Obie looked up at her and brushed her dark bangs out of her eyes as she thought about it for a moment.
"Um... I don't know. It's kind of hard to think of just one moment," she smiled a bit shyly as she watched Madison prepare the fish for supper. "He flew me to Okinawa one weekend. Just to get away for a bit. He does a lot of little things too at the most random times. He makes me smile a lot," she smiled just thinking about all the wonderful little things he had ever done for her. Again she couldn't believe how incredibly lucky she was to have met him.

Madison smiled warmly as Obie spoke.
"That really warms me to hear that." She said as she started to prepare things. "I'm glad you have someone to look after you out there, so far away. Especially someone who makes you feel so good."

Dinner had come and gone and afterwards everyone had disappeared to different corners of the house to occupy themselves as they waited for eleven o'clock to roll around so that they could go to midnight mass together. Obie had decided to take the opportunity to steal the shower while everyone was occupied with other things, rather than waiting till the last minute and having to fight them all.
Walking into the bedroom, she hummed softly to herself as she dug in her suitcase for something comfortable to wear for the time being. Holding her towel tightly around her, she pulled out a pair of track pants and a t-shirt and tossed them onto the bed so she could get changed into them.

"I wondered where you had got to." Ra said as he slipped into the room and shut the door behind him. Smirking he slipped up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. "I have a suprise for you." He said softly, kissing her bare shoulder. "How would you like part of your Christmas present early?"

Obie glanced over her shoulder at Ra as he walked in and smiled happily as he kissed her shoulder. As he slipped his arms around her, she smiled more and looked at him as she leaned back against his broad chest.
"Part? You mean I get more than one?" she smirked, reaching up to run her fingers into his soft hair. Placing a kiss on his cheek, she eased out of his embrace and turned to face him.
"Should I get dressed, or can you not wait?" she asked, running a hand up his chest and leaning lightly against him once more.

Ra smirked and shrugged.
"I suppose I could let you get dressed." he said as he disappeared over to his bag. "Though the towel suits you."
Falling silent for a moment he searched through his bag for the envelope.
"it's actually a gift from my parents, they gave me some fuds because they know how we like to travel. I didn't want to give it infront of your parents as I don't want them to think they have to get us something. Especially something expensive."
Grinning he held it up and walked over to her.
"How does this sound? New Year, New York ... you, me and a fairly posh hotel?"

Obie smiled as he pulled away and turned back to her clothes to pull them on. Slipping her shirt over her head, she turned to face him and pulled her hair out of her collar as she listened to him. Sweeping her damp hair out of her face, her eyes fell on the envelope in his hands as he started back towards her.
"Are you serious?" she asked, quite literally floored as she looked up into his eyes. She studied him for a brief moment then quickly threw her arms around him and hugged him tightly with a broad smile. "I can't believe it. You're parents really gave this to us?" she asked, looking up at him with a bright smile. They hadn't had much time for travelling the last few months and being at Times Square on New Year's was going to be amazing.

Ra grinned as he got the desired reaction and hugged her back.
"yes I am serious. They told me we have to get them a souveneer but that se should experience New year somewhere." He smirked and kissed her forehed.
"Don't wory, I booked it so we'll be in the same room. And after th overwhelming family christmas, I think it will be nice to just be alone before we have to go back."

"Oh my gosh... you're so right about that," she grinned and rolled her eyes before giving a small uncharacteristic girly squeal and hugging him again with a small bounce. "I'm so excited!" she exclaimed and reached out for the envelope to open it and look at the tickets to see when they left.
"Tomorrow is going to be insane," she said as she slipped the tickets back into the envelope and handed it back to him. "I mean... you've seen the albums right? Their family is not small," she said with a nervous smile.

Ra laughed and nodded.
"I know this is different circumstances, but, if you have survived my family I think you can survive any." He said with a smile, tossing the tickets down and pulling her back into his arms. "Besides, I'm here with you all the way." Smiling for a moment he leaned down to kiss her deeply.

Obie smiled and slipped her arms around him as he reassured her.
"Thank God for that," she smirked softly as he leaned down to kiss her. Deepening the kiss more, she slipped her fingers into his hair and pressed herself against him before slowly easing her lips away from his.
"Mm... you're going to be hard pressed to top that gift I think," she smirked as she trailed her kisses along his neck. "Heh... it's moments like these I wish we had insisted on staying in a hotel," she murmured softly, running her hands down his back to slip them under his shirt.

"Aww don't say that." He said with a smirk nuzzling her neck a little. "My actual gift is going to start getting an inferiority complex."
At her second statement he laughed and pulled away from her.
"It'll make that break all the more fun." he said with a wink and a loaded look. He was glad they had agreed to stay with Madison and Brad, it made the christmas feeling all the more special to be surrounded by a family.
"There's not special dress codes or anything for churce are there?" He asked as he pulled his scarf out of his bag.

Obie laughed softly and watched him pull away.
"Um, no. Not really," she smiled and walked over to the closet where she had hung their nicer clothes. Rummaging around she pulled out some slacks and a button up shirt. "These will be perfect. Probably with a tie too. I'm just going to wear a skirt and nice blouse. Much more relaxed than your services I would imagine," she smiled and slipped the clothes back into the closet. "How are you feeling about attending your first church service?" she asked walking across the room to run a comb through her hair.

Ra shrugged and started to change into the clothes she had pulled out. They were the kind of clothes he wore when he was at his parents or around family. Smart and conservative. What he would wear to the mosque with his father.
"About the same for men." He said with a smile. "Although I would wear a hat type thing on my head."
Smiling he pulled on the trousers and started to button up his shirt.
"I'm a bit nervous and it does feel a bit funny. Like some hand of god might come down in a Monty Python manner and point out the non believer. if my grandmother found out I was going she would go nuts. My mother wouldn't mind, i think she is the same as me, likes to explore to gain understanding. I mean our services are different, if anything I think more relaxing. A lot like meditation in a way.

Obie laughed a little at the mental image he provided for her and gave her head a small shake.
"I think you'll be surprised. Christmas is usually the best time for other people of other religions to come in because you'll get a bunch of family members that come for the holiday that aren't Catholic. So you won't be the only one not participating fully. I still haven't decided if I will really. I wasn't kidding when I said it had been a long time since I had last gone. But I'll just have to see when I get there," she smiled a little as she began to blow dry her hair.
"Do you ever randomly worry about this? I mean... about the differences in our beliefs?" she asked once she was finished and turned the dryer off.
