“I’m fairly new to the area,” the rabbit said “ you must tell me if there is anything I should see.” It was fairly obvious that the anthro had absolutely nothing to talk about, but was still desperately trying to carry on a conversation.

D shrugged. There were many things to see... in the city. Somewhere he only went if he was required too. "Not much to see out here... unless you find various tree's, broken barns, and a cementary amusing after a long while" He walked up the large steps leading to his home and took out a small key to unlock the door.

“I do tend to find cemeteries beautiful. They have an elegance and an air of respect that I find most appealing. The rabbit said as he followed D inside.

"Heh.. what you say is true. You asked what there was to see. If you see cementeries all the time are they really out of the ordinary?" He sighed getting inside and unbuttoned his vest. He threw it over the couce in the main living room and then slumped down on it. Food would wait, his feet were killing him. "I do not particulary know what you plan to do here. You said you do now eat.. but you can have a room if you need one."

"I am happy to walk with you home, but I will not intrude.” Akuji pulled a small business card from his pocket, and dropped it in front of D. “Please, call on me if you ever want company.” The rabbit said turning to leave. “Thank you for a better evening then I have had in quite a while.”

D twitched, staring at the rabbit before him. He wasnt very fond of cuddly things... those the tail did amuse him. Throwing the business card on the floor he got up and slowly walked behind Akuji. "You know... normally refusing an offer can hurt someones feelings. You have a problem with my dusty, broken home?"

“I think that this home is one of the most wonderful in this city.” Akuji said evenly. “And I merely did not want to be a burden. However, I also do not want to insult you, and if it would cause no disruption to your life I would love to stay the night.” At that he shrugged out of his long hooded coat and hung it on one of the pegs by te door. "By the way, is there a ghost here?"

"Burden eh? If you were a burden I would have tried to trip you on the way over here. No... you are no burden to me." D watched Akuji hang his coat and thought to himself. He wasnt sure why he talked to this fellow.. now he was offering him a place in his home." "Ghost? If there is one it hasnt annoyed me yet. Lord knows whats in my house anymore"

“If it isn’t too much trouble the, may I ask for a room? I may not eat, but I do rest, and I would like to if that is not a problem for you. Hopefully we can talk at further length in the morning?”

D tapped his claws on the small table near him. "Yes.. it is no problem. Keep going down that hall to the left and just pick any room you want. There is sadly plenty of them." His eyes glazed as he yawned. He picked up his vest from the couch and started down the right hallway to get to his room. Making it to the entrance of the hall he shook his head to himself. "Yes.. tomorrow we can "chat""

An odd noise woke Akuji at, well he had no idea what time it really was but he knew it was still cold. Having slept in his clothes he slipped out of bed, (scratch that it wasn’t still cold, it had moved on to damn cold) and quickly crossed the distance to the door. Slipping into the hallway he quietly crept toward the sound. Rounding the corner he saw D wrestling with several large boxes , and what looked like a freshly cut spruce that was none the less quickly loosing all of it’s needles. “Need any help?” Were all the words the rabbit seemed to be able to find.

D turned around to see Akuji there. He wrestled with the box currently in his hands and put it down on the floor. "Help? With the lovely decorations for the most pointless time of the year? Why not... grab a box and pick something to put on this.. tree I guess." He looked at the poor tree and sighed. It was too cold even for him to have actually gone far out to get a nicer one. This one was form his property. D didnt particularly like Christmas. He never actually had anyone to share it with so he decorated mainly.. to do it. Perhaps part of him always wanted to find a gift under that lousy tree he put up each year.

“How about this?” Akuji said with far kinder voice then he normally used. “We’ll start a fire in the fireplace, and then we can see what we can do about saving this tree.” He moved into the room and opened on of the boxes closest to him. “Oh my,” he said softly while pulling out a delicate icicle ornament. “You have some beautiful ornaments D.”

D blinked and stared in wonder. "My my ... you have an interest in this dont you? Fine... I shall get the firewood from the back." He went out in the cold again and got a few chunks of wood. He then came back inside the house, shivering. Putting the wood where it belongs he then turned on the heat which slowly let a little warmth into the room again. He then sat in his comfy chair and sighed, clutching himself from still being a little cold. "You celebrate what people call a holiday? Or.. perhaps you just like the glitter it causes people to put up?"
