I have 6 currently. On my left arm the yin yang from above, the left ankle has a king cobra that goes all the way around with a blue rose next to the head, my left inside wrist has a heartagram, my right upper arm (near shoulder) is a king cobra wrapped next to a small skull, and just below that is a heart with a blue rose through it (my eldest son drew for me), and last but not the final one....blue eyes on the back of my neck. When I can figure out how to put pics on here again I will post pics of some of them.
My hubby's arms are covered & he has a bunch of different ones but the best one in my opinion is: our son's baby footprint (from the hospital the day he was born) on top of his left hand with his first name ribboned under it and his middle name on his left knuckles. There is also a small clock that marks the time Damien was born between his thumb & first finger. He also has the foot print & name of his older son & the handprint of his older daughter (from another marriage). But he has a BUNCH of ink! Marie

Sapphyre Enchantress OMG I have that same one on my left arm!!! I love it!!! (see my post for all my tat descriptions!) eek that is so awesome.. almost kind of creepy lol but awesome.. How long have you had that one? I'm sure you've had it just a bit longer than me.. It's my first and currently only tat.. need to get some touch up work done on it.. and then I've got a few more in mine.. but finance as always are tight so I'll be lucky if I can get one done again before christmas.. If all else fails I'll get one next year as a birthday present to myself or something..

I think I got that one 1.5 ago. My wrist one should get touched up but I don't know if I will. It kind of adds character to it. Here are pics of a few of them

Just a tid-bit of random info for today.. I went and had my tattoo touched up today.. I love my tattoo shop, Jordan, the girl who did my tattoo originally back in Feb. touched it up for me for free today! biggrin And we've started passing ideas back and forth on my next tattoo.. Anyone have some ideas for me??
My next tattoo is going to be a memorial tattoo. I originally planned on just getting one for my dad.. (which I may still do as another one but I've still not come up with something suitable for his memory) but I have recently lost a lot of my family so I decided to get something I could add too... I already have seven names and dates to go into this tattoo.. (which really is kind of sad I must admit... but even worse is that I know it will be added onto even more as the years pass) Now the question is what to get and where..
I saw this awesome rose vine tattoo at the shop today.. The girl who had it has it on her back though.. which is out for me simply because I want it somewhere I can see it and be reminded of my loved ones and because I'm just not in the best shape and I don't want to be showing my back off like that.. (plus wearing a bra for the week or two afterwards would suck @%%.. ) So... anyways... I was thinking if I got something like that I could put the names and dates in the leaves... I'm just not sure if I got that one where I would have it put.. I was originally thinking of it going down my arm.. but like I said.. not in the best shape and I think drawing attention to my chubby arms may not be the best idea lol but then again the rest of me is chubby too... so... lol yeah...
So.. I'm not deadset on this idea yet so what other ideas do you guys have for me?? What are some other Memorial Type tattoos that you guys have seen and heard of or have?

name ones are hard for me. I have been trying to figure out one I can have the 4 kids (my bio kids) names put on without it being to gawdy.
I will keep thinking though. Marie

lol thanks sapphyre... I know I'm having the same problem not wanting it to look gawdy or end up taking up an entire limb... If I think of anything else I'll let you know though...

I'm currently trying to find a design for a memorial tattoo for my great uncle. He was an artist, so I'm trying to find an old sketch or drawing of his to actually get inked on me. I have to wait for a while though, because my next one I'm getting is the angel of death wrapped in fog on my calf.
As far as idea, for one with names and dates, I'd say find something that you could make your own but have the dates added if needed. I have a bone dragon on my arm that has more of a serpent type body that looks like ribs. It's currently unfinished, and I want to wrap it the whole way down my arm.
The new sections I'm going to have wrap over things that link to events in my life. So, as an example, if I get married I will have 2 rings hanging from that section. I did this this way, because I wanted something to mark points in my life, and the dragon is reflexive of my interest and personality.
