"Well, Lune, I'd best be saying the morn' of tomorra, for your kits be needing their sleep, I think. I'll go be sleeping by the beach, so's not to being disturbing your young ones." He smiled at the cubs, hoping not to frighten them, and trudged towards the sand.

"As you wish." Lune nodded, laughing a little as Rea waved frantically at Kosim's parting form. She selected a wider branch, down below where they would be hidden by leaves. She and her children curled up and, after some restless playing, fell asleep.

Kosim thrashed in his sleep, beating away crystal clear, blue-tinted waves with weak and soggy paws. He sank beneath the deceptivly beautiful waves, mouth slightly agape in shock, saltwater rushing in and choking him. Underneath the ocean was a dark and gloomy realm; one seeming beautious from above, and unrecognizable once within. Kosim reached for the top of the water, sinking slowly, as fire burst above the waves. Soon there was more and more fire, but Kosim could not answer. He closed his eyes slowly, sinking.
"GRAAAH!" He yelled, bloting from his restless slumber. He caught views of birds rising from their trees in fear, and wondered if he woke Lune Liniore and her flock. The sun was quickly rising, so Kosim pulled himself upright and headed towards the temporary nest.

Lune had woke, having years of training under her belt on sensing the slightest, possibly hostile movement. Her kits slept on, dreaming no doubt of chasing delicate mice and looping after shadowy bats. She nudged her children, ignoring their child-like whines for "five more minutes".
She turned to catch the last flash of bright pink in the sunrise, seeing the bright orange spread and fade into blue sky. The day was cloudless, perfect for flying. She let her kits fly off to find their breakfasts, solemnly earging them to haste.

Kosim nodded at her and the kits, a signal that he saw their awakening. He turned without a word, and trudged back towards the sand, not nearly as eager to depart as he was the night before. He shuddered at the memory of the Blue swallowing him, but Kosim straightened, telling himself if he backed out now, it would be disastrous. of course, he had no idea why in the world it would be horrid, but it would. He was being called. He had to answer. He took a deep breath and started shoving his logs towards the water.

Lune wrangled her kits, nudging them towards the roaring early morning waves.
Soon they had dashed from her, down the beach, and were laughing gaily while they romped.
She gave a call, and they each in turn called back, acknowledging their play time would be short this morn.
Walking serenely, Lune stepped over to Kosim, awaiting his deprature. Once he was safely adrift, she would send her call again, and would lead her kits into a slow flight, dropping one feather each mile or so. The day was bright, visibility optimum, and her markers would be clearly seen.

Kosim started trekking back to the forest. "Be needing more binding." He said gruffly, and disappeared into the woods. Once out of sight of the shore, he started scratching the trees, growling low under his breath. "Great Blue." He spat the word like a curse, but continued his search for vines or flexible roots.

Lune acknowledge this with a nod, and let her children play a little in the surf while they waited. She gazed out across the water, missing her mate and knowing that he would have been already at the mount, should he have been here for this war. His fierceness had always been a shelter for her, when times were dark, she knew he would keep her and their children safe. She turned away from the sea, trying to keep hold of what she had.
