become apparent that the pyres were contained, barely covered by the eyelids of the man.

((This is Yusuke, actually. I brought her in in order to provide a way to help Yusuke realize his own faults in this fight. The psychic interference with her was to help protect the spectators and make the fight more fair for Yusuke, knowing that the action alone was not easy on him. And the defense wasn't exactly something to interfere with the fight. She was doing like any person would to try to stop the influence from overcoming the audience. Oh, well. Back to the fight.))

Genkai would move her hands forward as her body glows like Yusuke's once before, using great concentration to try to equalize the pressure against both of their psychic strains. If she could do that, she could keep the crowd from being thrown off their feet. But somehow, he was winning. It looked like he was using something as an amplifier to increase his power beyond normal means. This didn't mean she wasn't capable of combating this type of force, only that it was more faster than she could do at her current age, despite her experience.

((Also, nice way of making up for your character's psychic power with the use of pain. You took the very concept of it to remove the common limiter of someone's mind and body, while making up for it by having it be its own strength. Nicely done, though kind of unfortunate. But, might as well enjoy this.))

"Eat this!"

A great blast of demon energy shoots from the finger, spreading in size as it fires right at Jonas and his blades, aiming to not only get rid of the rest of them but to blast Jonas straight through the wall all the way across the arena. The very sand was brushed up into a tidal wave as the air around them subdued to the very force that this attack exerted. Yusuke would keep his left hand gripping his right as he looks on, believing that this should do it against such a foe, his right arm bending from the recoil of this attack. Just like the demon energy did his blades, he was hoping to do the same to the body of Vexic.

((I figured, but have been known to have been wrong. XD As for his psychic abilities, it just seemed to fit into the pain elemental character theme I've been trying to build for about three years. I looked at what I wanted but couldn't build it correctly. Then I saw twenty billion psionicists use big bullshit powers without backlash, not even a nosebleed. Jonas let me get both my pain elemental and show the way psionics should be done. I mean seriously, who erases a part of a plane and then rebuilds it without so much as a ******** nosebleed? Not that I'm talking about any-Vexicbody in particular[/rant]))

The flesh of the right hand seemed to strip away as the blast began to make contact with the body of this most peculiar Vexic. The flesh itself was vaporized, albeit more slowly than would be expected, as the frame within began to draw from the overwhelming punishment being applied to it. A spike of psionic force pulsed through his mind to compensate for the rapid influx of pain, and thus power. Those puppets held within Jonas's control, or just suspended by him, would begin darting high into the air, riding the peak of his pain and pleasure. Whether or not this would overload Genkai's efforts outright is another matter entirely.

The shredded arm quickly twisted and seemed to come apart to act as a shield in front of Jonas. The metallic substance was twisted and covered in carbonization, but stood up to the test being placed upon it. The faithful are rewarded when they are tested, and this first disciple was no different. His body slid back some fifty feet as he strained against the power of the blast, strips of flesh tearing away from his body along the way.

When finally the blast ended and the arm returned to a skeletal frame instead of a shield he was a changed man. All the hair had been burnt from his body and strips of skin were exposed to air. The right arm was twisted and bent, in total about two inches shorter than its counterpart, but whole nonetheless. Where one might expect blood the thick black fluid of agony began coating his frame. The pyres in his eyes had gone wild as he revelled in the destruction wracking his body. With madness came clarity, and with clarity came insane certainty. He knew he was a perfect being, he was certain of it to an extent a sane man could not be. What else but a perfect being could withstand such punishment?

The sound of metal screeching across metal tore the air as his grim laughter flitted about the puppets. He had lost track of the blades, certain they would come back eventually, but for not he did not care. The puppets began a lovely dance as they ascended through the air, writhing in a mutual pain, a mere glimpse into the torment of Jonas's body. As each began to sail towards the arena in numbers reaching above the dozens Jonas brandished his damaged limb, "Kill me before your punishment kills them all."

Yusuke's finger would remain forward as the blast carries his foe backwards for a good distance. When it was all over, he could see that his opponent was more damaged than before, showing a very stripped away body. "Come on, you got to be kidding me," he says, seeing that the man was still alive and well. But what's more, the people! He looks up, quickly seeing them starting to fly up. "This is not good," he responds in a very worried manner. His nightmare was returning to him. That same nightmare he briefly experienced at the Dark Tournament.

Genkai would feel the spectators leaving her mental grasp faster and faster. But she would finally lose hold of them once they are pulled into the air, showing dissatisfaction in letting that happen. She looks back down to Yusuke and Jonas, finding that the two were more apart than before, due to Yusuke's Demon Gun. She realized now who Yusuke was going up against.

"Yusuke," she shouts down to her pupil.

"Listen to me, and listen well! Do you remember your fight with Toguro? Of course, you have. This fight is no difference. Remember when you had that big wall of crap between your power and your emotions? In order to send that wall crashing down, he had to teach you a lesson in caring for others, by killing one of your friends. His intention was to drive you to be stronger. However, this man is not the same. He is killing these people for his own enjoyment, and for the torment of you. You understand your power now, which is why there is no longer a need to try to show you the light, Yusuke. Therefore, do not feel guilty for this. Instead of mourning, you should be instead changing their fate by getting rid of this man one way or another. Crying won't do you any good. It is not your hands that are pulling the trigger. So stop acting like a dimwit and use your brain for once! There's a difference between being the murderer and being the victim."

As the psionic influence of Jonas increased over the fifty suspended forms silence fell across the puppets. None of them seemed to be in pain despite limbs twisting in traumatizing ways and bones beginning to slide through flesh. Even as their bodies began to split the air with incredible speed towards Yusuke for a suicide attack they seemed to almost be at peace. None of them felt any of the pain as if all of it had been stripped from them and their bodies left numb. Indeed they had, for the twin pyres of Jonas's eyes seemed to rage all the stronger as he shot towards Yusuke. His right arm thrust forward in another similar assault, the hand spinning about the wrist as if it were disconnected. The ressonance field around him seemed to be growing stronger, and where the normal spirit energy would have met resistance and repulsion it would now most likely be distorted beyond use. This meant that the demon energy would most likely not react favorably with the field, and if the fight went on signs indicated that Jonas was only going to get stronger, by the looks of it.
