Kira sighed and placed his hand on Rivera's cheek gently, looking her dead in the eye. "No... You misunderstand... I want you... To marry me..." He said quietly, he said quietly and kissed Rivera's forehead. He wanted to kiss her on her lips, but he had more respect for her than that, and only gave her a light peck on the brow, wanting that true kiss to be for if she said yes.

"...I... " Rivera didn't know what she could say to this. She was trying her hardest to give her love to Kira, but... what did love feel like? She had no idea. She's had little hints and snatches, but never recognized them for what they were. Here she was with an ultimate question, and she simply had no answer for it... because she was a clueless, strange girl. But if marriage meant the bonding of two people... and if saying yes would help her love him, and keep him from dying, then she would do it. Kira's kiss sent little warm shivers up her face, making her blush... why did she always do that when he kissed her? "... yes. Alright..." She consented.

Kira felt his heart leap when he had her answer. She had agreed to become his wife, and he was happier than he had ever been since his reincarnation. He leaned forward slowly and placed his lips firmly to Rivera's, caressing her's lovingly as he placed his arms around her, pulling her gently to his body.

Rivera slowly returned his kiss, getting a tiny glimpse of love through the covered window of her life. She could tell what love felt like... but her heart wavered continuously, trying to understand what the purest form of that feeling was... but she couldn't reach it. She kept what memory of that sensation in her mind that she could retain when he held her closely. Every bit of life in his breath was warm and comforting on her face. She wrapped her arms around his neck on instinct, deepening the kiss.

Kira released the kiss after a few minutes and sighed happily. He then let her go completely and held her hand gently. "Thank you Rivera... You don't know just how happy you've made me..." He said gently. "Well, we should get going... The entrance hall isn't where the fun's at... We should be enjoying ourselves..." He said lightly.

"Ah... alright... where would you like to go?" Rivera placed her hand in the crook of Kira's elbow and leant against him gently as they moved on to their next destination. She'll leave it to Kira to decide. The ring on her hand glistened softly, but its brilliance was not yet full...
