"We have met," Scion replied shortly, clearly less than thrilled by the memory or by having run into Kuro again. However, he flashed a toothy grin at Aara's explanation, making a show of glancing around to be sure they would not be overheard before replying. "Not quite right, is it? Good, then things are progressing as planned. The weather is not of my doing, but the feeling carried by it..."
He trailed off and paused, one ear twitching back the way he had come, then grinned once more. "The stone emit an aura all their own, which calls certain Jivvins to them. But I have found them first, and I have mutated that aura, to they know not what it calling and wave it off as a change in the weather. The stones are mine, and they are none the wiser."

He shot a glance at Aara before turning his attention to Scion once again. He had take something? Why did that sound like something Jhadia would have done? Probably because she would have.
"The feeling was caused by rocks?" Joy just what he needed. "What kinds of stones could make us feel strange?" And why hadn't the demon who owned him ever bothered to research what he was. This being in the dark was starting to tick him off.

"... Stones?" Something itched at the back of his mind... Something he should have known... A question whose answer was just beyond reach. His brow furrowed slightly. "And what of those who note the change and come to seek its source, as we have?"

"Crystals, to be specific," Scion replied, solid blue eyes glittering. "We need not fear. They will not know what they are seeking." Calmly the white Daewl sat back, and in the blink of an eye had turned to Quen, sitting cross-legged on the snow, where he still failed to sink or leave any sort of mark. His hand disappeared into his pocket and a moment lately he withdrew three gleaming crystals, the largest a dark, stormy blue, the smallest a lighter, pale blue, and the middle a firey red. He held them out towards the pair for inspection, eyeing them himself with some excitement. "Quen crystals."

The strange word struck a cord in his mind. He knew what it meant but he could not place it. "Quen? ... That is what you are now? Two legged." That had to be it.
The crystals that were produced from the other's pocket were interesting. He was not one to generally care for shinny things but the crystals did seem to have that same strange feeling that had brought him out of the house in the first place.

Quen, what those who didn't know the language called 'fourther'. He stretched out his neck, leaning in to gently sniff at the crystals as if expecting the magic to have some sort of scent. They didn't, of course and it was silly of him to think that they would. "... What will you do with them, Scion?"

He graced Kuro with a nod, more interested in the crystals than in bickering with the other Daewl, and poured over the three like a dragon would it's hoard, occasionally shifting one or the other in his palm. Finally, however, he straightened up slightly, eyes briefly flitting to the pair before returning to fix on the crystals. "I shall keep this one," he began, plucking the stormy blue from his palm and repocketing it, "for my son. And the others..." He pondered over the two for a moment, then took one in each hand, holding the blue towards Aaralyn and the red towards Kuro. "If you would like them."

He sniffed at the crystal for a moment. If the things were magic who knows what it would have done to him, but then again if it were magic then it could be useful. Reaching out he plucked the crystal up with his teeth carefully.
Thankfully it didn't taste strange. That would have been rather weird and unpleasant.

He had many questions to ask... How did the crystals work? Was it painful? Was the change instant? How easy was it to change back? What if he decided that he didn't like it?
He chased all of those questions away as he looked up to Scion before lowering his eyes to the crystal. "... Thank you, Scion." Carefully he leaned in to pluck the crystal from the elder Jivvin's palm.

The change was instant, and occurred the moment both picked up their respective stones. Smirking appreciatively, the white Daewl let his hand fall and rose to his feet, now level with the new Quen. He replied with a simple nod, eyeing each curiously for a moment. And then, quite suddenly, there was a second Scion beside the first, and a moment after that both Scions were gone, leaving instead a second Aara and second Kuro. "Look at yourselves," the two said in unison, perfectly mirroring the actions of their counterparts.

He frowned at the image in front of him then realized that he was indeed further from the ground than he was used to. Looking down he was surprised to see hands and a body, a body like the two leggers.
"Holy s**t ..." His eyes widened as he looked at the image of himself and back down at his own body. That was rather odd if interesting.

His first reaction to the being on two legs before him caught him offguard as it was far too calm. Instead of jumping back or letting his eyes widen in awe he brought a hand up, marveling at the movement of both his own arm and the arm of his 'mirror'. His gaze traveled down along his arm to a slender wrist... To a hand... To fingers.
"... I have fingers." His first words with a new mouth and a different tongue. Words that would forever mark his own bit of wonder as he brought said fingers to his face, looking up at the 'mirror'. Fingertips trailed over flesh; pale and smooth save for an indent on his cheek that he knew would also trail up over his eye.
He closed his eyes, letting a soft smile curve his lips as his hand fell aside. "Thank you, Scion, for this gift."

Both 'mirrors' chuckles in unison, then vanished completely to be replaced by the white Daewl a split second later. "My pleasure. But then, I could not hide them forever, and the Council would only take them should they realize I have them..."
He paused, tapping his chin thoughtfully, then smiled. "They are better served in your hands. But if anyone asks, Jack gave them to you."

Oh yes because Jack would give him anything. He poked at himself, glaring at the still torn ear, and wondered how he was going to get used to all this. At least this meant that how if Jhadia said anything about getting near his size he could pull out this trump card. She'd be horribly jealous of him and he loved that idea.
Poking at his now vertical hips for a moment he looked at Aara. The new form fit him well. He still looked pretty and dignified and like he belonged somewhere nice and elegant.
Shaking his head he tried moving and somehow managed to take the few steps over to Aara before he had to catch himself on the blond's shoulder. Looking at Scion he grinned. "Thanks .... mind if we vacate and get out of this cold?" He didn't really wait for Scion to answer him and tried to, without falling over, to drag Aara off with him. His feet were cold and he wanted to get away from all the snow and cold before he froze to death.

["Jack..." He hadn't met Jack personally, but the name was familiar enough that he knew there had to have been some sort of story attatched to it somewhere. "If anyone asks your secret is safe with us." He nodded slowly...
... And then, the moment Kuro's paw... No, Kuro's hand, reached for him he felt the cold against his skin. Time, which had seemed to freeze along with the chill winter air, had started again. He shivered slightly, wishing for his fur to keep him warm. His wish was granted as he sank back to the ground, golden eyes gleaming up at the white Daewl. "Thank you again, Scion."
As much as he disliked the thought of leaving now when he still had so many more questions to ask he knew that it would be better to sleep on them now and ask later if they still seemed pressing when he awoke. There was also the chill to deal with... Despite the reappearance of his fur as he took to all fours once more he was still cold... He found himself longing for a warm bed and blankets; things he had never truly appreciated before.
It was time to start appreciating them.
